  • "We loved the restaurant & prix fixe dinner, but our check & the paying process put a sour taste in our mouths. We received a complex check & found we were overcharged by one complete prix fixe dinner, which the restaurant adjusted. We had to specify the tip by percentage & sign the credit card receipt both on an iPad. We asked -- & were reassured -- that the percentage tip would be applied to the food bill before tax. We received a paper receipt that was just a print of the total bill without the tip. When we complained, the manager hand wrote a total on the receipt that included the tip, & when we did the math, we discovered that the tip had been calculated on the entire bill, including tax. The manager claimed human error. Hmmm ..."

  • "We have never had a bad dish here. This visit was no different. Great appies and desserts. Had Papardelle (with veal & ricotta) - delish! Other diners had grilled salmon or a pasta entree which all gave high marks. In addition, everyone on the staff made the visit fun and relaxed. The only little negative is that sometimes the noise level is a bit high. Otherwise, we love having a venue of this quality in our town."

  • "Four of us went for the Tuesday night special of $10 burgers, and I opted for the pint of $5 beer. The burgers arrived more or less as ordered, and were good, but not great. Accompanying them were huge,beautiful salads. The combination of burger and beer is a true bargain. The others at the table ordered multiple drinks and wine ,running the bill way up, but that wasn't the restaurant's fault. It's possible to have a very satisfying meal for a very satisfying price."

Although loud at times, the Tuna, Stripe Bass and Salmon are always great choices. But the duck with the fried egg on top was a terrific app and I will definitely order that again"

The Roslyn salad was terrific and I would recommend it. I had the fettuccini and it was way too salt and heavy handed. I don't think I will be coming back."

  • "The wine list is good but I received the wrong wine, I chose at $15 more for the bottle, it was a delicious Amarone none the less. My wife and I shared the wedge salad and it was tasty. Our friends had the mussels and one of the small plates. It was when the main arrived that palates were excited. The steak was superb, juicy, flavorful and cooked perfectly. The pasta with seafood was lapped up and thoroughly enjoyed. Off my weight watchers diet for the night I ordered the foie gras burger substituting the fries for string beans. It was sensational. We finished the meal sharing a smores which was gooey and chewey and delicious along with a great cup of decaf coffee. I can't remember a better meal in a long time. A bit pricey but excellent."

The waiter honored the half portion price, but the portion was like an appetizer and that's the full size? Food is average at best with above average prices. Won't be returning ."

  • "This was our third or fourth visit. Food consistently above average, but at odds with physical surroundings. In this former Friendly's with its tile floor, there is an uncomfortable lack of ambience. We will not return soon because i am writing this at 4:15 am. With my heart pounding, it's hard to believe that the "Definitely decaf" cappuccino (as I always order it) was what I was actually served. This is decidedly uncool and perhaps is related to the fact that our waitress was MIA after taking the beverage and dessert order. A full ten minutes after the bus staff cleared our table we had to waive another waiter down to get our check. Friday dinner should be the way to start a relaxing weekend, not a way,after a sleepless night to ruin it."

  • "I dined there with a business associate and we had a lovely time. The decor was very nice and lunch was delightful, along with the 2-person wait staff. We asked for and received food recommendations. We wound up ordering the 3 course lunch special and thoroughly enjoyed each course. We had onion soup, salad, the salmon and salmon BLT. We took our dessert home - my flourless chocolate cake with berries was delicious."

  • "$18 burgers; $43 veal chops. This is NOT a high-end steakhouse or a Manhattan experience. Prices are too high. And you never know who your waitperson is. One person greets you, another takes your order, another brings your food and no one really checks to see how you're doing. Although water glasses are kept full and that's a plus. Orders were mixed up and couldn't find our waiter to fix it. Entrees ordered came with incorrect side dishes. Overall food is GREAT and some original items on the menu. But even in expensive Long Island, a burger should not be more than $13 - 15. Restaurant was surprisingly full at 6:30 on a snowy Sunday; so they're doing something RIGHT!"

  • "We arrived early for reservation and were warmly greeted by the hostess. While waiting for our table, we had a drink at the bar. The bartender, Eric was very friendly and made a great espresso martini, he also gave us great food recommendations. Our table was snuggled in a corner creating a romantic setting. Our server Tony was super attentive & friendly. We started with the Kobe beef sliders which were perfectly cook and delicious, we also had the pumpkin ravioli. I would definitely order the sliders again! For our entrees, we ordered the hake and bacon wrapped monk fish, again, they were perfectly cooked and tasty. For dessert, we chose the S'mores brownie which was perfect size to share. I can't wait to go back!!!!"

  • "Walking into the restaurant from a cold winter night....you were immediately greeted by the warm feeling of a vibrant restaurant firing on all cylinders. From the immediate attention by the wait staff asking if my wife and I needed a cocktail to the final sips of the lovely cappuccino....any feelings from the bone chilling cold outside were replaced with the warm tidings of our repeat visit to Mitch and Toni's American Bistro. Once again...the wonderful and flavorful hake as well as the veal pappardelle were impressive... We look forward to our next visit and trying other mouth watering dishes."

  • "We've been going to Mitch & Toni's since it opened several years ago. The combination of wonderfully creative dishes and friendly wait staff make it a place we return to on a very regular basis. I can honestly say we've never left unhappy. The menu does change on a seasonal basis. At times, I've been saddened to see some favorite dishes dropped, but they've always been replaced by equally interesting and delicious choices. Highly recommended!!!"

  • "Seating was very tight. Overpriced, small portions. Tuna was very good, but overpriced at $39.00. Pumpkin ravioli could have had more flavor. I had better. Some of the mussels were soft. Scallops were tasteless. Dinner came late. I like that they served unusual dishes. Servers were nice and friendly."

  • "This is my third time eating at Mitch and Toni's since moving to Williston Park a year and a half ago. Everytime you go, there are new and exciting items on the menu. The staff is very attentive and it has a very modern and up to date look on the inside. The food is always cooked perfectly and as ordered. The water recommendations are always spot on and unlike most restaurants you get an honest opinion. Some must haves are the Caesar salad (with lightly fried calamari on top), the New York strip steak, 14 ounces of tender deliciousness, and when in season, the pumpkin cheesecake, so light and fluffy. It can be a bit pricey, although you can't beat their $10 burger Tuesdays with burgers the size of your head."

  • "We were a group of 4, they sat us based on the res, however we were sat at the first round table as you entered.. There was another round in the back left area, and a square 4 top to its right as well as a table along the back wall. I immed. asked if we could move to one of those tables. I was told they were reserved, when I asked a server I was told that the tables were asigned. We had to move the table to the right, then left and then back on top of the table one row back from us because every time a server/ bus boy walked by he knocked my seat. One time I saw him coming and I pushed my chair back to block his way. What was most annoying was that 2 of the 3 tables were never sat."

Toni runs the house with warmth and class. The staff is always energetic and works like a team. It is clear that they are all happy. Just a great night note: they are allergy friendly too."
