Mitchell's Fish Market - SandestinNice Place for DiningAnother annual guy trip with the fellas(grown men). I had done some previous research and found the reviews and such to be in Mitchell's favor. I booked on my smart phone(nice) and arrived @ 7:00 and we waited about 15 mins for our table. Which was fine since there are some surrounding shops. I had a Mojito in the bar while we waited.
Server was very knowledgeable and offered suggestions and alternatives(very nice). The drawback was that our party of 8 was seated in the back room which has none of the energy or ambiance of the main dining area, which is something I like to experience when I go to a restaurant. It was very quiet and sometimes we felt as if our servers had forgotten us back there. When we arrived there were several empty tables in the main area that could have been combined to accommodate our group - which had been done on a previous visit. I think the back space should be reserved for overflow once the main area is fully seated. But the fish here is something to really die for. The Sea Bass Shang-Hai style is wonderful, and my wife had twin lobster tails that were deliciious. The Titanic Wedge of lettuce has been pared down since the last time to about the size of a small frigate, but it's still tasty. It definitely doesn't fit the label "Titanic" anymore (because the only thing you'll be sinking is your teeth into the food). The atmosphere was relaxed. The staff service was excellent. Our waiter was extremely attentive yet not intrusive. We ordered the seafood sampler and the Chilean Sea Bass, both prepared Shang Hai style. Both dishes were tasty - the seafood was fresh and the preparation was wonderful. My son enjoyed his children's meal as well.
