A word from Miramar
Miramar Bistro combines the traditional French bistro with flair from Havana; from traditional Cuban sandwiches to steak frites, the menu is always fresh and seasonal. Service is friendly and thorough and the ambiance will take you back to 1920 Havana. The French doors open to the sidewalk patio and lend to al fresco dining both for lunch and dinner.   • "Miramar has quickly become my new favorite restaurant. The food is always outstanding and the service is impeccable. I can always count on a delicious meal. The seafood choices are perfectly seasoned and cooked. The portions are a good size, not small like at some restaurants. All the servers are assigned specific jobs, and they are on top of their game. Our water glasses, were always full and when we asked for more of a particular kind of bread, it was brought to us right away. A neighborhood gem!"

  • "Miramar staff seems to think the place is a lot better than it is. The dishes were very overpriced yet tasty but the service was poor. Both the caesar and vinagrette salads we ordered literally had their dressing forgotten and then the waiter acted inconvenienced to rectify it. The cheese plate was expensive and not nearly as good as many others I've had. Our entrees were tasty but the savory crepes were a tiny potion. All in all too pretentious and expensive. We'll never go back nor recommend it to others."

We are having such a good time that we are oblivious to other tables around. The service is friendly and personable. It is such a welcoming place and romantic, cozy.   • "We were greeted by Gabriel like old friends, even though we had never dined at Miramar before. The service staff was knowledgeable, friendly and bent over backwards to ensure our dining experience was delightful. Our food was spectacular starting with the paper thin sliced smoked salmon appetizer and Gabriel’s House Specialty, a combination of a light fluffy pasta like crepe filled with spinach and served with a light parmesan sauce. Our entrees included a steak with black peppercorn sauce and pomme frites, cooked perfectly, and the roasted scallops with oyster mushrooms, also cooked to perfection, making Miramar our new favorite."

  • "We have visited Mirimar every year for our Anniversary. This trip; however, was such a disappointment that we will not be back. I requested a seat away from the windows & doors; we were seated away from the front door but near the window in the back room that was freezing (the restaurant was 1/2 empty). We ordered 1 mussels appetizer (that was wonderful) but they brought 2. I ordered a cheese & herb crepe special that was tiny (and I don't eat much), gloppy and tasteless. My husband's roast chicken was good, but not great. We were not offered any vegetable. The waiter disappeared our entire dinner- when they took our plates I commented on my dish and they didn't care that I couldn't eat it. Overall, not a good experience and a waste of $$."

  • "We came to Miramar for my son's 23rd birthday. The food was delicious and any requests for sauces/dressing on the side was done correctly. We had oysters as a starter - they were very good but overpriced for what you get. We had to ask for our server a couple of times so I rated the service lower. I think he had a large party and gave them most of his attention. Would have been better if that was all he did so we weren't left waiting."

  • "This is the second New Year's Eve we have dined at Miramar! It has a cozy, European fee, the candles and lighting are perfect, price point and close to home, and the food is very good. The bread basket is exceptional! However, the champagne was subpar for a French bistro! Secondly, in a French bistro that is so totally French from the mirrors, to the subway title and light fixtures, to the open concept bread display to the gorgeous surface of the bar, where is the French soundtrack? We want to be totally transported to a real French bistro in the heart of one of those lovely neighborhood bistros in Paris!!! Please play some wonderful French music! It would only add to the charm of this very special place!"

  • "I brought my boyfriend to Miramar for his birthday dinner and we had a great time! We shared a cheese & fruit plate along with a casear salad- both were delicious, especially the cheese! Could not get over how delicious they were. We each chose seafood entrees, and we both really loved mine- the salmon. I can't stop thinking about the sauce it was in! To finish the night we also shared a couple desserts and my favorite of the two was the creme brulee. I would definitely recommend Miramar to a friend and we can't wait to return!"

  • "The second time I dined at Miramar I remembered why I had not returned sooner. The food is incredibly greasy. The service was good. The waiter broke a water glass when he accidentally dropped a plate on it. He didn't clean up the puddle of water nor did he replace the broken glass until we pointed it out to him. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy since it was a Wednesday night. I do like the ambience, though. And, it was very inviting when the Executive Chef shook our hands when we walked into the restaurant. I just wish the food wasn't so slippery. Please try to be more health conscious."

  • "A fun and relaxed feel is obvious upon arrival. Miramar is a French/Cuban bistro which offers the classic flavors of both cultures. Old-world charm with upbeat music and staff makes this suburban bistro feel more like a city borough favorite. Good wine options, and excellent cocktails. Our appetizer was the mussels in white wine, and they did not disappoint. Lamb shank is succulent and flavorful with whipped potatoes. Scallops are well prepared and fresh. For dessert we had homemade toffee (awesome!) and the most unique and wonderful tiramisu which is more of a parfait. Try it – you’ll like it."

  • "Even if you are not a steak eater, this restaurant serves superb fish. The salmon with horseradish sauce is some of the best prepared salmon in the area. The serving plate was HOT when served. The salad nicoise with tuna sashimi was excellent, although a bit skimpy on the tuna. Very few restaurants serve cold artichokes as an appetizer. If you know how to eat one, it's deliciously prepared. The waiter even shared the artichoke recipe."
