The food is very good as well althought the celebrated chef Alain Ducasse's famous innovations have been. Much imitated and are a little tired.
The waiter acted very nervous and made us uncomfotable and the other staff were cold and not really welcoming
Not a great feeling when you are spending $35 for a typical entree.

Some tables are outside and provide a unique, open-air experience; most are inside, but provide a nice setting with outstanding full or partial views over the city and surrounding mountains. Atmosphere in the restaurant is lively to exuberant without threatening to become rambunctious; great for special occasions (we celebrated a milestone birthday with friends). Service was very good and attentive and the food and wine selection was good, although for absolute tip-top fare when views and a special setting isn't an issue, other dining options may exist. My bride and I liked the look of the menu and having been to Mix Bar before, I knew the view would be amazing! The staff were extremely friendly and courteous and our lead server, Bianca was great. We decided to go for the 'Thriller' taster menu and the foods was amazing, the shooters added a little bit of fun and the complimentary champagne was gratefully received. All in all, we had superb experience at Mix Restaurant and would whole heatedly recommend it to anyone. Sadly you went and overbooked this to a private event so we had to be placed inside which was a dissapointment on the night. You had tried to phone us but for some reason my phone would not connect to a network whilst we were out there so didn't work. however, we did have a superb meal and were attended to very well throughout. Every menu item is meticulously described by the waiter and portions are perfect. Each menu item I ordered was a tastebud delight and coupled with a suggested wine paring, the evening was perfect. The main dining area is quite large and has an open feeling with plenty of space between guests. The significant use of glass decor and hardwood flooring creates a bit more ambient noise, but elegance is never compromised. This is a one of a kind dining experience with a unique one of a kind menu.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat View and Great FoodWe arrived about 10 minutes late for our reservation and was told to wait about 10 minutes in the lounge area. We went to the lounge area and ended up ordering an appetize and drink. The waitress was very friendly. Then 10 minutes went by, 20 minutes, then 30 then almost an hour. Our waitress had gone to asked the hostess about our reservation and came back to tell us our table was ready. I think the hostess had forgotten about us. Once we were seated we had to wait for a while before our server was available. There was a lot of waiting and it seemed like the "larger groups" were catered to more. The place is loud with a lot of activity but the food was EXCELLENT and the view was AMAZING.. That made up for all the waiting. I’ve been to Las Vegas many times and have eaten at a lot of nice places and was shocked that I didn’t even know about this place. It is at the top of the The Hotel (yes – really) and has a commanding view of the strip and beyond. AWESOME, AWESOME & AWESOME. From tentative server to the very knowledgeable sommelier the experience was great. The presentation was perfect and the food even better. This is must visit spot. We had our wedding dinner here and still go every year on our anniversary. After dinner you can go to the bar that overlooks the strip and move on tot he dance floor. No need to drive all around town. Everything on the menu is so tasty. The service depending where you sit can be a little long but you after going for the ambience and the 4 course dinner. The view is awesome and the food was delicious. Matt, the sommelier, recommended a fantastic and reasonably priced Pinot Noir that paired perfect with dinner. The bison filet mignon was the best piece of steak I've ever eaten. It's expensive here but if your looking for a special night, this place is for you. The Lobster Curry was very tasty, not really spicy, great flavors, and portion size was very good. The Diver Scallops are just fantastic! The gourmet mushrooms and sauce were perfect. Some of the best flavor mixes I've had in years. Amazing view, great drinks and good service. Unfortunately, some construction was going on as we ate, so that was a bit bothersome.
