The wine was very good as were the seasonal dishes. Both loved our early dinner there! I had the chicken and my friend had the halibut--both great. Nephew had the veggies--always good. They shared the butterscotch/chocolate dessert: my chicken was so rich it was like dessert. The place was packed by the time we left, but there was absolutely no pressure for us to rush. Okay, maybe a little stretch but that's how I felt after eating the burger for dinner at Mission Beach Cafe. I've had some great burgers in my day but none better than this one. Make sure you order it with the caramelized onions and sautéed mushrooms - you will not regret it! As if it couldn't get better than that - order the parmesan truffle fries on the side. One word: WOW! So good. Apple pie was extraordinary for dessert - very unique twist on apple pie and if you are a fan of apple pie...it's a must try. We split two salads (beet and asparagus) and the lamb pasta, with a Mabec for me and a Barbera for my friend. We also shared the goat cheese cheesecake, which was sooo good, quite light and unlike the usuaal consistency of a cheesecake. I also had the Flying Goat Cafe Mocha, which was possibly the best coffee drink I've ever had. It's like having a 5 star experience in a casual neighborhood atmosphere. The staff is friendly everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully prepared.
