  • "I like the restaurant very much. Everyone tries hard and over all the food was very good. Some of us had the sea bass though it was hard to distinguish the sea bass in the dish. Maybe putting the fish on top of the pasta would have been better. Overall I think it is one of the best restaurants in the area. Enjoy"

  • "Booked this restaurant after reading the reviews on OpenTable and Yelp. My husband ordered the pork chop and it was a 5 star dish. My daughter and I both ordered pasta and happy to say it was prepared to perfection. The pace was pleasant. We didn't feel rushed, although several parties were waiting. The place is small and intimate, yet the ambient noise allowed us to have conversation without being overheard. Order the limoncello tiramisu... it melts in your mouth! We noticed quite a few "regulars" the owner and wait staff obviously know on a personal level. Whenever I see this interaction it speaks volumes to the return customer-base. We'll definitely return for special occasions."

  • "I had read the reviews, but..... you know how that goes.... Well, the reviews were right. Our server was delightful and informative. I took her suggestion regarding my menu selection, and loved it! It was a delightful evening."

  • "Wonderful gem of a place! Food and service was excellent. Waitress was very pleasant, attentive, and offered great suggestions on wine and food. Great place for a quiet dinner. Ravioli and watercress salad were very flavorful. Will definitely be back again."

  • "Everyone (he double-dated) liked the atmosphere. My son loved the food and said he could go there over and over. Everyone else thought the food was spicy. Overall, a good experience."

  • "We really enjoyed our meal. We started with salads. They had a new salad with raspberries that was very good. I then had the lasagna and took half home. My husband had a trout special that he said was cooked perfectly. My son had a pasta with sausage that he said was really good too. We will most likely be back."

  • "Unique neighborhood Italian eatery which provided excellent service, and a personal visit to our table from the owner/ head chef. This was our first visit, but was recommended by a friend. The inside of the restaurant was tight on space and maximized for tables. The food was very tasty, and the wine selection process was very helpful. Mio's is worth a visit."

  • "Food is delicious, as is the service. Tables are a bit close together, but OK. Would like to see whole wheat/grain pasta as an option. Thanks!"

  • "My wife had the lamb and the fries were cold. Sent it back and it was better. Manager and server apologized. My pork chop was okay, not great. Maybe the food had set in the window too long. Didn't seem like it was that busy because of the weather warning so the server wasn't swamped, Have also had better tiramisu in town. The wine she recommended was good!"

  • "We enjoyed an evening here with another couple recently. Good food. Bread was not memorable, more like pita than Italian bread. Good service and reasonable noise level, easy to converse. The scallops were tasty but beware, alot of slivered garlic in the dish. The chocolate, caramel, macadamia nut dessert was fantastic. We will likely return."

  • "I deeply enjoyed the ambience of mios trattoria. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was good. Although it was a much too crowded restaurant then I had hoped. Being in such a small room out was loud and fairly uncomfortable to being sitting so close to strangers."

  • "Restaurant is quite small. Once it gets filled with people, can be quite noisy. Wine selection is fair if ordered by the bottle. By the class selection is poor. Food service was a little slow, but quite good. I would try again"

  • "I looked up the word "Trattoria" and it's basically italian for "casual dining place". I was like "Cool, it's got good reviews and it's not overly formal, sounds great!". Plus, I really liked the deal they had for Valentines Day, which was only $65 for a 5 course meal. That was good considering other restaurants were steeper for less. I went there with my girlfriend and kept my expectations moderate just to be safe but I was pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere was great, very romantic, our waitress was very nice and we both loved the great food! The bartender made my drinks well too, which was a bonus. I'd definitely go back and recommend to a friend."

  • "Food was great. My rigatoni al sugo di agnello e manzo was outstanding. My husband's linguine alla bolognese was very good but could have used more spice. House salad was good. Tiramisu was quite good and bread pudding was wonderful! We will be back!"

  • "I made reservations for my wife & I on Valentine's Day and we both ordered the Valentine's Day 5 - course special. Very nice option and the setting was fun...very old school Italian with lots of 2 - tops placed next to each other. Our service was great and the atmosphere was great for the evening."

  • "Was able to get a last minute reservation to celebrate Valentines Day with wife. We both wanted a place neither of us had tired before. And what a choice it was. Mio was fantastic. The food was excellent from the appetizer to the main course. My wine experience is limited to domestics, so the 100% Italian wine list was a bit intimidating - No worries, our waiter (Matt) was the best. We simply told him what we planned as a meal and Matt did the rest with a unbelievable wine recommendation. Fantastic pairing. Did I mention that Matt was excellent? Bottom line, Mio didn't disappoint and was a perfect choice for the wife and I. Looking forward to getting back there soon."

  • "The food was so-so. Was not hot and was microwaved before serving. Salads had no taste. Very bland. The service was very slow due to lack of servers. The tables were bumper to bumper, only about a foot apart. It was hard to move through the restaurant. The servers had to stand side ways to service people. There was no privacy at all since the tables were too close together. It was like being in a sardine can."

  • "Slow service. Waiter was obviously over taxed. Asked to leave, so that table could be filled."

  • "Julian Viso knows how to cook authentic Italian. The soups are maybe the best in town. My favorite dish is the pork chop - lots of complex flavors."

  • "We had a delightful evening meal. Our waiter, a real pro, was well versed on the menu & able to make entree recommendations based our described likings. He started us off with some warm bread & dipping oil - best in town. I enjoyed the house salad with lemon vinaigrette dressing - light and crispy with a variety of garden ingredients - my wife was a little more adventuresome and ordered the watercress salad with Dijon vinaigrette dressing - she was very pleased. For entrees we had the Linguine alla bolognese & the Rigatoni pasta w/ lamb & beef ragout. Both poured out with wonderful flavors. We switch plates half way through so as to sample both. Dessert was bread pudding, which also burst with flavors. Great Place and reasonable!"

  • "As I've said before, Mios is the best Italian for miles around. I also go expecting a fabulous meal and exemplary service and my whole experience is always way beyond my expectations. If you even think about Italian, this is the place to go. I'm high maintenance and they always bring my drinks and my food exactly as I ordered. BON VIVANT, Bill McKee"

  • "First time there. Since we were meeting primarily for business my guest and I dined early and thought perhaps we had made a poor choice since it was so quiet at 6 PM. But things picked up nicely and the food & service confirmed that we had made a fine choice. Our server was very knowledgeable & helpful and paced things quite nicely. While we were seated in the middle of the dining room, it did not become too noisy for business conversation and we were able to get everything accomplished we had planned. Will go back for more casual experience I am sure."

  • "real Italian restaurant with a real chef. Not a chain. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Food was hot, good portions and very delicious. We were there in the late afternoon, 3pm, so it wasn't very busy. I could see where it would be cramped and probably noisy if it was full. The chef came out to see how we were doing. Several stores down they have their sister place, a pizza and gelato restaurant. We say them pull out dozens of beautiful large red peppers from the oven ready to be skinned. We asked and were told that they produce everything in house. The gelato is imported from Italy. Our server from the full restaurant side gave us some $5 off coupons for the pizza side."

  • "We tried Mio for lunch on Restaurant Week and selected from that menu. The room is nicely decorated but not particularly spectacular. There's a bar along one side, with tables and booths filling the room. They have a clever airlock entry so the cold air doesn't rush in on the diners. Both of us had lasagna and a green salad with strawberries, nuts and feta (I think). Both were delicious -- the lasagna was served in a ramekin and the portion was more than enough (I took some home). For dessert we had a puff pastry fruit tart, also delicious. We will be back!"

  • "We have eaten at Mio's about a dozen times. The food is consistently excellent. My only disappointments have been when I ordered something not to my taste. The steak is a hidden gem - tender but hearty. Ask about the temperature. Medium come out with a hot pink center just in the middle of the steak. That's just fine for me but tastes vary. The service staff are good to very good. The dining area is relatively small and when full is a bit noisy. Tables are close together. For weekends be certain to reserve a table."

  • "We arrived a little early for our reservation and seated almost 30 minutes after our reservation time.Other restaurants have offered us a drink on the house with a wait that long. There is no comfortable wating space;we kept having to move to make room for others leaving and arriving. When we were seated, the waiter didn't offer the restaurant week menu (I had to ask to see it). There was a long time between the appetizer and main dish. Our waiter seemed to play a 'character' and gave more attention to a group of five that was seated next to us. First thought: he'll get a bigger tip with that group. He did offer a dessert on the house when I commented that the salmon had a little too much oil.It will be a long time before we return; if at all."

The food was amazing- fresh and delicious! Our server was helpful, knowledgeable and attentive. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely return as well as recommend it to others."

  • "Loved my Saltimocca do Pollo alla Romana, and my guest enjoyed the pork chop with balsamic reduction sauce. Service was good. Table are close together so the noise level is a little uncomfortable, but manageable. Try this neighborhood gem and be delighted."

  • "This little gem has a great wine list, a nice menu executed beautifully and staff that is friendly and knowledgeable without being intrusive. The mushroom and gorgonzola soup is fabulous. I will go out of my way to visit this restaurant!"
