Milos By Costas Spiliadis-MiamiGood place for Greek in MiamiGreat appetizers, stick to lithrini or fagri for a great grilled fish dinner.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMSame Great RestaurantThe food is super fresh, exquisite dishes. The services is excellent. A definite must for anyone who like fine dinning, fresh food, great wine and a great experience!5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat addition to South PointIn the lovely quiet neighborhood of South Point (SOFI) Miami Beach away from the craziness. Of course the food is great coming from Milos by Costas Spilladis. We have been to Montreal and NYC, this does not disappoint. If you love the freshest fish prepared simply in a very beautiful elegant setting this is it. It is very expensive but worth it for a special dinner. They also have a very nice prix fixe lunch menu which we will check out one of these days.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBravo!Go for lunch. It's a fraction of the price for a terrific, three course meal. The Greek specialties aren't messed with - they're simple and delicious. It's a beautiful setting - you feel as if you're really getting away and going out. I think it's magical. And while the prices can be steep, it's a splurge worth taking. Love it!5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMBest fish restaurant ever!Great food (try the octopus, the tuna tartare a touch small plate but superb taste!)
Great service - special mention goes to the service offered by Daniele. He made our experience there very special!4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMLived up to the hypeThe ambiance was wonderful; the service attentive and food was perfection!4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMOther reviews that I readOther reviews that I read disparaged the service; my experience was that the service was friendly and attentive. The octopus appetizer was the best I've ever tasted. Hard to rationalize spending $150 on a fish entree for two where the server helps selects a fish from the display, but that's probably the way to go (fish filet of tuna & halibut were not special). Beautiful restaurant.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMVery limited wine list. HighVery limited wine list. High price and no familiar brands. Did not have any wine we were familiar with and they pushed wines we never heard of and had no idea of value.
Good food, good service, honored reservation. Very high prices make this a special occasion place.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMJosh Wahler is an incredibleJosh Wahler is an incredible chef. Fantastic restuarant - beautiful presentation - excellent food. What a treat!!!4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMQuality restaurant. One ofQuality restaurant. One of few places where you will taste the freshness of the seafood. It is pricey, but you get what you are paying for.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMthe restaurant is very goodthe restaurant is very good - the food is excellent. the service so-so..
tend it to give attitude - from the Hostess at the front desk to the waiter.
We were greeted very cold and made us feel that if we din't have reservations , then we were not body- fortunately we had reservations
The waiter had an attitude , slightly snobbish and forgot to bring us our wine with the meal, then when reminded he didn't remember what kind of wine we ordered- all because he didn't write it down, his attitude was - i wont dare write any thing these customers say, I am too good for this people..3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMExpensiveIt was outstanding, but extremely expensive, perhaps too expensive for the food we had3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMThe man is a genius! FromThe man is a genius! From Montreal to NY to Miami (have yet to try Vegas)the ambient ,service ,quality, and most important the consistency of the food is unbelievable ! Great job Mr Spiliadis to you and your team ,being from Montreal and 2nd generation Milo's guest I wish you all the best.

Martino3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing and expensiveSo let me start by saying the food and service are excellent....among the best in Miami. The prices however are very high for the portions served. As long as you know going in that is the most expensive place in Miami Beach then you are fine...otherwise a shocker. The food: best Maryland Style crab cake outside of Baltimore...period; and swordfish prepared like the best from my childhood in Boston....superb service.....we will be back (just have to expand the line of credit at the bank).3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMA terrific dining experienceWe went for a birthday celebration and had a terrific experience. Milos is one of the three best dining experiences we've had in South Beach. The service was perfect. We sat near the front window which was a lovely spot in the restaurant. The cosmo was a great start to the meal. Walking over to the fish display and seeing what our fish choices were was both interesting and fun. We had a big eye snapper from the Mediterranean for two which was full of flavor without being overly 'done' as in sauces etc. The tomato salad is beyond compare. a large portion easily shared by two or three. The grilled vegetable appetizer was our side. Flavorful variety of vegetables prepared simply. It was a lovely dining experience.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMThe ambiance and decor wasThe ambiance and decor was just what I like and what I expect for a high end SoBe restaurant. The service was outstanding from the host to our server Elie. He was very attentive to our needs and wants and very knowledgeable about the wines and menu items.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMToo expensive!Too expensive, understaffed. Service is far from what it should be. Food is excellent.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThe fish dishes are trulyThe fish dishes are truly outstanding. The staff give great guidance in picking gorgeous fresh fish displayed on a bank of ice. We picked one that was transformed into one of the most outstanding sashimi plates I've ever enjoyed. Service was slow. One of our dishes had cooled to room temperature by the time it came to the table. The wine list is surprisingly weak. If you are ordering by the glass, the selection is truly sad. By the bottle, the lower priced wines (under $80) are variable- we sampled two before arriving at one we thought decent.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstandingTop-notch dining experience. Not much more to say than that.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWow. Just wow! SometimesWow. Just wow! Sometimes the "branch" locations of restaurants don't live up to the hype, but Milos Miami may be even better than the one in NYC. We had one of the best meals that we have ever eaten. The fried zucchini with tzatsiki was stupendous. The fresh fish was perfectly prepared and the tomato salad with feta was sublime. Oh, and the baklava was phenomenal. Don't miss Milos! Yes its pricey, but it is well worth it!3/1/2013 12:00:00 AMNOT READY FOR PRIME TIMEThe food was only a little bit better than most restaurants that I would rate as good to better than good. But there was a pretentious attitude at this restaurant. We were there for Valentine's day and, because we were travelling from NYC, we did not reserve in advance. So we had to settle for a 5:30 reservation. OK, that's fine. BUT at 5:30 we were dining while we were watching everyone set up!! We had to watch a show of moving tables and changing waiters and displaying fish, etc etc. Ridiculous! I overheard the chef give a speech to the staff saying "tonight is the superbowl." Well, if that's true, shouldn't the place be set up before people start entering?? Overall I think this place is very overpriced even though the design of2/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThough it is overpriced, theThough it is overpriced, the food and service are fantastic. Save it for a special occasion and when you feel like splurging! Definitely start off with their fried zucchini chips. For our entree, we selected a fish from their "onsite fish market" and had it grilled. It was very fresh (again, overpriced but good). Their wine selection was also very nice.2/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBest lunch value in town.Best lunch value in town. Still needs improvement
Oh service1/18/2013 12:00:00 AMFull menu or supper menu-excellentAfter a second visit in a short time I still am recommending this lovely place very highly. Our first visit was simply perfect. The three person wait team was perfect the first time-captain, server, bus. This second time we sat in the gorgeous main room but the wait staff was much less engaged. Management from the top was awesome again from general manager to excellent Kelly (not sure of title). On the other hand when we entered the door the young lady at the reservation desk was more annoyed than accommodating.
The food was fabulous except for one main dish, the Bronzino. Average.
The lamb chops, Greek yogurt, tomato salad, potatoes, baklava -all really great. Alas they were out of the calamari which I was hoping to eat once again.12/28/2012 12:00:00 AMvery good but why no walnutvery good but why no walnut cake on the evening pre fix in Miami as it is advertised?1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
