  • "Tuesday Night 5:45 reservations. Not too busy, got busier as the night when on. Table service was excellent; Anna was a great waitress, paying attention to detail. Food was good, and several mentioned they come back for a second visit. I didn't see anything that would bring me back... I guess I was disappointed by the Host/Hostess not coming into the bar to let us know our table was ready and taking our drinks for us. At an upscale restaurant, this should be a priority. I did notice the mouthwash in the bathroom though! Nice touch."

  • "Three of us had $25 entrees that were mediocre at best. Nothing special in their presentation and definitely lacking in flavor. My trio of scallops, salmon, and tilapia were disappointing The scallop entrée was rubbery and tasteless. The fried calamari appetizer was very good. I don't plan to return in the future."

  • "My wife wanted to go somewhere for seafood for her birthday. I chose Mitchell's Fish Market. What a great place for seafood. Plenty of options for the seafood lover. They have something for everyone. Really like the pace of the service. We started with an appetizer. It arrived after a few minutes. We were completely done with it before the salads and soup arrived. Then we were completely done with the soap and salads before our entrée arrived. Did not feel rushed at all. We had great service. We will be back again!"

  • "The fish tacos were pretty bland and when I asked for limes, the waiter should have brought more instead of pointing out the single wedge on my plate. The wine was good at thirty-four for the bottle. My cousin had to ask for his own catchup after he was served as the waiter was saving up on this expensive condiment. The waiter should have smiled and I didn't see that once. I will go to Mc Cormick's next time."

  • "We found this spot due to over-crowding in nearby restaurants; which is us usually a bad sign; not as crowded usually means that food is not as good. That was not the case here, maybe people thought it might cost more or that they weren't in the mood for fish; but whatever the case the food was outstanding, the service second to none and the ambience was friendly and spacious. We had a party of 6 including a 7 year old and everyone enjoyed their meals. We will definitely be back."

  • "We celebrated my daughter in law's birthday and were, as always, impressed with the food and service. And, as is usually the case, when we stayed way too long...talking and catching up, NEVER did we feel rushed to move on. (Did I say the food was OUTSTANDING). Well it was........my salmon was perfect..........as was my grandson's 'burger'. (He's 19, a burger at a fish restaurant? As I said, he is 19!). I would highly recommend this restaurant. You will not be disappointed."

  • "I went to Mitchell's Fish Market for my wedding anniversary dinner. The food was very good and the service was outstanding. I didn't mention that I was celebrating an anniversary when I made the reservation but when we mentioned it to our wonderful server Claudia, she had special menus printed up with our Anniversary date and # of years being celebrated. She also arranged for my husband and I to each have a complimentary dessert. I will definitely return to Mitchell's Fish Market."

  • "As a special occasion, I took my retired father out for dinner. We started with the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer and a couple of cocktails. The shrimp were amazing in the slightly spicy barbecue sauce and the cocktails were mixed to perfection. With just the right amount of time to relax, we were presented with our cups of Seafood Chowder and Sourdough bread. Amazing! We had the Cod Stuffed with shrimp & lobster and the Salmon with the shrimp & lobster topped with a hollandaise sauce. Both entrees were prepared magnificently. We finished the evening with a wonderful cup of cappuccino topped with cinnamon. This was one of the best dinning experiences we have had! Our server, Amy was extremely gracious, friendly and knowledgable."

The host is very distracted by whatever they are doing on the phone. It feels like you have very complicated process in the front of the restaurant and makes you feel like you are being a bother. For the customer, it is irritating. This unique to this restaurant."

  • "The Clam Chowder soup was an excellent way for the ladies to start dinner. The men had salads that were made with fresh and crisp ingredients. Our server was friendly and timed bringing the food in great intervals. Three of us had the lobster tail/steak kabobs and 1 in the party enjoyed the shrimp/steak kabobs. All 4 dinners were tasty. We topped the dinner off with the carrot cake which was excellent. We dined on a Sunday evening and enjoyed the lower key atmosphere."

  • "We arrived early for our reservation and stopped into the bar area for a cocktail before dinner. Service was attentive and drinks were really good. We were looking forward to our dinner and we were promptly seated by the hostess, however, no one seemed to notice that we were sitting there for a really long time. My husband finally asked someone to find out who our server was and to please send them over. After what looked like a little confusion, our server came over and apologized for the delay. Then one of the managers followed up and offered his apology and from then on, we were given the royal treatment. So overall, we really were impressed with the professionalism of the establishment and would definitely recommend it."

  • "Party of 4 came for oysters. Ordered Large sampler, 12, most oyster places a dozen is standard. Quality was acceptable, but the price was $30, much higher than other oyster competitors. I ordered seafood gumbo in a bowl . A bowl = 1 1/2 cups here, rather small with a deceptive very shallow bottom to their bowls. $8 bowl of soup, not worth it nor very good. Friend ordered the shrimp cocktail, received 4 average shrimp for $13 & asked for a side of asparagus, she received 3 very thin asparagus for $5, completely insulting! 3 other appetizers were ordered that were very small in size for the high price charged. This was by far the worst food experience I've had in some time. Host/Hostess staff completely disorganized."

  • "My first visit to Mitchell's was exceptional. The bar was not overly crowded and the service was very friendly. Good choice of beers on tap. I would recommend getting reservations in advance because it becomes quite busy as the evening goes on. The menu selection is good with tasty appetizers and wonderful main courses. The lobster and crab legs are what we ordered, and they were wonderful. Very tasty and well prepared. Overall experience was pleasant. We very much enjoyed out time at Mitchell's and are planning on returning again."

  • "Mitchell's Fish market is obviously a high-end chain restaurant. Despite that, they actually do a great job. They do have some excellent fish choices. The fish they serve is always very fresh, prepared simply and delicious. their oysters are delicious especially with their ginger mignonette. Overall, it's not as good as The Harbor House downtown, but a chain restaurant can never compare to a restaurant with a true chef. However for the price it can't be beat. The Harbor House winds up being more of a special occasion type place. For good seafood in Brookfield I highly recommend Mitchell's."

  • "We arrived a few minutes before our 7:30 reservation on February 15th to be told they were still seating the 7:15 reservations and that it might be 7:35 before we were seated and they would text us when our table was availabe. At 7:50, I approached the hostess desk and asked when we would be seated and why did I bother to make a reservation that they had no intent of honoring. We were then taken to a table that I could see sitting empty and waiting for patrons for the past 15 minutes. The waitress clearly had too many tables, as this restaurant obviously doesn't know how to manage for a busy night. We waited 15 minutes more just to be given a "I apologize and will be right with you" by the waitress."

  • "We visited on the Saturday of valentines weekend. The place was sold out but our Waiter didn't rush us and took great care of us. The food was fresh and seasoned just right. The only negative that I could bring up was they tried to seat us at a small two person table , but in the end we did get them to switch us to a more comfortable booth, the rest of the night went without a hitch, including the free desert for my wife ( it was her birthday). Also note: if you tell them in advance of a birthday or special occasion they will customize your menu !!!!"

  • "We've been here 4 times, it was one of our favorites - This is the first time we had experienced the lobster bisque been VERY salty. I mentioned it to the waitress, she commented how she agreed, and it's the recipe. Would have liked perhaps a discount of sorts, but alas, did not. The cedar plank salmon was good, and I have eaten it in the past, a bit overcooked and have enjoyed it more before."
