We really enjoyed it, the food was great, we didn't wait long to be served and was just an all around great experience. We were seated at a booth next to the window and it was the best seat in the restaurant I think. My mom love seafood and I think I made a great choice because she really enjoyed herself. The fish melted in my mouth and the scallops and shrimp that came with it were excellent. Our waitress (Carla) was friendly and willing to make recommendations. The Parmesan Chicken came in a large portion that looked and tasted very good indeed. Our waiter, Jarrid, made our stop a real pleasure, meeting our every need. All the staff here is top notch, but he is a special gem.
Dessert was Carrot Cake and the portion was huge, moist and absolutely delicious. No one at our table had meat, but what's on the menu looks good. Our waitress was very considerate of us, maybe even a bit too much. As we chatted away, she avoided interrupting us, even to take our order. She was funny, laughing with us when we asked about the difference between the "Mountain Trout" and "Rainbow Trout"; it's the same fish. The carrot cake is HUGE. One couple ordered a piece to split, and each half (served on separate plates) was way bigger than either one wanted to eat after an ample meal. The key lime pie was perfectly sized, and both were delicious. We've not had a complaint with the menu and have received excellent service during each visit. Mitchell's is a seafood house but also does very well on the balance of their menu. I also liked having the Easter Sunday option of prix-fixe three-course meal. True, the entree was ham, which is too salty for me in principle, but the sides of smashed redskin potatoes and green beans were perfect, the house salad was generous and interesting, and I was delighted to have creme brulee as dessert. Portion sizes were just right: not too much, but no one could call them skimpy. First off, the prices were better than the Columbus location. I felt like the fish/crab were fresher, better prepared, and served with more appeal. The service was very professional, and it was a great start to a Easter weekend with my family. I won't hesitate to return. For this visit, my wife and I were entertaining a new employee, his wife, and 3 month old son who were here on a house hunting trip. My guest commented that I was 2 for 2 in picking great restaurants when I took him out to eat. We all had differnet selections of the fresh seafood. I had salmon (shanghai style), my wife had scallops (shanghai style), and my guests had scallops (broiled) and scrod (broiled). For desert, the ladies had creme brule and key lime pie.
