Prior to that we tried to shop around in the internet .we were looking for a place that can give our close knit family the ambience, the comfort of being together and also celebrate a nice, quiet dinner . The Mitchel's Ocean Club Restaurant was a very good selection. We were here for the first time and the hostess was very courteous,well versed in her profession and was respectful to our needs. We had a good selection of the main course,soft drinks and salad as well the soup. We would however, like you to increase the number of your sea food items . I have been to other restaurants in USA and in Europe where the choices were much more. Anyway I know you can improve the menu.."

  • "We made our first visit recently to celebrate my wife's birthday. Four of us were in the party. All of us were favorably impressed, even my daughter from Boston who thought that going to a seafood restaurant in Columbus was a strange idea. Among our special favorites were the tator tots and the Baked Alaska, not to mention the chocolate and peanut butter pie. Each of us had a different entree and each of us was completely happy with it. The server was most genial and the atmosphere on a busy early Monday night was lively but acceptable. Of course the cost is a factor weighed in our decision as to when to return."

  • "This is a restaurant that I would recommend to anyone wanting great seafood. I have visited this establishment many times in the past, however this visit I was let down by my steak as well as my guests. To be more specific I ordered the Kansas City strip and my guest order the filet. My guest's steak came out quite over done, and my steak came out very very tough. I was asked if they could remake the steak but I declined the offer because of our long wait time for our food. We have in previous visits had a very wonderful experience but as stated this time was a bit of a let down. Sincerely, K"

  • "I took two visiting family members here for dinner on a Thursday and I was very impressed. I ordered the Caesar salad to start, which, honestly, may have been one of the best I've ever had. For my entree I had the scallops and Parmesan risotto. The scallops were cooked perfectly, and the risotto was delicious. For dessert I had the key lime tart, which was beautiful and very good. Our server Clint was very attentive and familiar with everything we asked about. I was very pleased with the service, the ambiance and the food. I will definitely be coming back."

From the moment we walked in until we left the experience was exceptional. Our server, Seth, was knowledgeable, professional and fun. The porch, food, wine and overall ambience was just fantastic. As for noise level, I think our table was the loudest... so don't hold that against the club. Can't quit thinking about it the experience."

  • "Started out with possibly the largest Bluepoint oysters I have ever seen, were just delicious. Everyone shared their entree because they were so good. The butterflied Filet mignon was perfectly cooked, the scallops melted like butter in your mouth, and very clean not gritty, and the halibut was tender. Amazing food all around. Side dishes were fairly good. Twice baked potato was great, the only mediocre item at our table the entire evening was the asparagus spears. They shave off the skin, which is what a lot of fancy restaurants do, and they tasted okay, just not the best I have ever had. We sure picked a great night, not at all on purpose, because every bottle of wine under $100 was half off."

When they left you sat another table of kids. The meal with tip was $238.00 (2 of us). We will do it again. I compare you to Hyde Park. Hyde Park has a much better, quieter dining time. The food is equal. We eat a lot at Hyde Park. If we have to choose I'd choose Hyde Park, but will visit you again."
