The ambience was not what I'd call romantic in fact I'm not sure how to characterize the ambience. This was not an issue, though, as the food and service were both so good. A bit pricy so it'll remain a "special occasion" restaurant for us."

  • "I've been a fan and customer of Mitchell's for at least 8 years. Never had a bad meal there. Service is always great. Prices are never outrageous. But as of late I've come to feel the place is slipping. Why? Many little things. Let's start with the menu. The menu was once eclectic and unique. It's never evolved. In fact, it's devolved into stealing dish ideas from places Bonefish Grille, ala the shrimp appetizer. While they've added two or three new signature preparations, they aren't all that unique. Their starters, in general, offer nothing unique or fancy. Just what you'd expect at Red Lobster. I can recite the stuff in my sleep. At the same time portions sizes have plummeted and plating has gotten haphazard. To be continued"

I have never ordered fish as an entrée at a restaurant but ordered the Sea Bass cedar planked and it was delicious. Would have liked a bit bigger table felt a little cramped at the 2 seat table. Our server Rick did a great job."

Service was friendly and accommodating to special requests. This is a medium high level operation, suitable for all kinds of engagements from family to adult friends. It hits the mark for a reliable restaurant with great food. Early Saturday evening was a little noisy for comfortable conversation. I'd go back tomorrow for another meal."

  • "This was a birthday dinner. We all ordered the steak and lobster special. The steak was not great. It was supposed to be beef tenderloin but I have had much better tenderloin in other restaurants. The lobster tail was the smallest I have ever seen. Hardly any lobster meat at all. It looked like one lobster tail cut in half. Also not great. The service was great but otherwise a very disappointing meal."

The restaurant was busy, but things were delivered in a reasonable amount of time. We all had something from the major fish menu and were pleased. The best thing of the evening was the Sharkfin Ice cream Pie... It was like a giant drumstick type ice cream cone. One of our party had to be restrained from diving in. Cost.. approx $288.00 for the party"

Since the restaurant was almost empty place two groups beside of each other seems a bad idea. You do dot have a option in #2 of not recommending the restaurant."

  • "I had salmon and my wife had lobster. The meals were very tastey, except my wife said the lobster was salty. I mentioned to her that it was from salt water. Portions were SMALL. She had several tails, small tails. We, both, were still hungry but enjoyed the food. This place is too expensive to go away hungry."

Only one I could see was working in the raw bar area. There were, however, many minority patrons present. Hopefully you are an equal-opportunity-employer.   • "Mitchell's seafood is good but the prices are a bit high. Planked salmon came with 3 spears of asparagus and a few slices of peppers and squash. No salad or soup...price was around $27.00. Wine list was okay. Service was a bit rushed. Literally, as I was lowering myself into the chair the waitress asked what I wanted to drink. She was pleasant but seemed to want to turn over the table in a hurry. We found the noise level unacceptable. Hard to hear the conversation at our own table. We might go back but there are better seafood spots."
