  • "Asian Salad and Shrimp Cocktail were great as apps and were the highlight of the meal. Lobster tails not prepared to specifications which put a damper on the meal. Good meal, but would prefer Anchor for the price."

  • "We had a reservation but still had to wait 15-20 minutes for a table. We could have gotten a table in the bar area without a wait. Our waitress was Amanda. She started off attentive to our table of four, but things went down hill quickly. She lost attention for our table when her are become filled with a larger party. She seemed to forget we were part of her station. She could clearly see we were finished with our meals, and did not even ask if we wanted dessert. She said here is your check sir. And wanted to clear the table right away. Other waiters were more attentive to our party as were left thank us for coming in. Will we go back, not right away."

  • "I loved everything about our experience except for one thing. I had made the reservations for 4 people through open table. When we arrived we were told that there was no reservation for us and that the rest of our party had not arrived yet. They seated us anyhow without a reservation. Just as we sat down one of the other of our party came over to say they already had a table. This created confusion. Would have been nice if the hostess had the ability to see if part of the party on the reservation had been seated. Nevertheless, the food was great. All of us enjoyed it. We did have dessert. The Carrot Cake is HUGE! Enough to feed 4-6 people."

We had visitor's from out of town who wanted seafood and I choose Mitchell's due to never having dined there before and it was exceptional, the quality of the food was outstanding and the value for your money was superb. I look forward to dining there again in the very near future."

I suspect in a less hectic environment we would have enjoyed it more. We have done Mitchell's in Newport and it was more to our expectations."

  • "I typically LOVE Mitchell's. They have one of the best Filet Oscar's in town. This time I went away from the norm and ordered a special. It was just OK so I was a little disappointed that I didn't stick with my usual. The server seemed somewhat put out. We did have a large group so maybe we overwhelmed her???? I do love the fact that we had the private room for our group given some of our guests were coming from out of town. Something we try and do at least twice a year. I'll still go back......."

  • "My sister and husband are seafood fans, while the children love steak. So this was the perfect place to make everyone happy! The lobster was fabulous, the clam chowder divine, the filet melted in their mouths. And the creme brulee, well, it speaks for itself! Everyone left content and not room for another bite.   • "It is first and obviously a chain restaurant. I had an awesome wedge salad, fresh crisp bacon and lots of bleu cheese my friend enjoyed her lobster bisque. Wine list is adequate. This place sells itself as a fish specialty restaurant, it is not. I had an entree with shrimp,scallops and Salmon. The shrimp was good, the salmon was overcooked and the scallops were like hockey pucks. My friend had trout, it was flavorless and mushy. The springs were shot in the booth where we sat. Creme brule was runny. Coffee was good. Manager was nice but I don't think I would recommend or try it again. It was loud."

  • "I am sad to say that I was highly disappointed with my last visit at your restaurant. First and most prominently was the terrible fish odor. I have never experienced that before with your restaurants. Then our waiter seemed to be distracted and not attentive at all, again I have never experienced that before either. Finally, I ordered scallops and it came with rice and green beans. The rice and green beans were under cooked and the scallops were over cooked. I would have mentioned it BUT our waiter never came back to check on us. I was surprised by the disappointing visit because I have dined with you numerous times."

  • "I have eaten at the Fish Market several times in Columbus, Ohio and have enjoyed it every time. When I found out there was not only one, but two Fish Markets in the Cincinnati area, I was pleased. The one at Newport on the Levee is close to where I work, so I could do lunch there sometime. I actually bought several gift cards at the one in Newport, one I used at the West Chester Fish Market. It is a tad bid of a drive from Dayton, Ohio to the West Chester Fish Market, but the one in Columbus is much farther away. While we will not be making special trips to West Chester to go to the Fish Market, it is nice to know it is there when we travel to/from Cincinnati. I live in Dayton, Ohio and drive to Cincinnati to work."

Their prices were high also, but they had something extra going on that seemed to make it better. I do not think I would go back to Mitchell's -- it seemed almost like an O'Charleys or Perkins or something with fine-dining prices :-("

  • "What used to be a great locally owned restaurant, with fabulous food, has gone the way of national corporate ownership. First was a service decline. Then a change from "nightly" fresh-printed menus. Now it's not just a decline in presentation but the elimination of baked potatoes. Folks - SW Ohio is as Midwest farmland as it gets. We don't serve great steaks without a baker here! Even that red shellfish chain serves baked potatoes. This is still a fair restaurant, nobly hanging in with an outstanding GM. It simply isn't upscale enough to justify the increasingly high prices. National Chefs - if you are expanding into land-based foods more and more, you have to serve baked potatoes not a tasteless poor man's mash of redskins."

Not rushed, but timely. I'm generally a beer or wine person but the Basil Smash was a pleasant surprise. Will definitely go back."
