From the first visit to the most recent, they are about as consistent as can be and that consistency is very good food, very good service, and very good overall experience. Their sourdough bread is the best I have ever tasted. Fish is fresh and the plethora of preparations can satisfy anyone's palate. I particularly like the cedar plank prep. Desserts -- OMG -- to die for. Their Carrot cake and Sharkfin pies are scrumptious and enough to feed an entire table of four. And the key lime pie --tart and creamy -- just like it should be. Mitchells is NOT inexpensive. Prices on seafood are a little high. The food was delicious. I enjoyed the Alaskan King Crab legs, and my date enjoyed the surf and turg. We started with oysters and crab/artichoke dip. All was cooked to perfection. The only downside to our evening there was the service. Our waiter was MIA at the beginning, so it took awhile to get our drink orders in. When he brought the drinks, he asked if we were ready to order. We said we needed another minute or two....he disappeared for about 10 or 12 minutes. Literally no where to be seen, so we couldn't even flag him down. He didnt check on how our food was either once we got it. When we first were seated, we ended up next to a table with a kid screaming but our waitress quickly helped us to change to more quiet table which was great. Service was excellent, we got some good recommendations around the food from our waitress. We had a couple of starters (Claim Casino and the Shrimp wrapped in bacon with BBQ sauce) which were excellent. Our main courses were very good, I had the surf & turf. I asked to have a side of Bearnaise sauce but they didn't have tarragon so had to go with Hollandaise sauce. My wife had the seafood platter which was excellent, especially the sea bass.
