Instead we came to Ocean Club.
I had been there years ago and Mom never had. I recalled there was something special about the calamari, so we started with that. Mom never liked it before (only tried it once) because it was rubbery. NOT here! We both fell in love with the fresh, super tender, melt in your mouth dish. Mom got the crabcakes (2) which were HUGE and didn't really stay together, but that was fine, because these are REAL crab cakes and shouldn't have a bunch of filler. So much crabmeat!
I had the scallops on risotto which was incredible- I ate every bite.

It's the ideal pick if you are split on protein source....they do great job on both seafood and meat. This visit on Mother's Day did not disappoint. The tuna tartar appetizer was amazing and their seared scallops with parmesan risotto was excellent as well. My lemon drop martini was delicious, but sadly missing their usual dry ice for a special presentation. Apparently they were so busy that day that they ran out of dry ice before we arrived. My husband had a Caesar salad and blackened fish which were both delicious. He especially enjoyed the Eye of The Tiger IPA. Anything we ever order at Ocean Club is PERFECT. She is a busy mom and I am a busy grandma. We wanted some time to our selves at our favorite restaurant, Mitchell's Ocean Club. The service perfect, as always. The food was delicious and the Baked Alaska so yummy. Alex, our waiter was remarkable. We also enjoyed the live piano and song. For my College Graduation, I selected to bring my family and friends there and it was a perfect ending to my day! Our server was so nice and on point with every detail. The food was perfect-nobody had any complaints! I had the shrimp cocktail (it 'smoked' when it arrived because it had dry ice under it-very attractive!), scallops, and the baked alaska to eat and a pear/grapefruit cocktail. We sat on the patio, which gave a beautiful view. They were willing to do anything to make my day special! It was a very busy place. Once seated out waiter suggested several cocktails and told us of the specials. They were sold out of one sea food dish. Drinks and food came in a timely way. The food was excellent. Every dish was outstanding! They have so many great 'small touches' that separate them from 'the other guys'. The wine list is extensive; if you dine on Sunday, it's 1/2 price bottles of wine under $100. For large parties, this is a nice savings. On this visit, our party of 7 was quite pleased with the service but the meals were just slightly less impressive. One bone-in ribeye was overcooked. Two of the salads were visibly over-dressed. The crab legs were a bit stringy & dry. On the flip side, the calamari was outstanding, as was the pork porterhouse & the lobster tails. It was obvious the potato shell was prepared ahead of time and very dark on the inside. The kitchen had mashed potatoes and covered with cheese and put in the shell. The shell was very dry.
Bread was excellent.
