A word from MIMOSA
Mimosa is a casual French restaurant offering a fresh cuisine with Mediterranean accents.

Mimosa is named after the iconic flower of France's Provence. It's also a French drink made of sparkling wine and orange juice and is served at brunch every Sunday.

Enjoy some classics from Burgundy: Escargots, Gratinee Onion Soup to Roast Duck with fruits of season or try Filet Mignon that goes excellent with any choices of French and Californian wines.

You will also appreciate our salted or sweetened crepes and sandwiches for lunch. You may fall in love with our desserts: Creme Brulee, Cappuccino Truffle or 'Profiteroles au Chocolat'. Every day, there is a new soup, salad or pasta to make your experience more exciting.

With an early bird special, from 4 to 6pm, you can enjoy a full course meal including an appetizer, entree, dessert, and coffee or tea.

Enjoy this variety of flavors in a charming indoor setting or outside near our beautiful fountain!

Diner Reviews
  • "The food was okay and the portions were small especially for the broiled salmon. The service was lackluster. The waitress came by to take beverage orders and said she would bring the bread out. Twenty minutes later we asked another waiter if we could get some bread. The waitress never cleared off the table and it took quite awhile for our check. Disappointed with the dining experience and the 4 of us will not return"

  • "The reviews on this site were good, so we made a reservation on a Saturday night at 7:30 - prime time. The restaurant was about 25% full. None of the vacant tables were even set up with tablecloths, napkins and silverware. No one was on the door to seat incoming patrons. So a small crowd gathered at the door area, including us. No one came to seat anyone. Some people left disgusted. We hung in there. Finally we were seated. The place was badly understaffed. Eventually our order was taken. I ordered the filet mignon for $32.00. It was absolutely tasteless. The potatoes and veggies were equally flat. This place is not worth a try. Bad across-the-board. It would seem that the owner does not expect to do much business. We get it."

  • "First time we were at Mimosa in Boca. We found the food to be above average; the manager, who also waited on, and cleared tables, and stopped by each table to make sure we were happy, was unusual - but terrific! The only "negative," which we find in most south Florida restaurants, was the air conditioning and fans. We never dine out "in season" because the snow birds don't mind being cold, and most restaurants "blast" their AC. We are not snow birds, and we feel that in the summer season, when the rest of us "all year round Floridians" dine out, we would like the air conditioning to be a bit less cooling."

  • "Perhaps because we aren't in season the restaurant was empty. The owner and/or manager and the staff were efficient and courteous but of course we were the only customers. I was looking forward to onion soup and an artichoke and found both to be underseasoned and very bland. My entree again was lacking seasoning. I was wondering if the restaurant appeals to those who prefer less salt and pepper and who are accustomed to blandness."

  • "Two couples went to dinner at Mimosa and we were all very pleased with our food. Three of us had salmon prepared three different ways and all were delicious. The fourth had tilapia and that was good as well. When I couldn't decide between two wines, our server brought me a tasting of both, which I greatly appreciated. We had not been back to Mimosa in a while, but I would certainly come back again!i"

  • "Mimosa Restaurant had delicious food and very good service. The fresh fish was done just right and the lamb chops were out of this world. Would definitely return for another meal."

  • "I had seen this restaurant a number of times as it is right next door to our grocery store where we shop at least weekly. Glanced at the menu and was intrigued. Then I saw a Groupon offer so I bought it. Took my family and in-laws for a post Mother's Day dinner and everyone enjoyed it! My mother-in-law even tried escargo! The food was fantastic and the owner did most of the serving. We'll be back!"

  • "Food was great, service was terrible BUT understandable for a Holiday. Servers were not experienced"

  • "Had been seeing adds about Mimosa and finally decided to try it. The food was far from impressive, especially for a French restaurant. The service was average at best, the "water boy" kept interrupting our conversation to ask if we need our water refilled (that should be an invisible for us action). The "server" (I believe was a manager) wasn't too involved and pretty slow especially considering that the restaurant at the time we were there was pretty empty. We had to request our dirty dishes to be cleaned out, even though there was personnel walking by our table for at least 10 minutes after we were finished eating. And in addition the prices were pretty steep for the quality of it all. Would not recommend this restaurant!"

  • "The sunset dinner was a good value. My husband had the short ribs which were tender and others at the table had duck, which was good. I had the tilapia and was disappointed in the preparation. It came with rice and I was surprised to see that it was white. I would think that rice in a French restaurant should be wild, or flavorful not like in a Chinese restaurant. The fish was bland with a lot of red sauce on top. The salads and soup as well as desserts were fine."

  • "The food was delicious, service attentive, ambience peaceful and menu, though not extensive, broad enough to satisfy even the most demanding diner. My husband and I see Mimosa as our go-to eatery for weekend dinner enjoyment. Everyone we've brought here has been impressed with the quality of the food and service. Highly recommended and very reasonably priced."

  • "We went with our coupon and ordered the price-fix dinner. We do not hear being told that we could not use the coupon on price-fix mea, just al a carte so we had to pay the prices .We will return and use the coupon next time. The food was wonderful."

  • "Our server Mindy was spot on with service and had a great personality. The food is equally as good - they offer some really unique dishes with that extra zing that differentiates it from the generic meals most restaurants offer. The ambiance was ok - i wish it had just a little more personality but it was peaceful/relaxing so no major complaints. I will definitely return."

  • "The waitress was and is (2nd visit confirmed the 1st) the highlight of the restaurant. I do not drink so i cant comment on wine list. However I will comment on the shortcomings of the menu and its preparation. My companion ordered a rack of lamb. It was impressive, with 4 double ribs, a large portion. It came with roasted potatoes. 3 out of the ribs were dry with little seasoning. the 4rth was delicious, well seared and seasoned. The roasted potatoes were just ok, somewhat underseasoned. I ordered Coq au vin. It was disgraceful. The same roasted potatoes were thrown in the stew (I mean roasted potatoes, not cooked within the stew which would be wrong anyway. The mushrooms seem to be canned, and worst i got 2 drumsticks. $30 bucks? Really?"

  • "We dined here for our 1st anniversary and loved it. The owner happened to be our waiter for the evening and was very cordial. All the food was cooked to perfection. The wine list was a bit small, but then so is the menu so it was expected. The prices are high, but it was worth it. We had a wonderful time and look forward to dining again but to try the lunch menu!"

  • "We had the Seafood Crepes, which were excellent, as was the Creme Brulee. The manager (owner)? came out to greet us and asked if it was our first time at the restaurant (we had a Groupon). I thought that was classy. I would love to go back - but the prices may keep me from returning often."

  • "The first time we dined at Mimosa, the good and service were excellent! Brought a guest the second time for a special occasion. The food was still very good, but the service was definitely not up to standard. Not once were water glasses refilled. No one checked at any time me to see if we needed anything. We requested bread twice and were told it was in the oven. Finally, after soup, and halfway through the meal, we were given a basket of bread " fresh from the oven"....except that it was cold! We ordered coffee and dessert. About 10 minutes after we finished the coffee, the dessert arrived. The timing of the entire dinner was totally off! Since I had raved about Mimosa to our guest, I was embarrassed. Not planning a return visit!"

  • "The service was very poor and completely unorganized. We did not have one specific waiter/waitress, our order was taken by a manager/owner after we sat and waited 10 min. We then had just about every employee involved at least one time in serving us. The most helpful was a busser who asked if we wanted water after seeing us waiting at our table. The food was ok but not worth the aggravation of waiting to be served and not knowing who was supposed to be serving us. We wont be back to this one."

  • "Not our first visit, food is excellent. Place was very busy on a Thursday night and they were short staffed. Other times service was quicker, we will try again."

  • "Food was solid, sharing salmon and a very large portion of lamb chops. Mushroom appy something different, quite tasty. Salad had a nice dressing on it. We did not have the $20.00 prix fix, although that is what seemed to be what most people ordered! Would definitely return, especially for lunch, having looked at the menu to see many different types of crepes!"

  • "Mimosa in the Polo Shoppes was delightful. Great food, great service and very small and nice. Different food items, so not the usual menu - very accommodating and helpful with changes. Delicious fish and yummy desserts! Would return soon. Hopefully they will last."

  • "When we couldn't get reservations in the more popular restaurant among many at the strip shopping center adjacent to the Polo Club, we 'settled' for Mimosa. But were we surprised. Small, unassuming French restaurant with gracious attention by the servers. They don't rush and with the low noise level, we were actually able to relax over a glass of wine and have a conversation! The escargot were perfectly prepared - tender and floating in a heavenly garlic butter sauce. The duck was crisp and moist and the mussels were heavenly. Definitely worth a good recommendation and a return trip."
    Dined on 1/11/2014
  • "My stuffed salmon and my husband's braised short ribs were very good. The escargot were very tasteless and I found that surprising for a French restaurant. I ordered creme brûlée and it came out burned twice! Again, very strange for a French restaurant. A lovely waitress."
    Dined on 1/11/2014
  • "Been there before and the mussels and onion soup were delicious. Came back for a 7:30 pm dinner and they were out of mussels and two other entrees! Even the onion soup was just ok. Apparently they ran out due to the early bird special popularity!"

  • "Went to celebrate friends birthday and was pleasantly surprised. Food well prepared and fresh. Made to order. Even veggy was cooked well and used fresh ingredients. Tried 4 different appetizers and all were excellent as well as the entrees of Chilean sea bass, frogs legs and duck. Chocolate cake a dream and crepe Suzette subtle and sweet. Definitely on my list of restaurants to revisit."
