Food is average but nice
appearance. Convinced no good pad thai exists on LI. need to go into NYC. second time had a bus boy that lifted a dish w/soy sauce off the table in a rush and knew from his attitude it wasn't going to be pretty. Splattered and he didn't care. Only because I jumped and said something did he give me a napkin. No apology. Reflects mediocre service."

As always the food was delicious.
This time we tried the lettuce wraps and the baby spare ribs - both were very good. I have only one suggestion. If you are going to mark an item on the menu as spicy, then please make it spicy!"

The restaurant is truly beautiful.
I expected to be wowed by their food, especially considering that their prices are higher than other local and delicious sushi restaurants. We had two major problems. The first is that their Grand Opening menu that they hand out in the front has the food at lower prices than what they actually charged. The second and biggest issue was that the waiter asked us if we would like edamame for the table. It was like asking if we wanted bread. Then they charged us for it! That's really slick and I don't like being tricked by my restaurants. We only had the sushi and the mini vegetable rolls and they were only ok. The rolls were mostly dough with very little filling. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant."

I love this place. It is located
in a strip mall with a nice big parking lot. The decor is very nice and the bar area and dinner seating areas are nice. They had a happy hour and the food and drinks seem very reasonably priced. I have never seen such a diverse menu. There is definitely something for everyone. The food was great! I will be back and I hear they have other locations that I hope to visit some day."

I have been to this restaurant
twice and twice it was spectacular. Wait staff, manager and of course the food was wonderful. I will be making this a frequent flyer for me."

This was the 2nd time I have gone
to MoCA. The first time was great. Food was delicious, beautiful ambiance, fresh and delicious sushi. Unfortunately, this was not the case on our 2nd visit. Our waitress was not on her "A". Only brought out 2 of our 4 dishes. It took over 20 minutes for the other people at our table to get their food. When they brought them over, the duck was cold. This is an expensive restaurant and we expected better. It took almost a half hour to get our 2nd set of drinks. We complained to the manager and he was genuinely sorry. He blamed his new waitress and explained to us that she might not make it in their restaurant. He also said he was taking 10% off of our bill for our trouble. Bill was $260. Not Toku."

I have been to Moca 2x and loved
dining there. The staff is very attentive. Food is delicious and their martinis are great. When you first walk in you say Wow cause it it so gorgeous inside. They have a big bar area but they seated us right away and we were hungry so we were happy. The food was delicious and everything came in a timely manner and hot. We were able to hear our conversation with our friends. Def going back again."

My first time there and I thought
service and food was a Great!!! Def would recommend !!!"

I really enjoyed my experience at
Mocha. All the appetizers we ordered were excellent. Service was a 10! Sushi was fresh and tasty."
Dined on 6/19/2014
Pretty simple. 18 dollars for a
sushi roll that I get down the street for 12 is just too much."
Dined on 6/15/2014
Not my first time at MoCa...This
time will be my last....From the staff at the desk when you check in to the poor service from the bartenders. Noone smiles or likes to make eye contact. My reservation was at 730 and we got there early and sat 20 mins late. Hostess had an attitude... Food was good but why do bus boys have to use a rolling cart to clear the tables???? Its an expensive restaurant with a fast food mentality???"
Dined on 6/11/2014
We are becoming regulars. The food
is consistently delicious and nicely presented. The restaurant has a vibrancy about it that is very inviting. We just visited for our 3rd week in a row. Good sign!"
Dined on 6/8/2014
Although there was no promise to
honor seating requests we were very disappointed with our choices even though we had a reservation with a special request . We were told we had a choice between a table next to the noisy bar or an empty private room in the back with no ambience . That it exactly what we said we didn't want having been there before! They did say we could wait for a better table but they had no idea how long that wait would be on a bysyvSat. night . This spoiled our dining experience!"
Dined on 6/7/2014
We have visited 3 times and
enjoyed each experience. The menu choices are wide and varied and the food is delicious. We are looking forward to going again, and just might become regulars at this relatively new restaurant in Woodbury."

I keep hoping for good restaurants
on LI, but one again, just average. The sushi is decent but word of caution: Do Not Order The Pad Thai. Service wasn't great had to ask them to take our dishes away. Sat in front of us for 25min. "
Dined on 5/22/2014
This is a beautiful restaurant
with a wonderful ambiance. Rich woods, cozy booths and wonderful accents. We ordered a variety of dim sum and gyoza for appetizers which was delivered to our table in suspiciously lightning speed (under 30 seconds). All of it was doughy and had clearly been pre-cooked and then kept warm. Sushi rolls came out about 1 minute later...sushi was very good...what happened to "dining"?! We notice this disturbing trend in many "fine" restaurants as if it's more important to maximize turnover than provide a quality dining experience.....We were in and out of there within 30 minutes. Tip: If you go, order one thing at a time ---never the apps with the main course & shoo the waiter away in between..skip the appetizers!"

My second time here. First time
for lunch. Beautiful restauarant with excellent food"
Dined on 5/20/2014
We had the Crunchy Crunchy Crunchy
and Seared 3 Ways for appetizers. Absolutely delicious! We shared the Baja Roll and Steam Lobster Roll and they were amazing. I will definitely return to try more things! The ginger lychee martini was also excellent"
Dined on 5/14/2014
This was our first visit to MoCa
and definitely not our last. The most difficult part of dining was picking something from the menu. There were so many great choices and everything we chose was delicious. Soon it will be difficult to get a reservation!"

Nice Design. Had a reservation
7;30 and it was honored right on time. When I made reservation told them I heard wait would be long even with reservation. The seater told me that she knew I had concerns so made sure we sat on time. Bravo! Service was very good. Waiter was right there when we needed him. Food was excellent. Everything we chose was delicious. Had heard when they first opened has some problems with servers. We had a very nice experience."
Dined on 4/19/2014
We were six for lunch. We had an
adult,16 year old and a 6 year old who all love sushi and they were very happy with the their choices. Everyone else was very happy with the rest of the menu. The food was excellent and the presentation matched. We were there for lunch and it was not crowded. There was plenty of help and the waiter was very good but somehow our food was slow in coming out of the kitchen. The ambience was excellent with a low to moderate noise level. But this was lunch and the bar was not crowded. The menu pricing was more than reasonable for the quality of the food. We will definitely go back. "

i have been here twice in the past
month. The previous restaurant in this space was very nicely appointed so i was very surprise that extensive work was done to create a very esthetically pleasing, upscale experience. the venue is beautiful. the food was excellent. the menu is full of many diverse choices. my only comment is that the bartender (on 2 occasions) was not very accessible. hard to get attention. they need to be more attentive to bar patrons. the wait staff in general is young and not too professional. they also need to be more attentive in checking in with dinners as to whether they need anything."

Went with another couple on a Fri
night. Definitely had a great vibe. Our waiter was outstanding. He was fun to talk to, had great recommendations. We went for the chef selection. It was so worth it. The sushi and sashimi was so fresh. We ordered 2 other rolls. One we ordered with brown rice. The rice was so dark and complimented the roll very nicely. i will definitely be back! "
Dined on 4/11/2014
we ordered a take out bag for the
rice and the duck that was left-the waiter didn't include the brown rice that was left(almost the entire amount was left) we found this out only the next night when had the the take out."

This was my second time to MOCA in
about a week. The first time I went with a friend and the service was good. The food was good as well but not memorable. This time we were two couples. The waiter took our husbands' orders but after three separate occasions of stopping by our table, my friend had a difficult time placing her order. Therefore all the food came out first and then hers followed."
Dined on 4/4/2014
Although we had a reservation it
took them half an hour to get our table. Appetizers had arrived and drinks had not yet gotten to us Dinner overall was just okay. Nothing special."
Dined on 4/2/2014
Thought the food was top notch and
the place was beautifully decorated. Had lots of the kitchen apps, some sushi and a the pad thai, everyone loved every single thing. Will definitely be coming back Bar up front was empty ( sunday night) but lts probably packed on fridasy and saturdays."

Much needed new hot spot in
Woodbury! Although it comes with a wait for table, the manager & staff did their best to accommodate our group. The sushi was extremely fresh and presented beautifully, service was attentive and the decor is beautiful. Thumbs up!!"

The place is beautiful and sexy.
The food is excellent. All in all a great night"

This was our 2nd dinner at MoCA.
We went to celebrate a family member's birthday. We were happy to return to try some different items on the menu. We got the Short Rib appetizer and it was a hit with our guests as well. A variety of rolls were ordered as well as the Chilean Sea Bass entrée. We had excellent service and all requests were immediately fulfilled. We ordered the Large Omakase for $120.00. Photos were taken & the staff and the maître d' seemed very excited! I did make a note in our reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and curious to see if they actually read the note and would come over to ask if we would want to do something special for the birthday celebrant. Nothing happened. This was the only disappointment."

New Hot Spot in Woodbury...food is
great and sushi is very fresh. The tables are seated too close to each other though."
Dined on 3/22/2014
The decor is beautiful, really
inviting and a cool place to dine. That's all it has going for it. The food was boring, of all the rolls I was intrigued by maybe two and wasn't impressed by their composition. Got lettuce wraps to start that were just as good as California pizza kitchen. 7 of us and no one really had anything exciting to say about their meals. We waited 45 minutes for our 830pm reservations. The hostesses should really dress more appropriately. They were sloppy and disheveled. manager walks around shaking hands but doesn't know how to do anything else. Bar scene is jammed but with old cougars wearing halters w flabby arms. Typical Woodbury crowd good for people watching at the bar."
Dined on 3/21/2014
I'm so happy MoCa replaced where
Nisen used to be! I love how the place looks. The menu has so many options you can't go wrong. I had the duck and it was so worth it, definitely recommend. The only downside is that most of the servers are too inexperienced, I've gone there multiple times and had different servers each time. The only one I want now is Rob. Also, they don't fill the water enough. Aside from that MoCa is a great place."
Dined on 3/15/2014
Main thing the food ( sushi ) was
not good at all dry and too much rice I order about a month ago and pick it up The food was not good either that's why I went back I thought It will be different in dining . Nisen was much better food and much better ambiance Should of kept that ."
Dined on 3/8/2014
Nisen closed, and MoCA rebuilt
this beautiful space with soaring ceilings and lush surroundings. We were seated immediately and the waiter gave us suggestions. The steamed shrimp dumpling appetizer was ordinary; everything else was amazing. Super fresh Kumomoto oysters in Ponzu sauce, mini ribs were tender and delicious and falling off the bone, great yellowtail and jalepenos, Uni shooters, tasty mini-dumpling soup, minced toro on crackers, and a variety of sushi and sashimi offerings - all very fresh, generous portions and artfully presented. My only complaint was the pace of serving - everything came out immediately. We asked the waiter to slow it down and keep some items in the kitchen - he cheerfully complied. I can't wait to go back!"
Dined on 3/7/2014
Started off sharing the chicken
lettuce wraps, why 5 pieces of lettuce give me 4 or 6. The chicken mix was salty. The sauteed asparagus should have been called asparagus stalks as there were only 3 tips in the portion. The calamari salad was over dressed and small for the price. My wife did like the sushi pizza."
