  • "Milton's is a neighborhood gem. The food was good but not great. Service and view make up for the food. I had scallops over risotto. The scallops tasted perfectly done although I did miss the sear on each side. They were white on grey dry risotto with a pink/red drissle all over. We would recommend this restaurant."

  • "We have been going here for 3-4 years and We have never had a bad meal and the fried green tomatoes and peanut butter cake was unbelievable. Would recommend to any one."

  • "Neat 150 year old history and produce picked fresh from behind the restaurant led to a great start to our meal with fried okra and tomato bisque, both delicious. Our server Stephen was on point, friendly, knew the menu and even gave us a slice of chocolate peanut butter pie on the house to take home to try since it was our first visit, as we were stuffed. The veggie plate and sesame crusted trout were both wonderfully done, our only complaint was slight over salting on the food. Great wines, great ambience and great service. Live bands play outside too. A definite must if in the Alpharetta area!"

  • "My husband and I enjoyed and early dinner with exclusive service from the waitstaff. What a treat to talk about the garden and what was fresh on the menu. My shrimp and grits were wonderful!"

  • "Love the farm to table theme. We got a tour of the garden that they serve the food from... Really awesome staff and great cuisine...This was not just dinner, but an event. So impressed with the fusion of the dishes."

  • "Both of our entrees were incredibly fresh and very flavorful. We had a fantastic server and an amazing time. I definitely recommend this restaurant."

  • "Milton's for Sunday brunch is worth the drive (from Sandy Springs.) The food, from the complimentary beignets to the beautifully-prepared omelets, was outstanding. We dined inside and, because of the abundant use of beautiful wood surfaces, the noise level could get a little loud. It was somewhat challenging for my dining companion who has mild hearing impairment, but it was not unbearable. I especially liked that there was not music blaring over the ambient noise of the guests. Perhaps management should investigate installing sound-dampening materials, such as foam, beneath the chair seats. I have seen this work in other similar spaces. I look forward to attending some of their outdoor music and dining events soon!"

  • "After receiving great feedback from others who ate there, We were disappointed with the overall experience. They sat us right away with our 7pm reservation. The waitress recommended the Horse Neck libation which was tasteless and lacked any alcohol. For appetizers, we ordered the Southern Fried Pickles and pimento cheese dip. Both were just average. My wife did enjoy the shrimp and grits for her entree. I ordered the grilled petite filet mignon medium but it came out medium well and the meat wasn't very flavorful. For dessert, we ordered the carrot cake and bread pudding. Both were a disappointment especially since the waitress highly recommended it. The waitress also forgot my second order of drinks."

  • "We went to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful experience. We had a tour of the acre garden and were told not to rush eating! We hadn't been here before and will definitely come back with friends and family."

  • "We were looking for dinner with my father-in-law and had been wanting to try Miltons. It's a quaint farmhouse with old style charm. The staff was very friendly and Erin did a great job explaining the dishes. We had the crab bisque and a cucumber & heirloom tomato salad for appetizers and trout and filet mignon for entrees. We capped it off with carrot cake, chocolate-peanut butter mousse cake the turtle cheesecake. We each had drinks and the total bill came to just over $100. If we could pick a favorite part of the meal we would, but honestly, every aspect of our meal was superb, The freshness of the ingredients was obvious, and the steak and fish were cooked perfectly. One of our new favorite places and we can't wait to come back!"

  • "Some friends told us about this restaurant and we definitely agreed...a great find! We loved the ambiance of the farmhouse, the friendly staff and fabulous food. We wanted to eat on the patio and listen to live music but a wedding rehearsal party had taken over the patio. No problem - nice table inside and we all loved our food. Fresh zucchini crisps, fried green tomatoes, and gourmet grits were our starters. Each of us tried something different including crab cakes, pork loin, friend chicken and filet. All were delicious. Looking forward to next time...hopefully on the patio!"

  • "Took our friends from Dallas Texas for their 40th anniversary. The waiter made it special. They loved it! The place was very busy so the noise was loud, but we sat on the indoor porch where it was easier to visit."

  • "We really enjoyed our dinner with friends recently. Had only eaten there once before and it was as good as we remembered! The food was delicious; we had a wonderful summer evening dinner outside."

  • "Met some friends for long overdue get together.. We sat outside on patio, just down from the live entertainment. He was wonderful background, not too loud or overly intrusive. We were able to hear ourselves talk. The food was tremendous. I had the trout and it was fresh and delicious, with a generous portion, too much to eat at one sitting. Service was great also. We never had to look around for our waiter. He was knowledgable, very personable and attentive. We had a great evening."

  • "One of our favorite restaurants in the Alpharetta/Roswell area. Consistently good food, good service and friendly staff."

  • "This USED to be my favorite restaurant. For whatever reason, the food quality has declined over my last several visits. You know you have a problem when over 50% of the menu lists garlic as a key ingredient. Really? Garlic has it's place, but when you use it this much, it is just in the place of real flavor. Sadly, I am done with Milton's. Bistro VG is far cleaner and far more reliable food."

  • "I took my family to Milton's for brunch last Sunday. As usual, an outstanding meal. We mentioned interest in the garden out back where they grow their own vegetables. The manager took us on a tour through the garden and gave my family veggies we ate right from the vine."

  • "Made early reservation for 27th anniversary. Seated on-time, given menu and specials list. Wait-person (Victoria) was perfunctory and kind, superb recommendations on entrée, wine and dessert. She wasn't a fan of my after-dinner drink choice (Gran Marnier), but, no one's perfect. Sous chef (Brandon---son-in-law) came out to talk about the specials. GM (Nate) checked on us twice (very considerate). Had a great time and would recommend Milton's to anyone and everyone. Very much appreciated the on-line reservation service too."

  • "Was our anniversary was sat beetween two large parties so loud couldn't talk. Service was slow, food came my risotto was cold so didn't eat it. Fried green tomatoes and dessert were great. All in all we won't be back for next anniversary was really disappointing this time."

  • "Outstanding food, service, and ambiance, the whole package! This is a must visit place. We had the pork loin and it was heaven. Staff is among the friendliest you will find, from the wonderful man at valet, to Brian the waiter, these folks are not just well trained, they are genuinely nice and professional folks."

  • "We were visiting ATL and had not been to Milton's in 4-years so picked it for a special Father's Day Dinner. They had a special 3-course price fix menu. My wife enjoyed a wedge salad, grilled salmon over cheese grits w/grilled spinach and finished with Milton's version of bread pudding while I had the wedge salad the pepper encrusted grilled fillet with mashed potatoes and green beans finishing with carrot cake. Our server was a knowledgeable pro who answered all our menu and preparation questions. All the vegetables are locally grown. We really enjoyed learning about and dining in an early 20th century Southern farm house."

  • "We had a great time! My wife and I went there for a date night, and we were greeted with a smile, and the service only got better from there. There were a few minor hiccups with the kitchen, but the manager and server teamed up to make it right, and once we got our food, it was FANTASTIC! I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a date night. We sat on the patio, and the live music was great! Overall it was an amazing date night! Will definitely be going back!"

  • "We celebrated my birthday at Milton's. I had the sesame crusted mountain trout. My husband had the fried chicken. Both excellent! We'll be back for sure! Thanks to the General Manager for showing us the gardens. Such a beautiful place. Highly recommend!"

  • "After hearing how great Milton's is for a long time we finally decided to give it a try about 9 months ago and have been back once a month ever since. Even better now with live music on their patio. We are planning on going to sit on their large deck to enjoy the music with several cocktails and a sampling of their amazing appetizers. Don't wait just go - you are assured great food, great cocktails, great service and an outstanding night out."

  • "We love Milton's! We came early as we had our 2 yr old daughter & we wanted to make sure we got in & out before the restaurant became busy. When we sat down there was only 1 table seated. We put our order in quickly & asked if they could bring our daughters meal out before ours. The waiters was very attentive & got our appetizers & her meal out quickly, unfortunately our meals were long in getting to us & tables that sat down after us received their meals before us. We asked the waiter to check he said they were coming right out. The restaurant happened to be hosting a rehearsal dinner so they were swamped. The manager apologized, gave us free deserts and then went out of his way to show us around their gardens, which are AMAZING!"

  • "The place has the feel of someone's home - every room has a slightly different ambiance, but all of them convey the feeling that you are in for a special experience. To be sure, the feel is upbeat, open, and urban casual. We had reservations and were seated promptly on arrival. Bryan looked after us in great style - attentive without hovering over us every second. The petite filet with risotto and spinach was delicious on all counts, as was the shrimp & grits. For appetizers, we tried the goat cheese balls and the sweet potatoes shrimp fritters - both were very good, but watch out for the spicy sauce that comes with the fritters. The bread basket is to die for. The warm carrot cake is hard to beat for dessert."

  • "Sunday Brunch at Milton's was a pleasant experience. There were nine in our party and we dined outdoors on a rather hot and sunny day. Nate, the Manager, was very accommodating making every effort to be sure of our comfort. The food was very good. We enjoyed everything from Eggs Benedict to Shrimp and Grits and Salmon. The service was impecable. Overall it was a very good dinning experience and I would definitely reccommend this restaurant."

  • "We enjoyed our dinner, but it seems that Milton's tries too hard at serving southern food that I've never heard of. Collards and grits are fine and prepared well, but I feel they're a side on too many entrees. The menu is okay, but somewhat limited."

  • "Very enjoyable dinner with a business associate. The service was excellent and the food exceptional. I had the blackened salmon and my associate had the shrimp and grits. We both were thoroughly pleased with the main courses. The wine list was solid - had one of my favorites - The Prisoner (red blend). The only slight negative was the crab bisque starter was a bit salty. Will definitely try to get back to Milton's. "

  • "My family and I celebrated my birthday here a couple of nights ago. We had not been in about four years. I had liked it before, but wasn't over the moon. This time, it was excellent. It was family friendly, (they had a small children's menu) but definitely an adult feel. It would be good for date night too. I had the crab soup which was excellent. Nice chucks of crab with just a bit of kick. My husband had the wedge salad and he loved it. The fresh bake bread was excellent. I had crab cakes, which were all crab, and my husband had an 8 oz filet which you could cut with a butter knife. To top it off, I received a delicious chocolate peanut butter cake dessert complimentary for my bday. Even the kids meals were very good!"
