Mitchell's Steakhouse at Polaris offers three different private dining options for our guests. Our Wine Room may accommodate private parties of up to 36 guests and our Cellar Room may accommodate up to 12 guests. Both rooms feature state-of-the-art projector systems, unobtrusively enclosed behind framed mirrors on the walls. Our third private dining room, The Prime Room, may accommodate up to 20 guests and features a cozy fireplace, in-wall LCD projector and television display.

  • "The staff made us feel very welcome. We were there for our anniversary, and they went above and beyond to make our experience great. Flowers I had sent were on the table waiting--not a hitch to the night. Food was excellent and the wait staff was attentive. We were one of maybe three small parties in the restaurant that night (reservation was for 8:45), but the service was just as good our previous visit when they were full. Steak was done perfectly and the sides were delicious."

  • "We've been to Mitchell's a few times over the years and have always enjoyed it. I made a note on the reservation I made with Opentable that we were celebrating our 10th anniversary and we were greeted by custom menus congratulating us and the reception and the server both congratulated us! The meal was fantastic as always and the server was attentive and friendly. When it came time for dessert the server told us they were on the house for our anniversary which was great! But then on the way out they gave us a envelope with a $25 gift certificate for our next visit! My wife and I were very impressed and had a perfect night! I can't recommend Mitchell's enough!"

The food was delicious and prepared perfectly. The only complaint is that their Chop Chop salad had a new dressing on it that we did not like (it tasted like horseradish)- we preferred the old one."

  • "The staff was pleasant and welcoming. One of our meals was not thoroughly cooked. The server forgot we ordered a side, we had to remind him and it came out late about when we sent the fish back. The manager was very professional and apologized. Unfortunately, due to this we were not able to actually eat our meals “together.” The ribeye was cooked perfect- absolutely delicious! Lastly we had a gift card for Cameron Mitchell’s but were informed when we were paying our tab that we could not use it. That was a huge disappointment. It was explained that other locations were still accepting the card, but not that location. This was our first time dining at Mitchell’s steakhouse but would recommend it as serving high-quality delicious fare."

  • "We arrived a fw minutes before our reservation time and told they were running behind and we would have to wait an additional 30 minutes to be seated. The hostesses were disorganized and arguing. We were finally seated and our waiter was more interested in the table next to us with former co-workers from another establishment. We waited over 20 minutes for our drink order to be taken. We were rady to leave when our server srrived. We ordered food and drink again in case we never saw our waiter again. The food was wonderful. It was hot and fresh and the steaks were perfectly cooked and juicy. We have been to other Mitchells locations and were disappointed that the service was not what we expected."

  • "When paying $50/person or more for dinner out, the expectation is that the service is remarkable and that the experience is consistent. Our server was good, but no better than at your average place. The ladies room was lacking in the details- dingy plastic trash cans in the stalls, generic lotion on the counter, full wastebasket by the door, and no toilet tissue in the stall. Although the dining room was nice, and the atmosphere comfortable, the experience was inconsistent."

  • "Reserved a table for two at 7:45, was not seated until close to 8:45... Froze while waiting and at dinner (wore my coat thru dinner). Did not get our food until 9:30. Had the food not come when it did we were ready to pay for our salads and leave. Not to mention the other four tables in the small room we were in received appetizers on the house , we were the only table that did not ... Servers in view of our room throwing things across bar... Oh & witnessed a couple that arrived after us w/a reservation time after ours complained to a manager and were seated before us. Horrible experience and service, so disappointed & we were celebrating our 5 yr wedding anniversary! If zero stars was an option that's what we would've given."

  • "I have dined at Mitchell's (downtown location) several times. This was the first time at Polaris. Although, I totally understand it was Valentine's Day and things were probably not business as usual.....I was not impressed with the overall experience. Our reservation was for 8:30pm and I believe we were sitted a little before 9pm, again due to Valentine's Day this was understandable. My husband and I both ordered the prime rib but different sides. The meal was good but could hardly be considered one of the best I ever had. As a result, we will not be in any hurry to return and/or it's very unlikely that we will make any recommendation to our friends:("

  • "My husband and I went here for our anniversary. The ambiance was nice but we decided we wouldn't go again for the price. I had sauteed mushrooms as an appetizer (good!) and we split a wedge salad that was ok. My husband had filet with 2 lobster tails, just ok, and his filet was not cooked quite to his liking (He asked for medium but even at medium-rare it didn't melt in your mouth like we were expecting). I had the salmon and we split mashed potatoes (neither were that great) and lobster mac n cheese (good!). We split creme brulee for dessert that I think could have used more egg yolk and vanilla bean. I would say the only two things worth the price were the lobster mac n cheese and mushrooms. We were sad to not like it more!"

  • "It was a nice atmosphere, romantic, and my wife even got a rose!! The staff were nice. I was not impressed with the steak. I got the 16 ounce rib-eye steak. It was under cooked for medium and had too much gristle. I could not eat 15% of the steak due to gristle. I would give them another chance, but I think they are over-rated"

  • "I love this place!!! The one downtown has special meaning, it's where my husband proposed to me. But we like going to the one at Polaris (it's closer to our home). The food is out of this world delicious!!! Best mashed potatoes ever and the crab cakes are so so good. The wait staff is very professional and nice.   • "We checked in for our 8:30 reservation & they said they were a little behind- turns out they were at least 30 min behind for everyone and an hour late for a party of 4 that sat quietly waiting. When i pressed to know how late they did tell me about 30 minutes. after 20 minutes I checked on the status as there didn't seem to be a lot of movement or reason to the seating & the girl told me no more than 10 min and that there were 2 tables they were cleaning as if we were going to get one of them. I checked back in 13 minutes & she apologized and said she really did have a table for us but the manager gave it to someone else. We finally got our steaks & they were all 3 overcooked but we weren't up for sending them back and waiting more."
