  • "My husband and I came here for our anniversay and will be coming back for sure! You can't go wrong with endless champagne and brunch. We had the egg benedict and waffles- both really good. I also had the shrimp ceviche, scallop ceviche, bacon, flank steak, mashed potatoes, fresh fruit, cinnamon rolls, apple tart dessert, and hashbrowns (weren't seasoned very well). But overall, this place was great! I loved the outdoor seating, and our server, George, was great! Definitely worth the price, and we'll be coming back soon!"

  • "The Mission Inn Restaurant is a great restaurant. I have eaten there often and it is consistently good. The lunch buffet is excellent and well priced. One puzzling thing was a dish labeled to be gnocchi was actually ravioli. It was delicious but misnamed. The dessert table is outstanding with a bread pudding that is almost addictive. The hostess was very accommodating and the server was personable and attentive. The outdoor area is a beautiful setting and the individual heaters available for each table are very effective without making the area uncomfortably warm."

  • "Had brunch for my husbands 49th birthday. The food was okay. My husband enjoyed the seafood but the other dishes were bland. Not anything that I would return for. The hotel is beautiful. The service was okay, had to keep asking for coffee/champagne. Table for two was so wobbly that our drinks kept spilling when we tried to move in/out of table."

  • "The food quality could be a little better. Started with the 3 shrimp cocktail....wouldn't hurt to add another shrimp for the $16 you pay. I ordered the Dugeness Crab Tartine, again, not really impressed. The crab lacked seasoning, it was served with dry mixed greens, avocado that wasn't fresh, as it had dark spots and sour dough that I just tossed to the side."

  • "I went for lunch with a long time friend on Monday to the Mission Inn Restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by their wonderful Lunch Buffet! I thought they only had this service offered on the weekends. But, for $18 a person, we could choose from some of the most delicious items! We ate outside in the courtyard next to the beautiful fountain. Just perfect!"

  • "Fine dining in a mission patio for Sunday brunch was a fantastic experience! The ambiance was lovely with table umbrellas shading the morning sun, bouganvillas cascading over the mission walls, and the fountains splashing a water melody! There were so many food choices that I found it necessary to return to the buffet several times! Crab legs dipped in drawn butter, prime rib roast and eggs benedict were some of my favorites. Of course, there was champagne which I mixed with orange juice for a thirst quenching mimosa. Chocolate dipped strawberries, creme brulee and flan were my dessert selections. I would have loved to try the strawberry shortcake or bread pudding, but alas, I had to draw the line somewhere! I plan to return soon."

  • "We sat in the courtyard of the Mission Inn for dinner. The evening's weather was beautiful and we had a table for 6 with plenty of room. We all ordered different entrees and everyone was pleased with their food. The service was great--we never had an empty glass. Yes, it's expensive, but we don't go very often and so it is something to look forward to."

  • "We dined outside after 7 pm, and it was divine. We were visiting Riverside from Michigan, and decided to spend our 1st anniversary at The Mission Inn. We were delighted with the ambience you create in the courtyard. I am a very detailed oriented person, and I must say the staff is as well. From the placement of the tables, to the beautiful table settings, to the linens, to the impeccable service, to the amazing food, we could not have imagined a more romantic setting. My husband even took a picture of his dinner to post on Facebook because it was so impressive! In summary, if we lived in or near Riverside, we would dine at your restaurant often. The next time we visit the area, we will be there. Kudos!"

  • "We had buffet lunch. Salad bar was just ok. Nothing special. The entres were ok kind of bland. But the desert bar we really good. I dont usually eat desserts. Oh the shrimp at sale bar was good to. Stickler has a better saladbar than they did. Salmon was mushy not flaky. Tortilini was bland chicken wings had no sauce. Very dissapointed with the food"

  • "My wife and I were looking for a romantic dinner out before a Saturday concert. We were very pleased with the Mission Inn Restaurant. Asked for the patio and got to sit next to the fountain with the sparrows eyeing us for a snack. We ordered the meatloaf cupcakes as a starter. My wife wanted the spa steak and I took the advice of the salmon. Everything was cooked to perfection. We were able to finish our dinner and pay our check within an hour of our arrival. No problems, no hassles, and great service. My wife wants to return and order the dinner buffet prime rib."

The champghne was pretty good nothing too special but the fresh orange juice made it for me. We sat in the patio area and it was a very beautiful setting, however we just moved from Oregon so it was a bit hot for us in February. Service was great! Everyone was very helpful and eager to help you find what you needed or wanted. Our waitress was nice, but you could tell she was in a hurry to leave or was tired of being there, but she was very attentive for the most part. Always refilling (: I would recommend this place to anyone. The hotel is phenomenal and with lots of history."

I wanted an evening of good service, candles, exquisite food and unique architecture and history. I also wanted a special experience where my wife and I could connect after a long week and get away from our 1 year old for a few hours. The Mission Inn Restaurant was all those things. Great job!"

  • "We got to the restaurant early but had to wait for our table. It seemed they weren't ready for dinner because our reservations were for 4 but the tables outside weren't set yet. We wanted to sit out there but would have had to wait even longer than we already had so we sat inside. This was our first time at this restaurant. It was our 22nd anniversary. Other than that, everything was perfect. Our waiter, Raul was fantastic. Very nice and attentive. We had the special menu for Valentine's Day. My husband and I both had the salad. Different but very good. I had the filet mignon. As soft as butter. My husband had the swordfish. Good also. And we each had the different desserts. So good. The wine was also very good."

  • "We have been several times for dinner with Family and or friends who had never been there before and had an enjoyable dinner each time. The ambiance is wonderful and the servers very professional and have great dispositions; they help make for a pleasurable experience. I am turning 55 in March and am considering having my "Turning Senior Citizen" dinner there. I also love the fact that patrons are mindful when it comes to bringing kids (I have not seen any in the few times that I have had dinner there)."
