Diner Reviews
  • "Overpriced, mediocre food, average service. Not what you expect for the super high price."

  • "My girl friend and I made reservations for a Sat night here and were not disappointed. We requested a table out by the waterfall and loved every min. I ordered the ribs, while my friend ordered beef tartar, the oysters and liver pate. We also ordered the Philadelphia and yellow tail classic rolls. First off the rolls were fantastic. With the setting and these alone I'd be back. Due to the wide variety of items we picked we also asked for the sommelier's suggest as to a wine. She suggested a Cote de Rhone which paired well with pretty much everything. The only thing I wouldn't have gotten again was the ribs. They were good but not great. I thought they could use more flavor."

  • "Steve Wynn should be really proud of Mizumi. The restaurant is gorgeous, the view is spectacular, the inside/outside feel of the location is enticing. The food is excellent and worth every penny, albeit expensive. The service is outstanding; everyone was incredibly attentive. The "red" color of the entire place is envigorating. Would go again and again."

  • "I felt the food was average to good , comparable to many good neighborhood Japanese.. It should be outstanding for the prices. Service pleasant but slow"

  • "Nice place with great views. Food was good but overly small portions for the price. Service was good. When we arrived we noticed they had Teppanyaki and we asked if we could have that but were told no because our reservation wasn't for that. Not sure how that works since the web site didn't give a choice."

  • "The food was egotistical but without reason. flavoring was pale. service was lackluster and appeared disinterested and disingenuous."

  • "Sushi rolls were original and fantastic. Hot plate items were somewhat disappointing. Kobi beef was cooked perfectly and very tender, but flavorless. Considering the price, expected more. Great views. Overall very good, just not great. Would still recommend, but stick with the sushi."

  • "Nice ambience, but food is disapointing with its poorly prepared huge chunks of fish. Service is also bad. Had to beg for the waiter to come. Waterfall view is nice though."

  • "To me,the mark of a good restaurant relies not only in the food and atmosphere, but also includes the quality of their staff. With this said, I've been fortunate to have had the chance to dine in some of the most exclusive establishments to dinners and dives.Regrettably to say Mizumi, is not among my favorites. The design is extremely pleasing to the eyes with views of the beautiful waterfall from virtually every table.Furthermore, being located in the Wynn makes it a delight go to destination. The food was good to very good, but that is where it ends. The wait staff was impersonal at best and getting their attention…well you need a flare gun to do this. What a shame the third component to a good dinning experience is missing from this place."

  • "This was the second time we went to Mizumi. The first was in 2009, when we had a great experience. This time seemed very overpriced for what we got. The food (sushi) was good, but no better than the average Japanese restaurant, and very expensive for the quality of the food. $15 just for green tea?!? We noticed that restaurants in Vegas in general were more expensive now than previous trips. However, even for fine dining, there is better value to be had."

  • "Me and my fiancé recently went to Mizumis as a romantic evening out to celebrate our upcoming wedding. My fience loves sushi so I picked Mizumis for him. I on the other hand hate sushi.....or so I thought. The atmosphere was vibrant with the scenic waterfall in the background. The service was amazing, our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The prices were on the high side but remember you get what you pay for. The fish tasted so fresh, not overpowering like the other sushi I had tried. The menu had plenty of other options available for none sushi fans. Definitely an amazing and memorable dinning experience. Note if you like drinks try there Mizumi Cloud it was awesome."

  • "The restaurant had a beautiful waterfall view. The food was good, I wouldn't say it's amazing, I have had better sushi on the strip. The service I would say is okay!"

  • "Where do I begin? The sashimi seemed liked it was days old. Not fresh, but firm and chewy. Wait staff appeared bored and inattentive. Had dessert and it was freezer burn to the max. I love the Wynn...but not here. It's a zero backed up by a nearly empty restaurant. Simply awful. No question."

  • "Took 15 minutes to be greeted after being seated. Another 30 minutes before our order was taken. Had 4 different waiters, none of which were to concerned with our table. Or water glasses remained empty. Mine was refilled once and they looked at the other glasses seeing that they were empty and walked off. My wife ordered hot food, and the other 2 ordered sushi. The hot food was brought out 15 minutes after being ordered. And the sushi was brought out 50 minutes after being ordered. All the while with nothing to drink. My wife who ordered hot food and ate alone while me and the other in our party watched. Than we ate our sushi and it tasted like it sat for 45 minutes. I have had better service and food at a fast food establishment. 2 hours!?"

Dinner was good, quiet so we could talk and enjoy our selfs. I would recommend this restaurant for your wife (romantic) or for mom (memorable)"
