The salisbury steak was amazing, and the dessert of blackberry cobbler was a great ending. Our server was fantastic, and we had a wonderful time.

Stepping through the food court and stopping before the rest rooms shared with the food court, one is seated at table, booth or the bar where one can dine with a broad range of patrons - shoppers, neighborhood folks, pre-theatre goers and families. The food choices are limited by more than adequate - starters are pretty standard but well prepared as are the traditional entrees - a good whitefish presentation as well as most other standard fare - one really can't go wrong at this Lettuce Entertain You hidden gem - recommended for a drink or a good lunch or dinner. The baked french onion soup has a mix of nicely browned mozzarella, swiss, and asiago cheese is consistently very good with just the right amount of onions. The bowl of french onion soup can by itself constitute lunch, but I also enjoyed the very tasty chopped fresh kale that has roasted pumpkin seeds and cranberries, with the Mity Nice vinaigrette dressing. Everything is kept orderly and clean. Our nice server Matthew was appropriately and helpfully attentive, without smothering us with attention. There was a good menu of a variety of options. The service was very friendly and helpful. It was very busy and a little confusing getting to the actual restaurant since it is buried in Water Tower Place. There was a line to go through to even get to the host. The turkey dinner with yummy mashed potatoes, dressing and cranberry sauce is a mini Thanksgiving. Also, great tasting is the meatloaf with mashed potatoes. The free cheese popovers are very addictive - your server will bring more if you have no will power. A pleasant neighborhood place for lunch or dinner. We stopped eating at foodlife since we could not hear each other over the loud music.
At Mity Nice, my wife had the turkey dinner and I had the white fish: both were excellent as was our server Michael.

We split the delicious spinach salad. Both had the lentil soup (of the day); delicious and generous portions. Shared the meat lovers pizza. Wonderful thin crust and just the right mix of meats and cheese.
