A word from Milos By Costas Spiliadis-Miami
Estiatorio Milos by Costas Spiliadis is a family restaurant that is true to its roots in every sense of the word. With 32 years of hard work and loyalty, Milos Miami marks the brand’s fifth location. An open kitchen is offset by a fish market display providing diners with a stunning selection of more than a dozen varieties of whole fresh fish served by the pound. Selections arrive daily from independent fishermen as nearby as the Florida Keys and as far as the Greek Islands. While they vary with the changing of the tides, guests have the opportunity to engage in their dining experience - pick it, price it and make it theirs.Continued

  • "Milo's is by far the best restaurant in South Florida. The quality and freshness of the dishes we experienced are not possible to describe. It all started with the way we were treated once we showed up 35 minutes late for our reservation. The Maître D greeted us with the most amazing smile and made us feel at home with his graciousness and hospitality. He made sure that we were seated as soon as possible and throughout the evening he made sure that we were well looked after. The service was on point and our server was very attentive and very knowledgeable. We will definitely return and tell all of our friends that Milo's is a must when they visit South Beach."

  • "Brought our own special bottle of Chardonnay, first thing the manager said was that they don't allow people to bring wine in! Big turn off if you're celebrating and want to bring your own special bottle of wine! Had to choose from their mediocre Greek wine list, nothing special, perhaps because we anticipated our own bottle. Food and service were good, but pricey!"

  • "This is one of the best sea food I ever experience. Equa of my previous experience in Iceland, Copenhagen and my loved Bould Sur at NYC"

  • "30 minute wait for the grilled fish and another long wait to have dessert/coffee order after the time had been fully cleaned. The service was simply fragmented and disoriented. The grilled fish, asparagus, etc simply superb. will keep coming back even if I have to take my own order, get the fish and take it to the grill"

  • "Milos cannot be beat for upscale Greek fare in a gorgeous setting. When you walk in you realize this is a very special place, gorgeous decor, everyone at attention to serve. I can only speak for the "early bird" 5:30- 7:00 prix fixe menu as this is what we had the 2 times we have been. a real bargain for $49. Octopus, calamari, grilled shrimp are starters, fantastic greek tomato feta salad, followed by choice of fish or meat, last night was loupe de mer, or lamb chops. Everybody at our table chose the loupe. Topping it off we had a choice of greek yogurt with honey or baklava. We had a split 2 of each and both were the best. If you come after 7 you have the regular a la carte menu where the prices double......but if you want the best"

  • "This is a fantastic restaurant for fish lovers. They know how to prepare fish - never overdone. All their dishes are well prepared and well presented. This is a Greek restaurant with fresh fish from all over the world. It doesn't get any better than this but be prepared to open your wallet as it is quite pricey but well worth it!"

  • "I cannot recommend Milos enough! From start to finish it was perfection. The whole experience was a 10/10 on every level. The ambiance was lovely, the wait staff were impeccable and anticipated your every need but the food was beyond delicious. We started with the Milos Special which is a tower of lightly fried eggplant and zucchini with tzaziki and Greek cheese in the center. Light, fluffy and delicious. The Greek salad is comprised of the juiciest tomatoes, cucumbers and the most divine feta. The Loup De Mer (Mediterranean Seabass) was simply the best fish we had ever tasted. And we eat in high end restaurants all the time. Lastly was the delectable dessert which was Greek authentic yogurt with cherries and figs in a syrup. Exquisite."

  • "This was our first visit to the Miami Milos having eaten at the NYC restaurant several times. The fish is always very fresh and if you go early, they have an impressive international selection. Later diners, after 8 pm will not have the same choices. With everything ala carte, this is a very expensive restaurant so do not go if you are uncomfortable with a big tab. My SO and I shared the ceviche appetizer, a two lb fish at $56 per pound, one side, and we each had dessert and the bill was over $300. Everything was delicious and representative of Greek dining."

  • "The fish courses were fantastic, and the Greek sides were delicious. The waiter forgot to serve one of the appetizer courses, but comped us on a desert wine to make up for it."

  • "Milos is a great restaurant by almost any measure. We've been several times and always appreciate the skilled and prompt service and the exceptionally good food, particularly the fresh fish. The branzino baked in a salt crust is absolutely the tastiest, moistest, most mouth-watering meal imaginable. My one complaint is the wine list. Very few wines are available for less than $100, and this is ridiculous in today's wine market, where truly spectacular wines are sold at other restaurants for half that amount, and very drinkable wines for a third."

  • "Total Train Wreck. Overstaffed, overpriced, over-rated. Exotic fish only available to large parties. Ceviche was good but outrageously expensive. Staff pressed to build check average - too many service personell, no personal touch, did not communicate with each other. Chaotic and disorganized. Greek salad was NOT a greek salad - under-ripe hot house tomatoes that were almost inedible. Only entree options for 2 were Branzino and Snapper which I can buy at Harris Teeter and cook better than they prepare it. Ordered a $100 bottle of wine that did not arrive - had to send food back and ask for the wine to be brought over first. One of the worst restaurant experiences EVER in my lifetime - and I am in the restaurant business."

  • "The food and service was excellent but we found the food and wine prices exceedingly high and portions sizes very small for the price. It is a large space and does get a bit noisy as it fills up. We started with a Greek salad and the grilled octopus. The octopus was exceptionally well prepared and presented on a white bean paste which was also very tasty. The fish of the evening and it was as our server described it...firm, white and very flavorful as grilled. We ended our repast with the house made Baklava which was also an excellent cinnamon flavored delight and not too sweet. We would recommend this place as a special event venue and certainly it is worth trying but I am not sure given the prices we will return regularly."

  • "We are regulars because it is truly excellent. This visit we were late and they had given our table away. That was our fault but the maitre d" could not have been more pleasant. We went to the bar and the bar tender was so welcoming that we decided to eat there. It is a real accomplishment to have such a motivated and professional staff, especially in Miami. As always, the food was superb."

  • "We went there with some friends. Our waiter recommended getting a whole fish at $52 / lb but couldn't say how big it would be. It ended up being over a lb per person but it seemed like a small amount to eat. The fish was ok. The sides were ok. Everything was small portions. The decor was very nice and the wait staff was very proactive."

  • "Milos is expensive in the evenings (a bargain for the fixed price lunch), but worth the cost because the setting is so attractive, the fish so fresh, and the service so impeccable. We came here several evenings after a deplorable dining experience at the recently opened Prime Fish, and really appreciated the quality of this top end fish restaurant (after the awful service and food at Prime). A very nice selection of wines, including some outstanding ones from Greece are available at Milos."

  • "We were in Miami for 3-1/2 days and enjoyed several restaurants. We found this on our last day and will go there first the next day. Great fresh, tasteful, not overdone food with Greek theme. Fabulous service, also not overdone. Not inexpensive, but worth it."

  • "We've been here several times and have always had success with the service and food. Yesterday, we were astonished that the establishment no longer offers pita bread. Huh?! Isn't this a greek restaurant? The hard white toast is just not acceptable to be eaten with the hummus and dip platter and with the other dishes. One of our guest's suggested we stop by a local gourmet shop and pick some pita bread up if we return to Milos. My only other complaint would be the level of the music during the evening. Don't plan on dinner conversation--ain't happening! Even the server kept asking us to repeat our order."

  • "Based on the recommendation of two persons, one who frequents this restaurant several times a month, I decided to try Milo's for a business dinner. From the appetizers to the main course, the food was phenomenal. Yes, the fish is pricey, but it is as fresh as you can buy and it was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "Everything started out great. We enjoyed several appetizers and my son attempted to order the same red snapper sashimi that we enjoyed on our last visit. The server acted like they had never served any sashimi even though we had two orders on our first visit. The server said don't worry, I have just the perfect thing, THIS IS WHERE EVERY THING WENT REALLY BAD, rather than serving a normal serving of sashimi, the server took upon himself to bring us an entire fish, at $75 per pound, 4 Pounds of Sashimi, this fish cost over $350 with the 20% service charge. WOW. Manger said there was nothing they could do."

  • "A bit pricey, but the fish was the best we've had anywhere. The captain provides a tour of the fish on display and describes the characteristics of each of the many varieties of fish available that day. Service, ambience, and variety and quality of fish preparation and presentation make this one of our new favorite restaurants. Unlike Joe's, Milo's takes reservations."

  • "This is the 3rd time we have been to Milos, the wine goes beautifully with the Salt baked fish, the grilled octopus was amazing, it is not cheap but it was so worthwhile, I would highly recommend this restaurant for seafood lovers, you have the choice of choosing your fish from the icebar! They also have a 'market' side of the restaurant where there are jars filled with delicious jams and figs etc, I am particularly in love with the Fig Jam and Figs in syrup which goes very well with greek yoghurt."

  • "My first experience in Milos was outstanding. I was accompanied by my wife for our anniversary. The place is very cool, great service. The fish is fresh and truly European (I'm italian). The desserts are also fabulous. Great wine list. Outstanding experience"

  • "Aside fro the great seafood at Milos, the service continuous to be outstanding. We have been at Milos Miami few times and I'm very pleased with the consistency of food and service, both at outstanding levels. This is hard to find at this size of restaurant, kudos for this team."

  • "Waited an hour for a table that was already reserved then another 30 mins for the fish. I mean the food is amazing like all Milos, but the staff seem to be running around like chickens with their heads cut off, unlike the other Milos restaurants of the world. I would skip this restaurant and go to joe's stone crab or some other fish restaurant. Its really not worth leaving after midnight when your reso was at 9:30 and you had to meet friends at 11. You can't even wait for your table while having a drink at the bar, its all set up for diners. So you're either waiting outside or in the server's way, which they make very apparent."

  • "Have eaten at Milos in NY and was expecting good things. They South Beach, Miami location did not disappoint. Lovely, fresh food that's simply prepared in order to highlight its natural goodness. Large, albeit expensive, wine list with many good choices. Service is really a star at Milos. Our waiter knew every fish as well as its preparation. He and his fellow waitstaff were attentive without being intrusive. A manager even came over to check on our meal which was a nice added touch. Hostesses were terrific about seating us even though we did not have a reservation on a Saturday night at 7:30p. Will look forward to returning to Milos when we are next in South Beach."
