  • "Oysters were the best part. Decent size and pretty fresh. The crab cake was full of grease. If you are going to fry something make sure your grease is at the right temperature before you start cooking. For dinner we were craving fish and chips so we went with the Fisherman's Patter. I haven't had fish and chips since I lived in NC, and I swore never to have seafood in a landlocked state- I should have kept my promise to myself. The fish was full of grease, the scallops were raw but once again full of grease, and the french fries were just horrible. The fries had to be an 30 minutes to an hour old. The fish and scallops would have been fantastic if, one again, the grease would had been at the correct temperature before cooking."

  • "We have previously eaten at this restaurant and have been very happy, but our experience on August 16, 2014 was poor. The service was poor. Our salads were delivered and our appetizer never came. Then we waited for our dinners for at least 45 minutes following the salad course. The quality of the food was poor too. My salmon was burned, my husband's salmon had a soggy crust, and my parents dinners were equally disappointing. We will not be returning and I will definitely suggest alternative restaurants to friends."

  • "My wife wanted Chilean Sea Bass for dinner on her birthday, so Mitchell's was a natural choice.Our waitress was Brandi, very personable and pleasant. We both wanted Chilean Sea Bass, I selected Blackened and my wife chose a Plank for hers. The calamari and wedge salad were fine, and the timing between the courses was good. The entrees came out and both looked good, but hers was not fully cooked, as the inside was still jelly-like and did not flake. Brandi quickly took my wife's fish back to the grille. The fish was returned and seemed OK. I was concerned that the Management did not offer anything for the inconvenience, ie, $5 off, free dessert, etc. This is why only 3 stars. We will give Mitchell's another chance soon."

  • "We went for their Lobster tail promotion. Two lobster tails, potato, asparagus, very tasty. Server was attentive, but checked on us too soon after we got our food and never checked back. My wife wanted her potatoes a little warmer and we couldn't get this addressed in the time we had. Restaurant is part of the Ruth Chris Steakhouse chain. Overall, We were not disappointed and plan to go again."

Mitchell's knows how to cook fish. They are the best fish place on the east side. If something is not right, they fix it immediately. First class restaurant with reasonable prices. Love it! I ordered the Chilean sea bass which was on another level. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys seafood and families who want to go out for a resonance price for the quality."

  • "Ordered one of their specials, lobster and shrimp stuffed cod. When entree arrived the cod was topped with a yellow-reddish purée that sort of had the consistency of a stuffing mix but could not find anything that resembled lobster or shrimp in the mix. Pointed out to server who seemed surprised but when manager came over he said that this is how the meal is usually served. So even though Lobster and Shrimp are the first two ingredients mentioned for the dish, don't let that fool you."

  • "I had an early business lunch at Mitchell's with an important client. We were there shortly after they opened at 11:30 am on a Weds., so there were few patrons besides us. The ambiance is nice, and the dining room is well appointed. My biggest disappointment was the service. Despite there being only half a dozen tables occupied, our server disappeared after serving us water, and I had to flag someone down after about 15 minutes just to place an order. Same thing when it was time to pay. Inexcusable for a place of that stature. That said, my meal of salmon, scallops and shrimp over rice was outstanding -- and not a bad value at less than $15. With a little more attention from the server, Mitchell's would have earned a higher rating from me."

  • "We were a little disappointed. Have dined there many times before and service was good. On this visit I requested a booth when I made the online reservation, but we were seated at a table instead. We were seated for almost 10 minutes before our server appeared. We ordered a bottle of wine which came promptly. Our salads followed about 10 minutes later and we waited another 5 minutes for the bread. While we were still eating our salads our entrees were brought to the table. Poor timing! However the food was very good. The server did apologize for the initial wait, but the whole evening did not flow as it should have in a restaurant of this caliber."

  • "This was our second time trying this location. It seems to be the hot spot for senior citizens and just an electric bunch of the rudest of patrons (which I realize the restaurant cannot help). We made reservations but showed up early just because we didn't know how crazy the parking lot would be. One of the hostess actually scolded me for "showing up early on a Saturday night". I wasn't expecting to be seated when I walked in, I was fine with waiting until my reserved time. Our waitress was great until she disappeared halfway through our night. Food was great. we want to love it but so far two out of two times it's just not been for us."

  • "Our server was terrible she took at least 15 minutes to acknowledge we were there. It took another 15 minutes for her to return and take our order. The food was great. We were celebrating my fathers 68th birthday it was his first time there. I felt bad because the service was bad. When we needed something we had to ask another server walking by our table. When the food came out, the orders were given to the wrong person. We had to ask another server to put in our desert order. That is how bad she was."

  • "Best and freshest seafood in town. The lobster tail was cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed the lump crab spinach dip. The sourdough bread is served hot and is addictive. Always good service and nice ambiance. One of my favorite places to dine."
