  • "We were two of approximately twenty people in your restaurant at 7pm. The service was great a long with the wine list and lobster appetizer. The sad part of the evening was that I ordered the 16oz ribeye med rare and it arrived med-med well. Really? On an slow night at a place that specializes in steaks and charges $49! The server handled everything well along with a manager that gave an "adequate" apology. I chose not to have the steak replaced as my friend was already half done with her filet so I dined on my Mac chz Two things I would suggest by my experience. Train your servers to check back on the temperature of the steak presented in a timely fashion and teach the grill cook how to touch a steak to tell if it is cooked correctly."

  • "I had searched for several steakhouses before our visit to downtown Columbus. We were happy with this selection. Nice place. Not over the top, but still a quality experience. This is a business casual restaurant, but unfortunately like most restaurants these days they did not enforce those standards. We saw a couple nicely dressed, but in designer jeans. Designer or not, this is not appropriate for a business casual restaurant. In their defense, it was not clearly advertised on the website or on Open Table. The server was friendly, again, not over the top. The steaks, ordered as medium, were on the medium rare side, but that again seems to be expected these days. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant."

Although her steak was more medium well than medium rare and the martini not so dirty, the food and drink as they were prepared were splendid. We will be back soon to try other main courses, but I won't, and not a soul should, leave without the lobster appetizer. My choice for the best starter in town."

Our meal was outstanding as well as the service. I would this recommend this restaurant to anyone thinking about a delicious meal in a perfect atmosphere.   • "Great dinner here, but the server was more preoccupied with other things then his tables. Forgot our bread, barely checked on us and placed an order that we didn't even want. The dessert for my wife turn out great but my was over cooked(no lava just cake.) For the price of the food the service should've been better. While sitting there eating I did observer many of the other servers doing a wonderful jobs. This may be an overlook but not a great first impression."

  • "My wife and I had a gift card for Cameron Mitchell's although this restaurant would not accept it. They said they were bought out and this type of thing happens all the time for the past six years! I suggest they change the name so this confusion does not happen again. I had expected $100 to be credited to my bill, and to my surpise we received a "sorry we aren't owned by Cameron anymore." The food was fair, definately not a melt in your mouth steak for $50.00. I would save your money and visit Hyde Park in Downtown Columbus, Ohio for a romantic and quiet night out instead of Mitchell's."

  • "I went last Friday with my 2 teenagers- fairly early - 6:30pm. It took some time for our waiter to come, then we ordered, which took a while to get the food. They brought my food out first without the the other 2 meals. I finally asked if they were going to bring out the kids meal and they forgot. That is fine, mistakes happen. I purchased the course meal, I did not like the desert, so I told the to change it and I would pay any differences, when I got the bill, they charged me the full amount for the other desert. For the price it is not worth it.... Really down hill since it was sold."

  • "We were seated right away. Our waiter greeted us promptly, was knowledgeable about the menu and accommodating about substitutions. Unfortunately, the food, for a high end steakhouse, was just above average. I am a chef. My steak went back twice for being improperly cooked. The side items were good but not great. The corn, described as "fresh off the cob", arrived shriveled and had a "previously frozen" texture. It should have been plump, juicy and "popped" when bitten. The service was impeccable, the staff was fabulous and the manager was THE BEST, however it is hard to be satisfied with "pretty good" food for that price. It may be coincidental, but the restaurant was recently acquired by "Ruth's Chris". Or, maybe they just had a bad night."

  • "We went to Mitchell's for our anniversary. We had been here previously and the experience and food was fantastic. Our 2nd visit was just as good. I had mentioned during my reservation that we were dining there for our anniversary and they had decorated our table with some heart confetti and wished us a happy anniversary. The steaks there are outstanding...you really can't go wrong with any choice. We had soup and salad for starters, cocktails with dinner, and the bread pudding for dessert. Everything was amazing. The decor is beautiful and its a nice quiet, relaxing, friendly atmosphere. I've been to a lot of other upscale steakhouse's, but this is my hands down favorite."

  • "celebrated a late valentine's day dinner here and it was amazing! the service was great from the second we walked through the door, our server was very polite and knowledgeable of the menu and was always around to check on us. As for the food, we had filets which were cooked to perfection, the sides serve 2 to 3 which is great for sharing or taking home for later. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves a good steak and a peaceful dinner"

It's hard to buy a bottle of wine for fifty dollars when you know you can get the exact same bottle at year at Giant Eagle for twenty dollars. I do appreciate that the staff knew it was a special dinner and put hearts on our table and took a picture of us, and I loved the atmosphere. However, for the price, which I knew would be expensive and was willing to pay for, I expected incredible food, and overall the food was ok. I wouldn't recommend Mitchell's or go again because there are at least three fine dining restaurants close to my somewhat rural home that ate far better and more affordable. Overall, I disappointed in Mitchell's."
