We really enjoyed our meal at
Miradora. The menu does not have the usual items on it and our meals were superb. My husband had the duck lasagna and I had the chicken and we both really enjoyed them. The presentation of the meals was lovely. The service was exceptional. We look forward to going back to Miradora in the summer to enjoy the view as well as another meal. We also plan to make a visit for one of their outdoor concerts. Miradora is an hour away from us, but we'd make the trip again in a heartbeat!"

Wonderful food, great service and
great ambience. The 4 of us ordered something different - steak, ham in hay, pizza and I had albacore tuna with sweetbreads. The sweetbreads were fantastic! I don't know when I have every enjoyed them more (and I order them a lot). Everyone raved about their meal."

Thank you for a wonderful family
dinner occasion -everyone was most satisfied -all the dinners were very delicious."

There were six in the group. Two of
us ordered the special, soup and pizza. The soup was wonderful but the pizza came burned in a few ares. Not acceptable. These were replaced but not with all the ingredients that were mentioned. The replacement ones were very good though. The four other orders were much enjoyed. The service was very good. We all enjoyed the wine."

We shared a few plates and the
food and wine were fantastic. Pizzas were delicious. The scenery is outstanding. Great addition to the winery!"

Our server (and helper) was so
friendly and attentive. She helped to make our dining experience a memorable one. The food was outstanding. Were vegetarian so shared the homemade pasta with heirloom tomatoes and pizza with 4 cheeses including grana padano. We also shared a salad first with greens from the local farm which was the best salad ive ever had! the wine of course was perfect we chose the merlot. this was our last night of our vacation and having dinner at Miradoro was a perfect ending. Thank you!"

Mirador is set on the hill
overlooking the Okanagan Valley on the grounds of beautiful Tinhorn Creek Winery. It's a new, beautiful modern design building. The service was very good and the food beautifully presented. The menu is interesting with a good variety and our food was very well prepared. Pricing was fairly standard for that type of restaurant and meal."

Had the lamb. It was tasteless,
very tough, The knife they gave me to cut the meat wasn't sharp enough to get threw the stringy fat. Very disappointed. Im a local in Oliver and try to support local restaurants. Sorry Miradoro, that's strike two. My wife and I wont be back."

The wife and I stayed at a Tinhorn
Creek guest suite which we won on at a charity auction. We went to Miradoro for dinner on Saturday night and really enjoyed ourselves. The restaurant is funky and has a great view. The food and wine were excellent and the service was great. Do not try to show up without a reservation though (even if the sign on HWY 97 says open)...they often host private functions and will not go out of the way to accommodate drop ins."

Miradoro has a great patio
overlooking the valley. We were unfortunate to have a thunderstorm blow through during the lunch hour, but the service staff was great at accommodating everyone inside (chairs were blowing around outside!). Grilled cheese was great but the salad left something to be desired. Great lunch specials though; next time I'll stick with one of those."

Incredible view and great menu but
the restaurant could use a lesson in customer service. After waiting a very long time for our entree, and seeing other guests next to us receive their entree before us, even though they ordered after us, we were told that the grill "went out" and they were waiting for it to restart. We were offered an apology and brought a dessert. If you are truly a guest service focused restaurant, a manager would have come by and offered a reduction of the bill or an offer of a dessert -- one that we could have chosen."

My Penticton friend and I brought
our friend to lunch - she has travelled all the way from London to visit our valley. We had a wonderful time ordering three different dishes and sharing a sample of each. Loved the Grilled Cheese and roasted olives. We ate, we drank a bottle of fine wine and talked about life and our valley. Thank you for providing a great locale, delicious food and vine to complete our day. Yasmin John-Thorpe Penticton"

Absolutely wonderful location and
view.................unfortunately the fine dining experience never happened. The staff were very inattentive, bordering on bored with the job idea, poorly trained, no service skills and wandered off mid sentence!!!! The salad was superb, but everything went downhill from there. The quail lacked any redeeming factors and the main course, lamb was the worst I have ever had..........very tough and no taste. I would recommend this restaurant for the wine and view only. don't waste your money on the indifferent expensive food!!!!!!!!!!"

Perhaps we hit this acclaimed
restaurant on an off night. There were a few large parties, loud happy birthday singing (most high quality restaurants don't do this any more - they are more discreet). The food was poor value and didn't match the seemingly interesting preparations. The polenta dish sounded great - am still wondering what happened to the olive & cabbage sauce - or was that those streaks of dark and red coloured decoration on the plate? Hmmm... Wines were good and again expensive by the glass for a winery restaurant. Service was OK but the visit to our table from the Manager was very obviously just an obligatory one. All round very disappointing. May or may not recommend to a friend."

Love the patio with it's valley
view. We had the 3 course tasting menu, ravioli soup very tasty, pork loin with gnocchi very nice but the Meat was overlooked, apple cake was to big, dry and lacked flavour (more fruit would be nice). It was still a great evening and we will go back to try other dishes. The staff was very efficient, but besides clean up and water I prefer one server per table. Still two thumbs up!"

Nothing can compare to the view at
this lovely spot. Our lunch was well-presented with efficient & friendly service. I had hoped for something more creative in the way of sandwiches On the menu. Because Truly, grilled cheese & meatball sandwiches can be prepared Like this almost anywhere. Enough said."

Our personal favourite! A
fantastic combination of great food and spectacular scenery. We have recommended this restaurant to a great many people and received thanks for the suggestion."

Very much enjoyed my time there.
Service was great and very attentive. Thank you also for the free tasting of the Cab Sauv that I highly talked about."
Dined on 9/5/2013
Our extremely rude welcome by the
hostess pretty much set the mood for the evening. My salmon was good, but the dish was a little lacking in vegetables. My husband's wild boar carbonara was bland and chewy. The service was scattered but luckily we were out of there pretty quickly as we were no longer in the mood to be there."

Booking online is a bonus, the
whole experience was great worth the drive from Penticton."

Had a wonderful meal at Miradoro.
Our first visit and we will definitely return. Service was good, especially from the supporting staff members (had to pick up a bit of slack for our waiter). Restaurant is gorgeous and the view is outstanding."

Just returned from a culinary
weekend adventure in th Okanagan and was disappointed by the service and food at Miradoro. We read great reviews of the restaurant in Vancouver magazine, but I don't understand what the fuss is all about. While our server was very nice, it was slow and sloppy. The main course that was served as part of the tasting menu was misquoted and we were seved elk or. instead of pork, which seems difficult to confuse. The charred paprika octopus was the star dish and worth ordering again. The carbonara was disappointingly cold and bland. Lovely views, but this restaurant is not worth the drive if you are not staying closeby."

Every time I'm in the Okanagan I
make a point of going to Miradoro. Even though the view alone is worth going to this restaurant, the food is absolutely fantastic. If you love true Italian-style pizza you won't be disappointed. I can never finish an individual, so I split it with one of my teens and have a starter salad. Excellent service too!"

Wonderful atmosphere , amazing
view from patio. Service was excellent. I had the chefs 3-course dinner with wine pairings, would definitely recommend. They also have winery cost off-sales at the entrance, very convienient."

With special guests from Kelowna
our luncheon was most enjoyable. They were impressed with the location --scenery, food and service, and we managed to be finished before the Storm struck!"

We had a wonderful dining
experience, the food was fantastic, the ambiance is great, and we enjoyed the outdoor concert. The wine was also very nice."

My husband and I visited Miradoro
during our stay in Osoyoos. From the time of booking to the meal itself, it was an absolute pleasure, with an email confirmation and a reminder a couple of days in advance. I have several allergies, and the kitchen and wait staff were well prepared and took extra care with my meal, making recommendations that would be in line with my food limitations. My husband had the chef's tasting menu with matching wines. I had the hierloom tomato salad and steak main with an absolutely beautiful salsa verde, also going with the wine recommendations which were spot on. Fabulous experience from a great crew. highly recommended!"

Good place for family to meet, and
enjoy good food and very good service. The wine was delicious too! Lovely atmosphere, a bit windy, but we can't help that!"
Dined on 8/20/2013
We had high hopes, but were very
disappointed. Started out great, we were seated outside at a great table. Then went downhill from there. The service was terrible. Our waiter took forever, and they were not that busy, so I do not understand why. We never were asked how we were, never poured more than the first glass of water, had our plates in front of us for a very long time (I almost got up and cleared out table myself). The food was not expected. Tasted as if it had been sitting on a counter all evening. The chefs in the kitchen didn't look older than 18, and didn't look happy being there. We didn't even bother to order dessert, because we'd already been there too long, and didn't want to wait another hour just to get the bill."
Dined on 8/22/2013
This restaurant was a
recommendation from a friend who is a "foodie". It lived up to its reputation. Everything was perfect. We would have preferred to sit outside (which was offered) and have the view however it was a bit too noisy so we sat inside. Which worked out very well. The view from the patio is outstanding. The wine that we had was excellent."
Dined on 8/19/2013
Great view, very good food, very
nice setting. Nice wine choices with food. Very friendly staff. That's the good news. Bad news: Understaffed and inattentive service. Waited 27 minutes to have food order taken. With 7 people at our table, 2 of them waited one hour and 50 minutes for their meals. Repeat: ONE HOUR AND 50 MINUTES. We understand understaffing problems and perhaps waiter-to-kitchen communication, but there was never an effort to resolve or mitigate the damage. After one hour and 50 minutes, we would have expected that last meal to be comp'd or some other resolution. We spent 2.5 hours there for a meal that should've taken 1.5. Hopefully this was an isolated incident, as all other attributes were very nice."

The view at this restaurant is
completely outstanding! Its a gorgeous spot overlooking vineyards as far as the eye can see. On a warm summer evening, it could not have been more lovely. Service was a bit spotty, and there seemed to be 3-4 different servers assisting at various times - a little disjointed and inconsistent. It was LOUD though, as we were seated next to two large tables each celebrating something or other, and they were so loud that even the server (one of them anyway) offered to move us to another table. The absolute best part of the meal, was the meal! chef Jeff Vangeest is a genius. I had the halibut which was absolutely perfect. The wines were wonderful as well. I can't wait to go back."
Dined on 8/17/2013
You'd think that a grilled cheese
sandwich would be fairly prosaic, meant for kids and not foodies. But you'd be wrong if you thought that about the grilled cheese sandwich at Miradoro. It was divine, from the crispy hot bread to the perfectly melted cheese and onions -- or was it fruit chutney? Yum."

Great restaurant, fantastic food,
exceptional location and view, excellent service. Will go back next year for sure!!!!"
Dined on 8/7/2013
Chef Jeff's food continues to
amaze, but the service has gone decidely downhill as compared with previous years. The wine list could also be improved, but the biggest problem is the service - servers need to be trained well so that they can explain the wonderful cuisine the Chef has created and the wine list. On our visit, our server was very inexperienced, did not know the wine list or menu and got our orders wrong. The food, however, was great and the view was gorgeous, making it a wonderful evening despite the service. One of us is a local who experienced not great food and bad service at lunch the week before - note to management: improve before you start to lose customers."

We visited Miradoro for the first
time last Friday night. When we arrived the restaurant was packed. We were seated inside as the patio was full. Service was slow, but they were obviously very busy. The restaurant was hot and stuffy (even with the patio doors open, the weather outside was hot and no breeze. The food was excellent and the wine was very good as well. We will be back, just not on a busy Friday night!"
Dined on 8/10/2013
I had the chef's three course
dinner tasting menu with his selection of three white wines - 3 oz. each. What a great idea that is to give guests a small taste of three different wines. The meal was superb! Began with the summer squash with battered zucchini flowers. Amazingly good! The main was a halibut and salmon chorizo with lentils, beans and grilled green onions. Again amazing. The dessert was a free moulded cherry tart with some other fruit in - was it rhubarb with a delicious cream concoction on top - this with coffee ended a delicious meal. The view is superb, and we will go again when on our next wine buying tour."
Dined on 8/8/2013
The Okanagan is making great
strides with new restaurants; quality of food; overall ambience but the one area that continues to lag is service. This place is no exception. Very slow, inattentive and lack of knowledge of the day's menu. For the price paid, it's time fee restaurant invested in training and good people. I'm staying optimistic."
Dined on 8/10/2013
Been there with my wife, the view
is simple outstanding and the food is too Great choice of wine and the cusine has a lot of Italian influences (been an Italian myself) I can reccomend the quality Did I mention the spectacolar view?"
Dined on 8/6/2013
We had dinner there during August
long weekend and were very disappointed by the quality of the food. Most of the meals were way to salty. We even had to give back a plate of Octopus which was overcooked. The chicken soup was very good though. I would not recommend to go there for the food as it is quite pricey but the view was great."
