Diner Reviews
  • "This was our first visit to Mirko. Have heard great things so had to try. Fresh, delicious food. Fusili with Funghi sauce was the evening fave. We live ~40min away so it won't be a "regular" spot for us, but we will be back!"

  • "I nearly call it a hole-in-the-wall stand-out... Hole-in-the-wall being positive and reminding me of my early trips to Sicily as a very young man. The Carpaccio was amazing(!)... the Caprese and Caesar both impeccable--all in presentation and taste. Bread, terrific; white bean spread even more so. The Zucca, a butternut squash dish, was delectable. My seafood--clams--pasta was good--perhaps a bit on the garlic, but to be expected. I've not had cannoli around here until now, and these were quality and very, very good. (And I have had plenty of amazing, little-ol'-woman-made cannoli.) They have 14 Hands and the Antinori SuperTuscan. Both great. All in all, amazing ingredients, nice atmosphere, friendly service, terrific value."

  • "this is my third visit and I've never had a bad meal here. Food is usually served very promptly. This night was slightly off service wise. I think they might have been short on the wait staff, as we had to wait much longer than usual for the initial greeting at the table. Lots of people were waiting and 3 tables and a booth were open in our section, but our waiter didn't need that many tables at once. A inconsolable baby in the back kept the atmosphere from being more pleasant. With the concrete floors and the industrial ceilings, the sounds was quite amplified. But over all, it was a great meal and we had plenty of time to eat and get to the symphony and not feel rushed."

  • "Found Mirko near where a business meeting ended, so quickly made an Open Table reservation and walked into the restaurant. It was in a strip mall, so I wondered a bit if the reviews were a bit skewed. Bread was served with a hummus and oil dip, not highly seasoned but a good idea for something other than the traditional oil and parm. Couldn't decide between two entrees and wait staff suggested the butternut squash ravioli. It was absolutely delicious, rich and filling. Service was excellent, some issues with kids running around that evening, but seemed to be an unusual occurrence. I am sure I could have moved had I asked. Great place, is in my rolodex for return visit."

  • "Mirko Pasta has quickly become my go=to place for Italian. The menu has a variety of standard Italian items with a few specials added in and all at half the price - or less - than other restaurants that consider themselves more upscale. I say that because the service at Mirko Pasta is as good or better than I've experienced elsewhere. Eating there is a good experience and I recommend it."

  • "I went to Mirko Pasta with my parents for Valentine's day and had one of the best evenings. The backs of the booths are so tall that it creates such a pleasant environment to have conversation. My father decided that he wanted to go all out and order everyone a four course meal. IT WAS AMAZING. They first gave us bread and a speciality bean dip. The bread is not the hallowed out bread that many places give, it is thick all the way through and very dense. Next, we had spinach artichoke dip with little baked bread, followed by caesar salads. Next was our meal. We each ordered something different and tried a little of each others. I am still trying to finish up the left overs three days later. Finally, we had delicious tiramisu."

  • "I would like to take a moment to give a round of applause to the staff here. I'm very needy. I'm basically 4 years old. However, the wait staff was very happy, friendly, and knowledgable. They went above and beyond assisting me with my Valentine's Day and my date was most impressed with the whole experience. That's really all that matters. The food was very good and the portions were very generous for the price. That is always a plus for me, because I'm a lardo (rotund or dumpy, if you will). So if you're like me, then this is the pasta palace for you!"

  • "Enjoyed a great deal for Valentines day and the food was wonderful! Couldn't complain about anything. The service was great as well. Never an empty drink, and anything we needed was there pronto. Great prices and again, awesome food. Try it!! :)"

  • "Although the food was ok, the service was horrible. Very slow to get refills on anything. The waiting staff disappears for the longest time. No one came to ask how was the food. Overall, pretty horrible experience."

  • "Everyone should try Mirko Pasta. You will be absolutely delighted and you'll want to make a return visit. The food was excellent, the service spot on, and the waiter was most helpful in describing dishes and making recommendations."

  • "This just is the Italian food. Go for the food. Service was meglio too! Wine list is meh, but asked for the special and they offered me a nice bottle of Rosso blend 2011 for 20 bucks...tasty! One dinner is enough for two people. We had two starters and two dinners between 4 people and took lots of real Italian food home...still. If you like American-mall-style salty "Italian"...this is not your style. Come here and begin to change your average Americanism...go Meglio!!!"

  • "This is the best, most authentic Italian food this side of the Atlantic. The décor is rustic and comfortable. If you are looking for linen table clothes and leather booths, this is booths, this is ain't it. Lots of wood, black and white photos on the walls and cool little lanterns on the table. We felt comfortable in blue jeans and khakis. Service was attentive and not overbearing. Started with calamari - perfectly done (not greasy and not too much breading). I had lobster/shrimp ravioli and my wife had butternut squash filled ravioli. Both dishes immediately brought back memories of out time in Italy. Nothing in the US compares to this. LOVED THIS PLACE"

  • "My husband and I ate here on a Saturday night. I was really hopeful that it was going to be a fancier, Italian restaurant. We didn't have to wait very long for a table at all. That was nice but when we were finally seated, we were seated at a tiny area in which there was not any arm room to move. TINY! It was extremely noisy and at times I felt as if I was having to scream at my husband just so he could hear me. It was not the romantic style atmosphere that I had hoped for at all. The food was not so good either. My spaghetti tasted like a lean cuisine entree and my husband couldn't even eat his. It was not too expensive thank goodness. I will finish by saying that it just wasn't for us. We wanted a quieter and romantic type atmosphere."

  • "This was my second trip and no one was disappointed with the food or service. Both were great. Great selection of pastas and sauces that were The only drawback was we had a party of 5 and were seated in a boot right outside the kitchen entrance which could be a problem for some. The booth was spacious and just right for our party but the view was lacking. It was really amazing how quiet it was given our location. Our waiter, Jeff, was outstanding and non-intrusive which should be the goal of any waitstaff. He was there when we needed something but did not hover. Good job. Can't wait to go again."

  • "While I prefer to dine at locally owned places, this is one place I will continue to support. Great pasta and great prices!! The service is efficient and pleasant. In fact I took a friend to lunch there today after my first experience just last Saturday. The only thing that could get on my nerves is the noise level and I believe that is caused in large part to the industrial design (which I like)."

  • "Nice Italian place in strip mall near airport. Has usual array of pizzas, pastas, salads and Italian sandwiches. Small bar area. Outdoor dining faces the busy parking lot. Very attentive wait staff. Good place for lunch."

  • "For anyone who loves pasta this is a must visit. The service was excellent and the cost was very reasonable for the quality. If you are looking to pay for over the top ambiance (which I'm not) this is not the place. But for the best freshly made pasta I've had in Nashville this is the place!!!!!"

  • "I was disappointed in your Caesar. What's with the mayonnaise- like dressing? No anchovies? No zing. The romaine was old. The parmasean flakes were so mild in flavor. Nice wait staff. Didn't like the lighting. House wine is Rex Goliath and Beringer???? How about Italian table wine???chianti? My sauce was a pomodoro, eggplant and ricotta thing that really was a bit bland. My fiancee's ravioli was great..the butternut squash thing...nice..the highlight of the night. The free white bean, olive oil and rosemary was fine, a bit bland. The timing of our entrees was off. We hadn't finished our salads, then they we're put on the table. They got cold. I think there were two tables in the restaurant Monday night. . Average, corporate all around."

  • "The Food: Authentic Italian. This is not your typical chain Italian restaurant. This is authentic Italian. Homemade bread, pasta, sauces, salad dressing. Even the Cesar salad dressing is homemade (the right way - with actual anchovies)! If you are used to Americanized Italian food, you are in for a treat here! I could not have enjoyed it more! Also had nice, thoughtful wine list and Peroni on tap! The Service: Wonderful wait staff! Knowledgeable about pasta, pairing pasta with the right sauce, and wine pairings. Attentive but not overbearing. Great job! The Scene: Rustic and comfortable. Really loved it."

  • "My husband and I were celebrating my promotion at work so we thought we would try this restaurant and we were pleased. The wine was great and the ravioli yummy. The prices are reasonable as well so we didn't spend a fortune and still had more than enough to eat. We will be back and highly recommend."
