MTK hits the right note between elegant and accessible. The room is relaxing and the service top notch. The food includes a terrific burger and steak and also slightly more complicated items. I tried the scallops with eggplant and figs and thought the combination of sweet and salty was perfect. Definitely worth the money.

We went their for Sunday Brunch and it was as good as expected. The traditional eggs Benedict was perfectly prepared including a crisp, not soggy, English muffin. The smoked salmon literally melted in your mouth. If you like Iced Tea you are in for a surprise that I've only seen at this Four Seasons

The menu prices and your final tab may surprise you, but when you factor in dining at a Four Seasons hotel property, with windows overlooking downtown San Francisco and Market Street below, the price point makes sense. The food is (as one might expect) beautifully crafted in flavor and presentation/composition. Service is attentive and kind. But the best part of the experience: lemon ricotta griddle cakes - a must try! These were like soft clouds of butter + powdered sugar + lemon zest + light cheesy goodness. Heavenly!

A very adequate spot for a Sat. brunch, when one can not expect to find a lot of top restaurants open in the Union Square area. It was convenient for visitors that were staying at a near-by hotel and we were able to sit and talk with no pressure; we certainly weren't keeping a table from potential customers. The menu wasn't particularly imaginative, but it was OK and everything did taste fresh and was properly prepared, if not in an inspired manner. The wait staff needs training, as in their leaning across the table to re-fill water as opposed to walking around the table, easily done here, and filling the glass. There were other similar, relatively minor, miscues.

My husband and I were looking for a good restaurant that we could walk to from our hotel near Union Square. I looked up suggestions from Open Table and selected MKT. It did not disappoint. I had delicious roast chicken, just what I was looking for and my husband had a fish special which was also delicious. The service and atmosphere were great and I definitely would go backc.

This is the second time our office has been to MKT for our group lunch! It's a place we ALL enjoy/love. We've always had our own room, which is really nice...as we could talk across the table, corner to corner and still hear each other...and not feel we're disturbing other tables around us. Food is superb!! Service staff is pleasant and efficient! We will definitely be back!!!

MKT used to be Seasons and the interior has been remodeled. I believe they extended the bar area. The staff largely remained the same as Seasons and maintaining same level of service which is a good thing. The dining area seems to be less formal such as no more tablecloth. The food quality seems to be consistent with before. My main interest has always been the steak and the pork chop. I am not sure if the steak is still dry-aged like it used to be. The ribeye that I ordered was done exactly medium rare. So far it seems to be hold her standard. One of my favorite restaurants.

Met a friend from NY at the bar prior to dinner. Took the bartender about 10 minutes to recognize and serve us because she was busy cleaning glassware. Dinner was good, not mind blowing, and again the waiter service was lacking. Slow to serve wine and refill water. But overall ambiance and meal was enjoyable. They just need to be a bit more attentive.

The food here was great, and close by to the Marriott where I was staying - but looking out the big windows at such an exciting city, I felt like I was missing out on something. San Fran has so much selection when it comes to food, that I wished I'd taken the time to find something a bit more unique. It's actually great for a hotel restaurant - but in the end, that's what it was.

To celebrate a friend's birthday, we ended up here on Father's Day and were thrilled to see two special selections on the menu: a bone-in rib-eye and a bone-in New York steak, both dry-aged. We ended up ordering those, and they were fantastic - perfectly cooked, with a peppercorn sauce that was flavorful and had just the right kick. Would definitely recommend again!

fantastic and consistent for an outstanding breakfast, thanks to the wonderful service of TWANIA or LUIS or YURI. a great way to start the day. always helpful and totally a positive san Francisco experience.. The NEW bar is really great, positive and wonderful energy.. Sadly the restaurant makeover is a TOTAL flop./ its noisy, dull, just plain and UGLY.. more like a cheap Midwestern chain DINER than what you would expect form a restaurant at the 4 season... wont ever go there again for LUNCH or DINNER. but certainly would be a GREAT way to start your day for BREAKFAST....the entire staff is really outstanding .

We go there for BREAKFAST, and the menu is quite wonderful , the lemon ricotta pancakes are outstanding, and i usually have the egg white fritatta ...The service is ALWAYS the best, friendly courteous and helpful. No where better in the city. Always a sea of smiles from the entire staff at that hour of the day. The dining area only tho, sadly looks like a second rate chain restaurant, and has absolutely NO personality, its cold, uninviting, stark and boring..a far cry from what you would expect from a four seasons hotel....

Everything was nicely presented, food was delicious, and I love the fact we had individual pitchers of coffee. Didn't have a problem with the old restaurant - this one is fine as well.

I've eaten at MKT in the past and I always enjoy the food. Unfortunately, the service is marginal at best. I actually ate there 3 times this week due to MKT's very convenient location and very good food ... twice for lunch and once for dinner. Each time the service was consistently slow although the restaurant wasn't overly busy ... and I mean, REALLY slow.

Used to go there all the time for lunch when it was " SEASONS", but the makeover for us is disastrous,, cold stark, very "fast food joint look". took out ALL the romance and elegance and replaced it with different shades of brown tones and black tones, and now looks like a fast food "joint" rather than what you would expect from the 4 seasons... We stopped going, for LUNCH , but we MISSED the fantastic service and wonderful food.. I discovered it again but this time , FOR BREAKFAST . a GREAT place to go for a really wonderful concoction of breakfast delights.. Served by their impeccable and friendly staff.. a spectacular way to start the day..... forget LUNCH, DO THE BREAKFAST FARE.. its wonderful.

My wife and I were celebrating her promotion and MKT was recommended to us by a colleague. They said it was a really nice place with great food. We couldn't agree more. Absolutely everyone who was on staff that night was amazing. Our waiter provided one of the best experiences we've ever had dining out. He was attentive, knowledgeable, very flexible with the menu, and in addition to the great food, a big reason why we will go back. The Cesar salad and french fry appetizers were really good. The steak and swordfish entrees were amazing, and the carrot cake and sorbet desserts were the perfect ending to a great dining experience. Highly recommended!
