A word from MIMOSA
Mimosa is a casual French restaurant offering a fresh cuisine with Mediterranean accents.

Mimosa is named after the iconic flower of France's Provence. It's also a French drink made of sparkling wine and orange juice and is served at brunch every Sunday.

Enjoy some classics from Burgundy: Escargots, Gratinee Onion Soup to Roast Duck with fruits of season or try Filet Mignon that goes excellent with any choices of French and Californian wines.

You will also appreciate our salted or sweetened crepes and sandwiches for lunch. You may fall in love with our desserts: Creme Brulee, Cappuccino Truffle or 'Profiteroles au Chocolat'. Every day, there is a new soup, salad or pasta to make your experience more exciting.

With an early bird special, from 4 to 6pm, you can enjoy a full course meal including an appetizer, entree, dessert, and coffee or tea.

Enjoy this variety of flavors in a charming indoor setting or outside near our beautiful fountain!

Diner Reviews
  • "We dined here for our 1st anniversary and loved it. The owner happened to be our waiter for the evening and was very cordial. All the food was cooked to perfection. The wine list was a bit small, but then so is the menu so it was expected. The prices are high, but it was worth it. We had a wonderful time and look forward to dining again but to try the lunch menu!"

  • "We had the Seafood Crepes, which were excellent, as was the Creme Brulee. The manager (owner)? came out to greet us and asked if it was our first time at the restaurant (we had a Groupon). I thought that was classy. I would love to go back - but the prices may keep me from returning often."

  • "The first time we dined at Mimosa, the good and service were excellent! Brought a guest the second time for a special occasion. The food was still very good, but the service was definitely not up to standard. Not once were water glasses refilled. No one checked at any time me to see if we needed anything. We requested bread twice and were told it was in the oven. Finally, after soup, and halfway through the meal, we were given a basket of bread " fresh from the oven"....except that it was cold! We ordered coffee and dessert. About 10 minutes after we finished the coffee, the dessert arrived. The timing of the entire dinner was totally off! Since I had raved about Mimosa to our guest, I was embarrassed. Not planning a return visit!"

  • "The service was very poor and completely unorganized. We did not have one specific waiter/waitress, our order was taken by a manager/owner after we sat and waited 10 min. We then had just about every employee involved at least one time in serving us. The most helpful was a busser who asked if we wanted water after seeing us waiting at our table. The food was ok but not worth the aggravation of waiting to be served and not knowing who was supposed to be serving us. We wont be back to this one."

  • "We enjoyed our night out at this delightful restaurant. The food and service was excellent. We will be back."

  • "Not our first visit, food is excellent. Place was very busy on a Thursday night and they were short staffed. Other times service was quicker, we will try again."

  • "We went here for New Year's Eve. Bad mistake. The food was extremely expensive (it was $100/person for pre-fix) and was not very good. The Boeuf Bourguignon tasted like an entire bottle of salt was used for cooking. The filet mignon was decent, but all the other dishes, including the "French" onion soup was standard at best. I will give the Ratatouille the thumbs up though (wish I had just ordered a bowl of that). Don't even get me started on the "palate cleanser" or Limon green neon liquid in a bowl. The service took forever and the ambiance was terrible. The overall setup of the restaurant was open in an awkward way and the lighting was too bright - it was more cafe in the middle of the day than nice evening out."

  • "Food was solid, sharing salmon and a very large portion of lamb chops. Mushroom appy something different, quite tasty. Salad had a nice dressing on it. We did not have the $20.00 prix fix, although that is what seemed to be what most people ordered! Would definitely return, especially for lunch, having looked at the menu to see many different types of crepes!"

  • "Mimosa in the Polo Shoppes was delightful. Great food, great service and very small and nice. Different food items, so not the usual menu - very accommodating and helpful with changes. Delicious fish and yummy desserts! Would return soon. Hopefully they will last."

  • "Main dishes quite good -- onion soup not very flavorful. Disappointing considering the price. This restaurant needs a hostess at the front of the house. This was a second visit."

  • "After reading some nice reviews on Ooen Table, we selected Mimosa for our Vaentine's date night. It was so nice to arrive and be quickly seated along with prompt service. The food was very good and we will be returning soon."

  • "Food and service very good. Menu selections and portions were quite adequate for a French Restaurant. The Chilean Sea Bass and Salmon were delicious as was the salad. We would come back."

  • "very good value, especially with a groupon! good service and good food. it's a place where you can hold a converstion and catch all the words because you can hear!"

  • "My stuffed salmon and my husband's braised short ribs were very good. The escargot were very tasteless and I found that surprising for a French restaurant. I ordered creme brûlée and it came out burned twice! Again, very strange for a French restaurant. A lovely waitress."

  • "The food is very good, but I especially like the fact that the owner comes over and also waits on you when needed. He really adds to the ambience of his restaurant ."

  • "When we couldn't get reservations in the more popular restaurant among many at the strip shopping center adjacent to the Polo Club, we 'settled' for Mimosa. But were we surprised. Small, unassuming French restaurant with gracious attention by the servers. They don't rush and with the low noise level, we were actually able to relax over a glass of wine and have a conversation! The escargot were perfectly prepared - tender and floating in a heavenly garlic butter sauce. The duck was crisp and moist and the mussels were heavenly. Definitely worth a good recommendation and a return trip."

  • "Been there before and the mussels and onion soup were delicious. Came back for a 7:30 pm dinner and they were out of mussels and two other entrees! Even the onion soup was just ok. Apparently they ran out due to the early bird special popularity!"

  • "A versatile European-style restaurant. Good wines, good food and quiet enough to have a conversation. A rarity these days in mega sound places that blast you out of your seat."

  • "Tucked away in a strip mall, this charming French restaurant is a best kept secret. Excellent food and service in an intimate setting. Everyone enjoyed their food and we would come back here in a heartbeat."

  • "Excellent food, very European. Good service. We met the chef, a young woman from Europe. I have recommended the restaurant to several of my friends. They were very pleased."

  • "Tucked in a strip center. Bright and airy dining room. Friendly service. Bread should be warm. Wine list only a handful of bottles labeled by origin and varietal. I've never seen Chilean sea bass in a French restaurant before, nor brocolli. Not exceptionally memorable."
