  • "Everything was fabulous!! Food, View, Libations, only exceeded by the fine service. Ordered an appetizer of baked oysters with chorizo -- one oyster had the chorizo but was missing the oyster. Asked if I might have one more to replace that one and was compensated a full order of five instead of just one replacement. It doesn't get any better than that for excellent customer service -- I know, being a restaurant hostess myself, providing my customers with the ultimate of customer service. We will return and recommend Mission Rock Resort to family, friends and colleagues."

  • "Unusual junky building in a junky industrial neighborhood. Dining upstairs with in or out seating. Food was good and service people were relaxed. Looked like a techie spot."

  • "Sitting on the deck on a warm summer's day is one of the best places to be in SF."

  • "I literally had a standing brunch reservation here every Sunday. I have a toddler, and this was the only place we could come straight in with a reservation and get to sit outside and enjoy the afternoon. This Sunday, I brought my family as usual, and we were told we had to wait to sit outside even though we had reservations. There was a table inside we could sit at. I know other places did this but not my Mission Rock?! So we got to wait for about an hour with a toddler for an outside table. I'm sure they are trying to attract a different crowd, not the toddler-toting ones, but we still loved getting to chill outside with some eggs and mimosas while having the security of knowing we could get in when we showed up. :("

  • "A heaped plate of perfect shoestring fries w rosemary to share set the tone for a delicious & leisurely lunch. Siitting in the outdoor deck under the sunshine yellow umbrellas, time slows down. Creamy clam chowder was excellent, & shrimp Louis refreshing. Fish tacos looked great & I'll get round to those next time. Split dishes were nicely presented and details of preferences noted & served accurately. All service was just right at the right time."

  • "3rd time here which should say it all. We arrived early enough to secure a table on the outside deck; if the weather is pleasant, I think this al fresco option is primary to one's enjoyment here. Food is better than adequate, drinks good, service very pleasant, but, mostly it just feels so good to eat outside in this kind of out-of-the-way location."

  • "I love this place...come here to enjoy the breathtaking view and food whenever I get a chance. Service is always excellent. Don't miss out on their bread pudding with ice crab. Our of this world! :-)"

  • "My husband, 7 yr. old daughter, and I went to Mission Rock for Father's Day. I made reservations. We arrived a bit early and were able to be seated right away. An outside table was available, which was very nice since the weather was great. Our waitress was nice and attentive. Food was delicious. I look forward to going back!"

  • "The hamburger here is about the best I've had anywhere. Very good food, good service, in a unique San Francisco industrial location. Ample street (paid) parking. Great outdoor seating that is fairly protected from the wind on most days."

  • "What makes Mission Rock Resort a great place to dine is the outdoor seating area and the views of the Bay. Food is ok but nothing exciting or different. Our group consisted of people who do not eat animals or anything that comes from an animal so our only choice left was a few unexciting salads in the menu. We had vegan people visiting from the East Coast and they were shocked to see that nothing other than salads was available for vegans and vegetarians in a San Francisco restaurant. It would be great if the Chef recognized that there are more and more people who do not want to partake in the killing of animals to become human food and could include cruelty and slaughter free items in the menu. • "This place was recommended to me from a friend back in Sacramento. Sarah was our server and she was perfect. Never pushy she let us enjoy our meal. I really appreciate a server who knows what they're doing and are genuinely happy to serve others. "

  • "Brought my wife, daughter and mom for a belated Mother's Day brunch. Was a beautiful day at Mission Bay, but a little breezy, so sat inside with a great view. My wife enjoyed the Bacon Bloody Mary, and my daughter had a mimosa. The three ladies all ordered the Breakfast Biscuit, and I had the Fish and Chips. It seemed like the food took a long time to arrive, but once it did, it was very good. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves!"

  • "We had tickets to see the SF GIANTS and met up w friends at Mission Rock Resort. Wow! We loved it! If the place was only about the view it would not have disappointed. We sat outside and had a wonderful meal. Service was attentive the oysters and fish were delicious. I'd call this place a "Home run!" Try it!"

  • "We had a large-ish group (7 adults, 2 kids, 1 baby), and the staff was very accommodating. Had an early Sunday brunch reservation, so that helped. Parking on the street was easy and free before 12 p.m."

  • "Great Oysters, clams, shrimp platters. I love the lunch menu. Brunch menu could expand a little. Service was terrific. The location is fab, away from the tourists and still on the water. Parking is pretty easy."

  • "The place to be on a beautiful day, esp. If you enjoy eating outdoors. Our group shared appetizers so never got to try the entrees. Low food score due to "not quite fresh" shrimp."

  • "We went to Mission Rock for Mother's Day brunch. We enjoyed the fish and chips, dungeness crab benedict, and granola. Everything was delicious. We had been to Mission Rock Resort for dinner and wanted to see how brunch compared. It was an equally pleasant dining experience, but this time we were able to enjoy dining on the deck for the first time."

  • "I love this restaurant because the food is excellent, with interesting variations on old favorites--esp seafood. Casual and enjoyable rain or shine, outdoor patios are some of the best in the Bay Area. Reasonably priced. Good place for a small group or family party. "

  • "We went to Mission Rock Resort for dinner on the spur of the moment, we had not been there before. The view of the bay is wonderful and there is both indoor and outdoor seating. The drinks were really good as were the fresh oysters we ordered to start. I had fish and chips for dinner which were very good and my wife had the crab louie salad which was very good, fresh and large. Our waitress, Adriana, was great-friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. She recommended the bread pudding for dessert and it was spectacular. We will go back."

  • "It was packed the night we went, but we had a reservation (note: put outdoor seating in your open table reservation so you can enjoy the view!) Service was a little slow, but food was decent - really enjoyed the fish tacos and oysters, our prepared fish dish was a little bland. View was phenomenal, bar was great! Good cocktails and a nice beer/wine selection."

  • "We had Friday night reservation for 2 at 6:30pm. It's a busy time but was certainly not filled to capacity; the lower level was not being used. For the amount of customers, there was not enough servers as there were busers. They accommodated us in every way and had a great attitude throughout our entire visit. I recommend taking the time to just relax and enjoy without rushing through the experience and the experience should be enjoyable such as ours. Happy hour, luckily runs until 7pm. "

  • "It was Easter and a beautiful day so of course we had to sit outside near the bay. Sat us immediately. Drinks (beer bloodly marys) were pretty good actually. Oysters were yummy. But, the rest of the food was just ok. ....fish and chips, bagel w/salmon and bisquit and egg/cheese"

  • "The best thing about Mission Rock is the $1 oysters and extended happy hour (until 7pm weekdays). The next best thing is sitting outside, overlooking the Bay, and the occasional seal that pops up. Third best thing? No tourists or hipsters -- just SF peeps. Perfect time to go: 5pm any weekday. Great cocktail list, great wine and beer list, yummy oysters and fries. I've also gone for a special occasion dinner, and my friend's parents are having their 50th wedding anniversary party here soon, so this place works for large parties and special dates too."

  • "Second time at Mission Rock Resort. Service was better this time around although I admit the first time the restaurant was very busy for a Tuesday. Had the Salmon Benedict and it was excellent. Love sitting outside looking over the water and ships. Great spot to hit before a Giants game as it is nice to walk back to AT&T after a meal to burn off some off some calories. Also it is nice because it is much more quiet that the bars/restaurants that are adjacent to the park. I will be back again."

  • "Five of us, so speaking only for myself, the New England clam chowder was thin & watery, not thick & creamy as it should be. My crab Louie was a disaster of blahdom. No taste, nothing much but chopped lettuce & the little cup of sauce was tasteless. I had to ask for bread, but maybe that's just as well. My wife says her mussels were okay, but she too was quite disappointed in the chowder. The ambience & setting were great. The waitress as well. Place was empty at 1 pm except for their outdoor dining deck. I really think they need to work seriously on their offerings for the place to survive."

  • "A Gem! A rare find where food is great, view is exceptional, noise level is such that you can carry a conversation, even whisper. Catch the Happy Hour--oysters are cheaper albeit small sizes, but delicious. Bring a group and enjoy the food and the view! Maître d(a guy with rings working on 4/9) was a little haughty. Not a good person to represent the restaurant.Gives an initial negative impression. The other maître ds before were good. This is the first time I've seen this one.Consider putting someone at the front desk with a pleasant face and a lovely smile;a welcoming greeting would be a bonus."

  • "Had eggs benedict. English muffin barely toasted. Potatoes: some cold, some perfectly hot. It was raining so we had to sit inside but host seated us at a table in the middle of the dining room even though a more desirable window table was available (and we had reservations for a birthday). Been here many times, this is the first time I was somewhat disappointed."

  • "Had to take my son into the City early on Saturday and decided to have breakfast there. What a wonderful place to walk into. There is a great outdoor seating area but it was a little cool for outdoor eating. Great view of the bay, bright and airy. We had the braised beef hash and the Huevos Rancheros. It was a great way to start the day. Can't wait to come back again."
