  • "My wife and I had dinner at Mitchell's on a Saturday evening. Although the food was fine, the service was very poor. We had our dinner outside on the patio. We felt forgotten..... There were times when we could not even find a server. Between ordering and service, it took nearly 20 minutes to get our first drink. In addition, during our dinner, when ordering additional food or drink..... it appeared that our orders were lost or delayed for some unknown reason. No explanation was given and the place did not appear busy. Just a bad night. It is unfortunate, but we will not be returning.. Too many other options out there."

  • "When we walked into the dining area there was a odd odor in the room. Not a "fishy" smell as you might expect at a seafood restaurant but something odd like sewage. Did a drain back up or something? It wasn't bad enough to keep us from ordering dinner and my friends said they barely noticed it but I thought it was pretty foul."

  • "We made on-line reservations for a birthday celebration. The process was very simple. I was pleasantly surprised that Mitchell's Fish Market also catered to kids, with an exceptional menu for their liking (parent-approved options as well, including fresh green beans and fresh strawberries). I've only been able to dine at this restaurant a handful of times (we have a young family), but have been thoroughly impressed with my dining experience with every visit."

  • "Missing the "salted baked potato" which was a highlight to any dinner chosen at Mitchell's (please please bring them back!) The menu on the webpage still shows that this item is available. Salads were fresh and delicious. Hot bread is always excellent. The cocktails/beer/wine we ordered "were out of stock" on Saturday night, we substituted, but missed what we wanted to drink. Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail was excellent. Service is always good. I requested "no peppers" due to allergy, but the Calamari had pepper-strips mixed in, we picked them out, I still could not risk eating Calamari. Thank you."

On the sad side, we were there for a birthday celebration...and they were out of several things that night...at 7pm?? Notably, they were out of Salmon, Tilapia, Crab, Filet Mignon...just to name a few favorites that we requested. I was happy with shrimp! :)"

  • "Got there at 6:15 with a group of 7. By 8pm the manager came out and said they forgot to put our food order in. She did make a very large effort to rectify everything monetarily which was appreciated. Suggestion would be to ensure they are staffed enough to keep up with the happy hour crowd (bar was slow too - waited for 5-10 minutes with 7 of us at the bar before walking away from it with no order put in)."

  • "Whenever we want to go out for a Saturday dinner for just the two of us, we don't want to fight the loud crowds and wait, even when we have a reservation. At Mitchell's, we are always seated promptly (of late we have opted to sit in one of the many comfy leather booths in the bar area, mostly because of our "regular" waiter, Hunter. He has a charming and welcoming demeanor and always makes us feel special.) The place really starts to fill up, so if you can get there before 7pm on a Saturday, things are less hectic. But we'll stop in for a later dinner any night we get back from a trip and we are never dissatisfied. The menu changes up every season, but you can always count on the fish being fresh and your favorites are always on the menu."

  • "We booked reservations at the last minute, arrived and seated quickly. Service was quick in the beginning and the food took longer than expected but came to the table piping hot. Very good quality and quantity of food and even though I did not order asparagus it was good too. Noise level was quite loud and hard to talk at the table but otherwise was comfortable surroundings.   • "We knew that it would be very busy on Father's Day and it was. In spite of that, our server was very attentive. However, we waited a very long time for our meal and when it came the pasta in my order was stuck together in hard layers. Luckily, I'm a light eater and had plenty of good pasta but others might not have fared as well. Our server apologized (we knew it wasn't his fault) and we received two coupons instead of one for a return visit. We'll probably use at least one of them but definitely won't go for a holiday meal."

I could eat the mussles and seafood americana all day! My hubby had the sockeye salmon and loved it...I hate salmon. .and I thought it was good! And we got a $15gift certificate for our next visit...which is a great father's day gift :)"

  • "This past weekend for Father's Day we dined at 630 pm with a still very bright sun shining bright. Our experience went downhill from there. The bar area was filthy and the wood bar area was very marked up and a poor reflection on M's. We were seated in a timely manner. The time it took to receive our food was fine as we knew they were busy. But we also expected our food to be hot and fresh and two of our three meals, including my sea bass were slightly warm at best. As a diehard Mitchell's fan for years, I won't dine there again until they scrub the place clean and remodel. I was saddened by my experience as I always held Mitchell's out as the standard. I hope they turn it around soon as I have used them for business events too."

  • "We've been to Mitchell's at least a dozen times and it's always good but this time the food was great! I had the Seafood Americana - scallops, Cajun shrimp, mushrooms in a delicious sauce... I will go back just for that! My husband loved his dinner as well - I forget the name but it had tilapia, salmon & scallops. He enjoyed the variety of flavored and the portion size wasn't too big which we appreciate. Our friend got the lobster bisque on my recommendation - always good! The only small negative was that our server seemed really rushed/ distracted and our bread didn't come until after the soups/salads (I had to ask for it) - since I was the only one who didn't order an app, I had to sit and watch everyone eat..."

  • "I usually enjoy Mitchell's for their excellence food, service and ambiance. Was disappointed this trip though. I wanted to make a reservation for a group for the following week. I was told I would have to contact the event coordinator. So I asked for the number, and the hostess failed to provide it. She wasn't even at the entrance when I was leaving, or I would have asked again for the business card. During our meal, I wasn't served the potatoes that go with the sea bass. Our waitress was absent, so I had to ask another waiter to get the potatoes. She came back, and was very standoffish after that. Not a good night."

Fortunately our waiter informed us we got the last two servings. I heard a number of people at tables around us order the Copper River Salmon only to be told there was none left. Suggestion to Mitchell's: Dont send out an email blast if you aren't able to accommodate your guests with the item your advertising for longer than three days."

When the server came to take our orders, we were told they had just run out for the day! We had a very good meal, but I was still disappointed since we had driven from north of Dayton to West Chester."
