MizunaAmazingMy husband and I went for date night. We both had the five course dinner. The food was amazing and the wine pairings were inspired!6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMMizuna ReviewAs far as French cuisine is concerned, I’ve only had better at Joel Robuchon in Las Vegas. My wife and I both had the Prix Fixe 5 course selection. I started with the foie gras which was fantastic. Second, was the roasted beet salad, followed by the scallops. My wife said her scallops were a touch on the salty side. Mine were perfect. Meat course was the duck l’orange and it was cooked to perfection. The desert on the prix fixe menu is already pre-selected. Overall this was an amazing meal. You do need to be prepared to spend close if not more than $200 for two people, but it was worth it. The only thing I’ll change the next time I go is to spend the extra $40 to get the sommelier’s wine parings with each course. Bon appetit!6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMLOVE IT!Have been going here for over 7 years and they NEVER disappoint! It's our favorite restaurant in Denver!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMNever disappointed...theseNever disappointed...these guys know what they're doing. Everyone in our group was delighted with their meals. Definitely will be back when in the Denver area.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThe staff did a great jobThe staff did a great job of dealing with food allergies.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMMizuna is still my favoriteWe often go to Mizuna for special occasions as we did the other night. It was wonderful. They change the menu seasonally so although there are always old standbys, we try new things as well. It was delicious! Our waiter, Steve, who we have had before is excellent! I highly recommend Mizuna.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMSpecial one year anniversaryWe had a memorable evening at Mizuna to celebrate our one year anniversary. We chose the 5 course tasting menu paired with wines and it was absolutely fabulous.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazingHad our anniversary dinner here and it was superb! 5 course prix fixe meal with wine pairing, and every bite of food and sip of wine was perfect.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMDenver's FinestOne of the best meals we've had in Denver! Service was unrushed, friendly, and knowledgable. A little pricy, but you get what you pay for. Top notch!5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellentI am still recovering from my experience - that is the best meal I have ever had. Just excellent!5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful! My wife and I went for her birthday, and it was our first visit to Mizuna. The food was fantastic, and the service was equally wonderful. They were out of decaf coffee, so they had an employee run to another restaurant down the street to get my wife a cup. It couldn't have taken more than 5 minutes, but because we even had to wait for a coffee at all, they comped one of our desserts and a glass of wine (and the coffee, of course). We didn't think it was a big deal that the coffee took a couple minutes, but they went above and beyond to make us happy (without any request or complaint from us). That kind of service is what earns customers, and we will certainly be visiting again.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely fabulousWe had the 5 item tasting menu and were WOW'd by every single item and wine pairing. The service is second to none - attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and professional.
We will be back soon - even if to simply sit at the bar and enjoy wine and share appetizers.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMRelaxing atmosphere - foodie foodA great central spot that you can dress up for, or not. Service was both excellent and friendly. The mac & cheese app. was to die for -- too bad I couldn't lick the plate.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the finest restaurantOne of the finest restaurant we've dined at ever. Everything about it was perfection.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother wonderful experienceWe moved from Denver a year ago and were coming back for the first time over the Memorial Day weekend. Our top choice for dinner was Mizuna and once again it was a wonderful experience. Every part of the experience is enjoyable and special. We have always enjoyed the Denver food scene which keeps getting better and better. Nonetheless, it is easy to see why Mizuna stays at the top of the list.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMwonderfulOur waiter, Steve, was fantastic and the food delicious. We had a tough time deciding on what to order with so many excellent choices. Our group decided on the incredible lobster mac and cheese appetizer as well as the rabbit; asparagras and vegetable salads and for entrees enjoyed duck, veal and snapper. Fabulous plum tart and key lime for dessert. Best key lime ever! All was exceptional.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMDelectableFrom the excellent service to the perfectly delicious food, Mizuna nails it. My only lament is not having tried this wonderful culinary experience sooner. Will definitely be back.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMSmall PortionsFood was amazing, but for the price - the portions are a little light.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways specialWe go to Mizuna's every anniversary because it is such a special place. So when our friends entered into a civil union and we wanted to celebrate, Mizuna was first in our minds. I called Mizuna to let them know how special an evening this was and arranged for payment and menus without prices printed. They agreed to do this and to add a special celebratory note in the heading. We wanted the evening to be really special and very brainless for our dear friends, to have a smooth, flawless evening - indeed, a memorable experience. The food was wonderful, as always. The service was wonderful, as always, and peppered with touches of specialness to mark the happy celebration. Mizuna is one of our favorites in Denver. Bravo Mizuna! And thank you!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMMizuna is the Kahuna of DenverBest restaurant in Denver

If you're ever in Denver, I'd definitely put it on your list of places to go.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful!Incredible food, paired with exceptional service and nice atmosphere, Frank Bonanno does it again! We had the five course tasting menu and every course was a delight. The lobster mac & cheese is a must have!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMPleased with MizunaMizuna was excellent. Just not as great as in the past. The sommelier was
Very helpful and the wine list very creative. Overall

My wife and I both really enjoyed it.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWe dine at Mizuna for everyWe dine at Mizuna for every special occasion we can think of. The food is excellent, wine and sommelier perfect and Steve our waiter our absolute favorite. We ask for him every time and he always makes our experience a real pleasure. We recommend Mizuna to our friends whenever we can. We can always expect a fabulous night out.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic place- great food,Fantastic place- great food, beautiful space , friendly and attentive service. Perfect for a special occasion4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat place to impress a clientI took a client to Mizuna and wow did it impress. The updates to the wine list are incredible. Lots of 2000 Bordeaux to pick from and the current Duck with blood orange is to die for. I will be back soon, very soon.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic foodOur second time and we. Will return again..staff can be a bit stuffy but the food is excellent. Great wine list as well. A must for Denver foodies!4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMA well fed dentists conventiomThe drinks, food, and service were excellent. Food was presented well and prepared perfectly. Flavors were good, but not surprising.
Oddly, after looking around at other patrons, the place felt like a convention for older dentists. Not young or hip or even very modern. Very staid and dry. Very quiet, except for the waiter loudly talking about his conceal carry permit and mocking the other staff. (It was the guy in the Elvis Costello glasses with the bowtie, let him know he's not THAT interesting).4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMunexpectedly surprised byunexpectedly surprised by excellent quality of this womderful. The price is worth it bewcause it wa exceptional4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was great! Alaskan halibutFood was great! Alaskan halibut was cooked perfectly. Duck breast was outstanding. Mac & Cheese was a special treat. The warm chocolate was wonderful. The waiter did forget to put in one of our orders but they did a nice job of trying to make it right.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBravo!Excellent restaurant, but pricey. My wife and I had the five course meal. The veal was one of the best dishes I ever have had. Her key lime pie was also as good as it gets. We chose the restaurant based on the 5280 list of best restaurants for 2010, which has never disappointed.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMdiscouage wine pairingWe have dined here a number of times. This time we tried the 5 course menu with wine pairing and were disappointed. Although the food was still wonderful, the wine wasn't to our liking. We prefer reds and our waiter said the sommelier would be over to discuss. He never came by before serving us. We ended up with two ports over the five courses and we don't like port. We suggest ordering a $100 bottle of wine versus $100 for very little wine (you get far less than 2+ glasses each) you may not care for.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFive Fabulous CoursesMy husband and I dined at Mizuna for his 33rd birthday. The restaurant was prepared with a special happy birthday note and a glass of cava for Nathan. Our waiter, Megan, was very helpful and her recommendations did not disappoint. The lobster mac n cheese was fantastic. I enjoyed the varied, but tight menu. Trying new things like rabbit was really fun. Other restaurants often have larger menus, but sacrifice the quality of the dish in order to provide more choices. I have noticed that, typically, the smaller the menu, the better the quality of the food. The portions of the 5-course experience were perfect. I also was impressed that Mizuna allowed us the full menu from which to choose for the 5 courses.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious good food not overdoneDelicious good food not overdone with all the trendy elements that so many other chefs insist upon. Thank you for allowing me to eat something that is not wrapped in bacon.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMA great night out! This was the most delicious dinner I have had in a long time. The service was great and the ambiance was delightful. It had a very classy feel without being stuffy and rude. The escargot was amazing! The pre fixe dinner was a fabulous deal and I did not leave hungry!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was absolutely amazing!Food was absolutely amazing! Certainly an upscale and slightly pricier restaurant, but totally worth it given the quality of the food. Portions were very reasonable, large enough to fill you up, but small enough that there weren't any leftovers to take home. We'll be back for many special occasions to come!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMA Gem!Excellent! We split the Artic Char appetizer. It was light and delicious. My veal tenderloin entree was special. The sides were perfect and the veal was tender, well flavored and prepared exactly to my liking. My spouse's Pan Seared Red Snapper was also beautifully done. We have dined at Luca d'Italia and Osteria Marco (and they were great). Mizuna is now my favorite after the experience there yesterday.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved this place. One ofLoved this place. One of the best restaurants we've been to - extremely pricey though!3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the best meals we haveOne of the best meals we have had in years. Expensive, but worth it.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThe only thing lacking wasThe only thing lacking was the sommelier. His 'journey' of wines was less than desirable. Next time I will pick my own wine.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMA+I took my cupid here for Valentine's Day. $125 per person. It better be good. And, it was. We've eaten here many many times. The food and service are always A+.2/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
