  • "Jordan the waitress was AWESOME ! She was so helpful, patient and kind to all of us...we had a variety of ages at our table with all different kinds of needs and she met all of them....was a wonderful dining experience."

  • "Fine food, a very nice wine list (we had a half bottle of Châteauneuf-du-Pape) and very pleasant service. Thanks!"

  • "Mizuna is perfect. The food wonderful, healthy, and a nice variety. The wait staff is outstanding-definately professional. The wine list was a nice balance of prices and selections without being overwhelming."

  • "I tool my daughter and her friend out for a special night to celebrate them being home from college spring break and it was a terrible outing. I have eaten there seveveral times in the past because my daughter is a vegetarian and liked their menue choice but we will never go back again. Had to ask multiple times just to get water refilled and their waters set empty for more than 10. The staff was clearly understaffed but we saw 3 tables about us come and go before we got our entre. An overall very disappointing experience."

  • "We took my in-laws here for my wife's birthday. My mother-in-law had the trout, my father-in-law had the steak, my wife had the seafood, and I had the duck. We started our meal with wine and drinks (except for my wife who is pregnant), and had the clams and mixed fried seafood for appetizers. I think the only plate that could have used a little help was the duck. The duck itself was very tasty, but overall the plate like seasoning and could have used a sauce to pull it all together. We did enjoy our meal and will be back."

  • "Mizuna's vegan and vegetarian choices are amazing! I took a friend with me who has often asked "So...what CAN you eat?". We started with Field Roast and Shiitake Mushroom Lettuce Wraps, which she loved. I had been craving them myself. I ordered Roasted Beet and Lentil Salad (available with or without chevre), and soup of the day which was a root-vegetable soup with cocoanut milk and divine seasoning. She ordered Thai Peanut Chicken Pita which comes with field greens salad (her choice) or soup of the day. She enjoyed her first introduction to Mizuna and declared that her husband would find something to eat too -- and he's a big meat-eater! Great food, great service!"

  • "Arrived to a less then warm greeting from the host. Didn't seem happy to see us. Not unhappy necessarily. Food was perfect, but a bit overpriced in our opinion (but the location commands a high lease payment). Server was cordial but inattentive. We waited at least 15 minutes to get our bill and had to leave the bar area to ask another server for a "doggie bag". We recommend the standard size chairs as the stool height were not very comfortable."

  • "Excellent in every way the sea bass was to die for and I didn't know a pork chop could taste so good."

  • "The best place for vegetarian eaters, most notably because it has meat/seafood! Veggie eaters and meat-lovers can both enjoy a fantastic and fine-crafted menu. This vegetarian favorite shouldn't scare off meat eaters. Everyone is happy, and the wine is great."

  • "Thank you, Mizuna, for making our Valentine's Day evening extraordinarily special!!! Several weeks ago, I made a reservation for two at Mizuna. When our party expanded from two to six, Michael (the manager) and his staff wonderfully accommodated our larger party, actually keeping the original time for our reservation instead of pushing us late into the evening. This is just remarkable customer service! How many places, on Valentine's Day, would accommodate such a request? Very, very few I imagine. The restaurant itself was cozy, quaint and beautifully lighted. Our food was simply outstanding; our service remarkable; our entire evening beautiful! Every member in our party commented on the extraordinary cuisine we experienced!"

  • "I took my girlfriend to Mizuna for our Valentine's Day dinner and it was perfect. The restaurant was beautiful and the food was great. They had so many wonderful things to choose from that the only difficult choice we had was narrowing it down to only one thing. We ended up getting the spinach arancini (amazing with the pine nut pesto), pan roasted chicken (decadent and full flavored) and the rainbow trout (the risotto was divine). I highly recommend Mizuna and we'll be going there again soon."

  • "Love Mizuna for their organic healthy approach to fine dining. Our dinners were good but not outstanding. One of us ordered the Duck because we love well prepared Duck and felt Mizuna would get it right. Disappointed with it, the skin was soggy instead of crisp and overall the dish was boring. We will go back again because everything else was very good. Their side dishes are outstanding!"

  • "I was unsure what to expect bc this was a choice by my partner. Overall loved the restaurant. Atmosphere was great, noise level fine, and service was good. The gnocchi I had was not the greatest, there seemed to be a lot of flour taste to it but the pesto sauce saved it. I loved the olive tapenade bruschetta!! It was amazing. I wish they had a better beer selection would be my suggestion."

  • "Cheese plate was excellent, but how can you mess up cutting up cheese! My Osso Bucco was tasty but dry, my daughters duck was tough and not very flavorful. Coming from NY metro area, where there are many fine restaurants, we have high hopes and expectations. This was different but not well executed, especially at the price. Staff was lovely, the chef tried with a varied menu, but the finished product did not measure up."

  • "We treated our granddaughter and friend, both vegetarians, to a delightful meal. We were somewhat worried that finding a good vegetarian menu in Spokane would be difficult -- Mizuna met our needs perfectly. The menu has lots of variation (our four choices were dramatically different), the room was warm and welcoming, server very helpful and attentive. We were more than please, and will return."

  • "Service was great, prices were high, risotto way over cooked. The flourless dark chocolate torte with carmelized ginger and blood red orange sauce was the best part of the whole meal....I won't be b back unless it's to pick up the dessert to go!"

  • "Mizuna is consistently outstanding: never a disappointment. The menu is diverse and suits all tastes. Go for it!"

  • "What would Spokane do without Mizuna? It's hard to find anything that compares to the type of cuisine offered at this local favorite. Love the vegan and vegetarian options, and for the most part it's a solid restaurant for a romantic meal or a group of friends. Service can be a little scattered depending on who you get, but the waitstaff is always friendly and accommodating. We've had incredible dishes here and it's always at the top of our list when trying to decide on a restaurant. Thanks for joining OpenTable!"

  • "Food was very good. Our table ordered the lentil cakes - amazing even the topping is wonderful, king salmon - was done perfectly and came out very hot, nice knowing it wasn't sitting under a warmer, and the duck. Thy have a great drink list and press ingredients fresh right there... Chocolate tort is a must! Aeron is an excellent waiter."

  • "MIZUNA is now my FAVORITE RESTAURANT OF ALL TIME! My boyfriend took me there for my birthday. Neither of us had ever been there before... It was the best birthday dinner ever! We had Grilled Ginger Tofu Spinach Salads that were FRESH and VIBRANT! The Bass was succulent, melt-in-your-mouth, perfect temperature and indescribably delicious. We're definitely going to make Mizuna a part of our healthy lifestyle!"

  • "This is great restaurant for that special occasion where cost is no object. Although we ate the meat main course, there was also a complete vegetarian menu offered as well. The server was very attentive to our needs."

  • "My first time (dinner 12/15/13), and disappointed with the food. Mushroom-Eggplant Meatballs bland and tasteless, though pesto pasta was fairly good. The Mediterranean Lentil Cakes a bit more tasty, but still quite bland. Both dishes could use more seasoning (a few grains of salt or pepper, or herbs, or spices...anything...) IF I were to give Mizuna another try, I would order from the regular menu (with meat dishes that might stand up on their own without seasonings). My advice to strict vegetarians...find another establishment."

  • "Great food! I really enjoyed the variety and vegetarian options. I am not a vegetarian but my boyfriend is and we were both able to easily find something we could enjoy."

  • "My go-to place. As a Vegan, there aren't too many places in the area that can actually cater something more than a salad. Mizuna is a great place with a creative menu for any kind of dietary need where you don't feel like you compromise on anything. Service is very friendly and informative and the environment is well balanced. Highly recommended!"

  • "My wife and I stopped in here for a late lunch while staying in Spokane. Service was attentive and the food quality was good. We had soups and a wonderful burger, which we split. It's a nice loft-like space and wasn't really noisy. We did not check out the wine list or beers. Overall, a good stop for lunch."

  • "Difficult to review this restaraunt as the two entrees we ordered I would rate differently. I ordered the Pumpkin Striped Marlin, which was out of this world, but I almost never ordered it because the waitress could barely give me any details about it. My guest ordered the Pork Chop, which was very good, but the fritters that came with it were quite unremarkable. Also, they serve the Pork Chop medium rare ( according to our waitress) which my guest sent back to cook a little more thoroughly. The service was also quite unremarkable. Our waitress seemed virtually annoyed at our presence, and quite unhelpful, especially considering my guest has food allergies. I would go back if I could be assured of better service."

  • "the service was bland, the food "good", the atmosphere brick and YUPPI, the noise level - near jet engine at takeoff. There is an Italian restaurant 4 blocks away that outshines Mizuna by a large margine in every catagory."

  • "The background noise from the kitchen was too loud for discussion at the table. We were dining with parents in who are in their 80's and they did not like the noise. The food was good. For dessert the parents ordered creams brûlée which is a burnt creme. What came was a creme plantain with a heavy chocolate topping. The dessert was good but not what the title suggested. I would suggest that they rename this dessert. The waitress said it was their version of creme brûlée and I got they impression that they had heard the comments before. We decided this would not be a restaurant we would try again."

  • "We enjoyed our food, but the drinks were sketchy. My predinner cocktail arrived in a 16oz pint glass with grapefruit substituted for lavender. Wine was delivered with a 2010 vintage instead of 2008. Both were rather flippantly dealt with by the staff. Imagine if we had been on an important date or business meeting. Thank god it was only out anniversary!"

  • "Overall the food was delicious. The service was very brisk even though we had asked not to be rushed. There were empty tables, so it wasn't that they had over booked. The main course was served before we had finished our salads. Our wait person was also making drinks. I would say the service is definitely lacking."

  • "I had never been here - went before the ballet - heard the lobster mac and cheese was great - it was but there were 2 tiny bites of lobster and 5 bites of the mac and cheese - wines are expensive - the whole meal was $150 for a quick pre-ballet meal - the tables are crammed together so you can hear what everyone else is saying - probably won't go back -"

  • "If I llived in Spokane I'd eat here every month! The menu reads so fabulously that you want one of everything....but as they say, the proof is in the puddin' and it was not as good as the.menu! I ordered the chicken with wild mushrooms and a marsala sauce over linguine. The breast was dry and flavorless, there were hardly any mushrooms or flavor of mushrooms, and the sauce was thin and liquid-y, more like a broth. The white cheddar and apple salad was so underdressed it had no flavor. Mgnolotti with braised pork and a kambocha cream sauce (sounds good doesn't it?)was 5 dry, crispy, moon shaped raviolis in which the ffilling was a bit of the pork laid upon a tiny bit of sauce also flavorless. All in all, very disappointing."

  • "We had a small problem getting seated (they blamed computer issues), but once seated everything was great. Don't ignore the vegetarian menu - it has some of the best items. Limited wine list has a couple of good local choices. Nice outdoor patio protected from sun and wind."
