  • "This is mostly a business lunch place, which is a shame because the food is excellent for romantic dining and even family friendly. I eat here whenever I am in town. The menu varies, but I have never gone wrong. One of my favorites is the gazpacho soup. Fish dishes are excellent, particularly blackened salmon. Prime rib is always done perfectly, and you have never had such excellent pork chops. Try the bacon mac and cheese - great for the kids too!"

  • "We chose this spot because of the menu linked on Open Table and walking distance to an 8:00 concert. We waited 45 minutes to have our order taken and for our wine to arrive. We were not in the mood for a multi-course, extravagant, a la carte style dinner which was the only offering. We were seriously misled by the posted menu which showed great choices for a group sharing pre-show appetizers and drinks. We decided to order simple salads and 2 bottles of wine thinking that couldn't possibly take as long as full entrees. We were wrong. The inattentive service and excruciatingly slow kitchen caused us to miss Paul McCartney's opening song. We specifically mentioned we had a hard stop. If you're going to charge 5 star prices, GET IT TOGETHER."

  • " For a Saturday night there must not have been more than 2 or 3 tables of diners. We were the only people sitting outside that evening at a table on the street on a beautiful summer night. My husband enjoyed his prime rib but my Walleye was definitely on the fishy side. Our server was delightful and I did not mention the problem with the fish. For there to be so few people eating there really made us wonder what the problem was."

  • "Randomly ended up here on date night after driving from the suburbs. Walked in and felt like I was in a hotel restaurant. The decor and atmosphere was lacking and we almost didn't order. Just seems a bit outdated. I'm glad we did order though because the food was all wonderful. It is very pricey although the portions are good sized. Would recommend for a romantic dinner or work function. Again, everything was delicious and we were overall pleased with the service and selection."

  • "I made a reservation for three people--this was a business lunch and they sat us in a semi-circle bench that resulted in 3 adults' knees bumping. I requested something else but it was not until 20 minutes into our lunch did they give us an option to move. There were multiple 4 tops with two people in front of us too. I will not return here. They get business because they are downtown and in the skyway but not worth it. I will find better places."

Crab Bonaparte and cold seafood saffron salad were especially good and the truffle wontons with malt vinegar dipping sauce is a great flavor. "

I got more value than I paid for in terms of the quality of food, the amount of food, the service, decor, and location in the middle of downtown a mere 2 blocks from Minneapolis' one and only train. Especially from the staff, you're getting your money's worth. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. Our waitress struck the perfect balance between attentiveness and discretion. The decor, service and clientele were professional. If you're dressed professionally, you'll blend in better than wearing a backpack, jeans, shorts or sneakers. That was my experience on a Monday."

  • "I had eaten here once before for lunch and really liked it. But this time...I had a 1 pm lunch reservation with a friend whom I hadn't seen for a while, so we had a lot of catching up to do. We ordered appetizer, entree and dessert. By about 1:30, we started feeling rushed because the staff was moving tables around us and putting them against the wall. We were staring at an empty space. When we asked, they said they were preparing for an Ameritrade private party that evening. Well, we were there at that moment, at a reasonable time for lunch, and the restaurant should have considered the ambiance that we had too."

  • "Had a great romanitc dinner for two iat the beautiful resturant. We were seated in a cozy round booth -- the perfect spot for a romantic evening. I had the halibut. It was prepared perfectly with just the right amount of crust on the edges. The service size was HUGE. I couln't finish it. The risotto was creamy and the mango salsa fresh and tangy. My husband loved the short rib simmered in Guiness. Our server was attentive but not bothersome. Wine list was good, most of the options were pricy, but plenty of good lower priced items as well."

  • "We had an excellent server who led us through the menu and we had a perfect meal. Pairing the perfect wine with well prepared food made the experience perfect. The short ribs, chili infused muscles, and salmon were enjoyed by everyone at the table. One larger group with a very loud woman was the only distraction to the overall experience. Highly recommend this restaurant if you enjoy well prepared, high grade food."

  • "We booked a table here for dinner with International students. We had never been there, but chose it because it was walking distance from the hotel and the menu seemed to have enough options. We were all delighted with the choice. The appetizer portions were very large - we ordered the ceviche, shrimp and Brie, which was more than enough for the 6 of us. It was nice that sides were part of the entrees and not something we needed to order separately. Everyone enjoyed their fish and the sides complemented each. The only disappointment was the gnocchi that accompanied the pork shops. Neither of the two students that ordered it felt that it added anything to the dish. Desserts were also very large and could be shared. We will return."

  • "Two of us got the open face brisket sand which and it was completely flavorless and dry. We told the server and he was apologetic and took both off the menu. The house salad dressing was also totally flavorless. The appetizer, truffle cream cheese wontons, were tasty but had little to no cream cheese inside, which was peculiar. The red velvet cake was dry. We maybe were there on a bad day, but so many of the things our party ordered were bland. The service was very good and courteous, though, on the bright side. However, I doubt we willbe back."

  • "My husband and I had planned a date night away from our son and we're looking for a place with great steaks, seafood, and other options. This place was wonderful! We had put on our reservation that we needed GF options and they had so many options to choose from! They had lamb, steak, salmon, and many other meat options along with mashed potatoes, polenta, and other options and sides that were GF. I was not used to having so many options to choose from. Food, wine and service was great. I would definitely go back again."

  • "Appetizers tried were the truffle baked brie with a honey glazed arugula and the seafood ceviche. The brie was absolutely the creamiest and tastiest I've had--loved the truffle oil crust. My husband had the ceviche and thought it wasn't as spicy as he normally likes, but enjoyed the mix of flavors anyway. The entrees, recommended by our server, were also delicious. The plum braised lamb shank was fall-off-the-bone tender and tasty. Hubby had the roasted halibut which he felt was as good as the fresh ones he's had in Alaska! The bacon macaroni and cheese and the chinese green beans were tasty as well. Topped it all off with the creme brulee and salted caramel coffee. YUM! Service: OUTSTANDING!"

  • "For entrees, I had the NY Strip, cooked Medium rare - which was wonderfully prepared. It was paired with asparagus & au gratin potatoes. The Strip was topped with onion strings, which was a nice touch. I couldn't ask for a better dinner. My wife also had a great dinner experience. She ordered the the Guinness Short Ribs. It came with a side of carrots and mashed potatoes whipped with goat cheese. Yum! I tried a bite of all of these items (lucky me!) and this dish was "Awesome"! Lastly, we ordered wine with dinner - and lucky for us, apparently Tues and Saturday's are "half price bottle" night. Overall, our experience was excellent. We will definitely return for dinner another time in the near future and recommend to friends and family."

  • "Great location downtown MSP, we parked in the City Center ramp and walked over via the skyway, not having to go out in the February snow and cold. Dinner was fabulous and portions were large, our waiter was very cool, and 1/2 price bottles of wine on Saturday nights was a steal!! Just a block from the theatre district, it all made for a simple, delicious, fun girls night out! Can't wait to come back with my husband for a special dinner."

  • "Our evening from start to finish was very nice. The only negative was the meal I ordered which was baked Halibut. It was very tough, while my wife's streak was excellent. We did Order Ceviche which was only Ok. I would say from our experience sea food would be this restaurants weakness. Everything else was great."
