The food and service were among the best we ever had. Atmosphere and noise level was great, no need to shout over music or bar patrons. If you didn.t see the bar on the way in you would never know it was directly beside you.

Went with the family on a night we thought wouldn't be crowded. Turns out it was very crowded and the service was very slow. Coffee was cold as was the food. Fish was prepared incorrectly. Dessert was very good. Server was very friendly. Seems like the kitchen couldn't keep the pace or the quality. Have eaten at this establishment when it isn't crowded and it was much better

Love this place. It is my favorite place to eat. The food is always perfect, the service is A+. The biggest excuse people give me for not wanting to try it is the price. While there are some higher priced items (And you do get what you pay for ... perfection) There are many items on the menu that run about the same as getting a steak at any chain place. Samuel Adams Beer Battered dinner is one. Just a great dining experience always.

This was a casual dinner outing with several friends. We enjoyed cocktails and various starters and entrees. The hot sourdough bread is great. I had tasty gumbo and took advantage of a special on twin lobster tails. Good choice. Dessert options are tempting, including the enormous and tasty-looking sharkfin pie.

Your presentation of the sea bass with soy and spinach is the best I have ever tasted. I travel all over and seafood is my food of choice. Whenever I am close to a Mitchell's Fish Market I make it a point to take my business partners and or clients to a Mitchell's. This time my business was in Washington, PA but still came for lunch. Great Ahi Tuna for an appiterizer also.

For dinner, I strongly recommend making reservations. We were seated promptly, and had a friendly (but not hovering) server who gave us time to chat before returning to take our orders. The food was very good; we both had the Twin Lobster tails. While I do not drink wine much anymore, their list should satisfy most folks palate. I've also had lunch there where the server was very knowledgeable on various sea food questions we had.

I had The twin Lobster tails and a shrimp cocktail appetizer and a salad. The shrimp cocktail only had 4 shrimp, although large - they were way over priced. The lobster tails were small and a bit over done. The waitress was very attentive, but the person that brought out the children's meals did not have everything correct. The waitress promptly corrected the problem. Overall everyone was satisfied with their meals except for pricey appetizer and doneness and size of the lobster tails.

Overall the food was very good. For our liking, the vegetables had too much garlic, the Ceasar dressing wasn't creamy, and our request for "no butter" on one side of veggies was ignored. My husband loved his soup and fish n chips! Steak and fish were perfectly cooked to order.

We go to Mitchell's often, but I think this was the first time we weren't impressed with the food... and I don't think it was a coincidence that it was the first time one of us ordered beef. My husband got one of the specials that had lobster and beef tenderloin skewers. The beef was so chewy - he said, "like gum." I tried to take a bite & could barely do so. Besides that, his lobster was good and my tilapia dish was fine. It just wasn't our best meal at Mitchell's and it was the first time we left a little disappointed. Service was good, and if you get dessert & like peanut butter & ice cream, definitely get the sharkfin pie! It was delicious!

Mitchell's Fish Market has consistently good food, libations, and service. I always prefer seating at or in the bar - the bartending staff provides unparalleled service, and they are very congenial and fun to talk with. If you want a quieter or more private setting, there are several "in the wall" booths which is where I dined on this particular occasion - I ordered the new cedar plank treatment for one of the fresh seafood items (with sea scallops). This dish has been available since they opened with Atlantic salmon, which is also delicious, but now they officially offer it with other types of fish and shellfish. Most delicious! My dining partner ordered the ShangHai Seafood sampler, which was also very good.

We like to eat healthy foods like salmon and other seafood, but so often items that we order elsewhere are not prepared skillfully. Some places that do emphasize healthy food have no great options for people who still "aren't with the program". Mitchell's prepares everything well and offers a wide selection. My 80-yr-old mother can stuff herself with fresh bread and butter and gorpful desserts, and my husband and I can eat steamed veggies and simply amazing steamed salmon. As a result, this place is a weekly tradition in the family, and it is the favorite spot for Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc too.

Wife and I arrived early. Table for 8 was ready. Waitress came over and began, what was to be, very excellent service. Ordered drinks and waited for other 6 party members to join us. The dinner menu had something for everyone. Difficulty was making a choice. Restaurant was very busy and the food took a little longer to arrived than hoped for but our waitress brought out the dinner for the 4 YO as fast a possible and the 4 YO was quite happy. (They have a very good children's menu) Waitress came frequently and made sure everything we needed was taken care of. Everyone loved their dinner choices. After a wonderful dinner, drinks and family get together we left all feeling that this has been a wonderful dining experience.
