Milton's Cuisine and CocktailsGreat FoodAmazing fresh ingredients. Garden to table dinning. I had the grouper that was a special for the evening. I never finish my dinner I could have eaten more it was so good. I wish they had dinning right in the garden I think that would be awesome and so romantic.
We had the best seats in the house. Outside under the roof, close enough to hear music and enjoy the outdoors. Our hostess suggested it when we arrived for our reservations, she was right on. Arrive early to try their cocktails. I had the jalepeno margarita, ask them to muddle it to release the heat!!!

At the time of our reservation, we had been without power for 24 hours and were on the verge of cancelling our dinner plans. In a brief conversation with our server, my wife and I had mentioned our power problems to him and how it had been a challenging 24 hours. When it was time for the bill, he was nice enough to comp our appetizer due to our rough go without power. I had no idea he would do that and certainly wasn't expecting it. Shortly after that the manager came over and offered us two glasses of wine on the house. I just thought it was really cool they did that. And of course the food was amazing as usual. Got the sitter lined up and headed out for 6:15pm reservation. There is ample outdoor seating and maybe they booked reservations considering many would choose to sit outside, but the weather didn't cooperate, so there were no tables inside when we arrived.
It wasn't a big deal to us, but it was to the host at Milton's. He "took care of us" with a couple cocktails and an appetizer at the bar while we waited. Dinner was terrific, food fantastic, and thanks to the friendly host who really knows how to take care if his guests!
We told this story to as many friends and neighbors as we could and highly recommend Milton's. The only complain would be I was surprised to see frozen diced potatoes vs fresh hash browns. I know it is fast and easier, and it is not that they are bad, just with their farm to table approach, I was surprised.

We got just that in a very picturesque part of the restaurant, very nice. We were pleased with a complimentary cobbler dessert (delicious). Our only complaint was the service. Evidently, our waitress, Victoria, was training a new hire, Drew. Even they were both very nice and courteous, we didn't see much of them. Several times, my husband asked another waitress to find ours for refills on drinks and check. I had heard about Miltons from a colleague and decided that we would try it. It didn't disappoint. Everything about this restaurant exceeded our expectations from the staff to the outstanding food. It is not your run of the mill menu and its one of those rare times when every selection looked like exactly what you are looking for. The old historic home atmosphere would be great for casual or a romantic dinner. They had an outside area and band that we wished we had more time to enjoy. Milton's does not disappoint in any way. It was warm so we opted for air conditioning inside the beautiful farmhouse, but the west-facing patio was packed! My husband had the sesame-seed crusted trout but will order it without the sweet-chili coulis next time - it overwhelmed the fish. I don't like carrots, but tried the carrot-honey-basil bisque anyway, and it was incredible! But the best was the strawberry cobbler ... It is consistently excellent in every way from the hospitality and professionalism of the staff to the interesting and delicious food served. I have had many of the items on their menu and invariably each I has been superb. I am a fair cook at home and often resent paying good money for meals inferior to what I can do at home; this is never the case at Milton Cuisine and Cocktails. For drink they had a coke - I had the Georgia something other Mojito (forgot name). However, it was good. Everything we had was good. Yes, we will return. Justin was our server. He was great. Owner/manager walked around to make sure everything was ok with everyone. They had a HUGE (i assume corporate) party that reserved the enitre patio and still other patrons received their food in timely manner (watched others around me/us). Everything we had was well prepared and well presented. Two trout dinners, one grilled chicken, one fried chicken, and one pork something.
The sauces were really the strong suits. Andoullie sausage gravy is over the top.
On the not so wonderful side, one of the speciality drinks was ok, but not a great hit. I would skip the pork belly appitizer. While interesting and tasty, too much fat.

With such friendly and quick service, we were in and out in no time at all. My food was excellent! I had the bone-in rib eye steak and delicious mussels as an appetizer. The crab cakes my husband had were good, but not exceptional, and way too small. My husband would have come away still hungry if I had not shared my steak.
