Diner Reviews
  • "Every morsel was exquisite, perfectly cooked and presented! The entire experience - from our table location, to the service, to the atmosphere, to the food & drinks - was simply a joy."

  • "Farm to Market fresh, new menu options all the time make this a must stop on Atlanta trips."

  • "Was in Atlanta on business and needed a place for a celebratory dinner. What a spectacular find this was! The food was outstanding and the service was knowledgeable and friendly. We had the pork cheeks and the lamb shoulder. Both were flavorful and perfectly done. Would go back in a heartbeat the next time I'm in the area!"

  • "Very good food, attentive service, very fresh and excellently prepared."

  • "From the host who seated us to the waiter to the manager who checked on us, service was superb. More importantly, the food was outstanding! The appetizers were a dream - the baked egg was creamy, the fritters crispy, and my favorite, the English pea hummus was full of flavor. All four of us enjoyed our entrees - everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection. Of the desserts, we loved the chocolate souffle best. We would highly recommend this place to anyone and hope to come back the next time we are in town!"

  • "Absolutely fantastic neighborhood gem hidden in the industrial west of Midtlown Atlanta. Consider yourself lucky if you have an opportunity to dine here."

  • "Came to Miller Union before a show at the fox and they were extra careful to make sure we had enough time to make the show. Dinner was delicious and we even had time for dessert."

  • "First visit, it was great. Stewart, our waiter, was wonderful. Loved the food choices."

  • "I took my boyfriend there for his 35th birthday upon the recommendation of a "foodie" who went on and on about Miller Union. Most of the time when someone goes on and on and expectations are high you're usually let down, but we were NOT at all let down. We did make a reservation. So, when we got there we were seated immediately, the server came to the table quickly and soon we were nibbling on all of the goodies MU has to offer. Everything was great.........even the radishes tasted great!!"

  • "I like to eat out, My weekend is spent trying new places, and going back to old gems. Miller Union is that gem. The bar makes an amazing drink if you happen to be early. We were seated in a comfortable, quieter area. Our service was impeccable (honestly, the best waiter I have ever had), present but not in your face, well versed on the menu, helpful, and friendly. The house cheese was amazing, the farm egg so good that we needed more bread to finish every bite of it. The brisket literally melts in your mouth, the pork was well cooked, and the greens it came with would make any kid eat their vegetables. If you have not been you are doing yourself a disservice. If you have been, go again"

  • "We had been looking forward to dining here. We went early to have a drink at the bar prior to our meal. The bartenders were very knowledgeable and friendly. Once we got to the table, our server was excellent and walked us through a lot of the menu items. The farm egg in celery cream with grilled bread is out of this world. Overall a wonderful experience and we will be back."

  • "Main entrees - pretty boring and bland overall food. Service eas slow and very unfriendly. For the price we expected a lot more."
    Dined on 3/21/2014
  • "The chef is really good at vegetables- always a unique selection and they are so creative and delicious!! Would always recommend the farm egg appetizer and the vegetable plate. Everything is delicious."

  • "We have been going to Miller Union just about since it opened and have enjoyed every experience (and there are few Atlanta restaurants for which I can make that statement!). It is a great place for a fine meal and good conversation with no gimmicks, no pretensions, no music! The menu is varied, all well prepared with local, seasonal ingredients in moderate portions and reasonably priced. If you are there for lunch, you must try their unique ice cream sandwiches! They also have some of the best service staff in town. All in all, Miller Union provides a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience every time."

  • "This is a gem. Great food and service. Ha da group of seven people which is always complicated for the staff, but they handled it magically. Loved it."

  • "The chef manages to bring out the best in all the ingredients used. Each dish is very simple but comes with ALOT of flavor."

  • "As always, a delightful evening of food and wine. The front of the house being well managed by Neal McCarthy, and the cuisine similarly top notch from Steven Satterfield, expectations were met (and I have high expectations!)."

  • "Food was wonderful for everyone in our group of 7. We called to make it from 6 to 7 people. Once we arrived 2 hours later, they had no record of that call. Were able to accommodate us anyway but begrudgingly so. The waiter we had was awful. Rude. Unhelpful. Interrupting conversations and messing up orders. He seemed scattered and disinterested. Wasn't able to split our bill either. Unprofessional. One other waiter was redeeming and very knowledgeable. Alas, I won't be returning. A shame because the food and atmosphere A+."

  • "The food is so fresh and beautifully prepared...this time we were there for a business lunch so I just had the fried catfish sandwich and fries - ate every bite. The fish was so tasty and the batter it was dipped in was very light. The fries are always dangerously good. My business associate had the veggie plate and ate every bite!! Looked awesome! Their wine list is great - but I was good this time and just had water!"

  • "Excellent from beginning to end. Three different starters, four different entrees, three different desserts all superb!"

  • "When I made the reservations, I had specifically said it was for special occasion. It was my friends birthday and it was at lunch. They were not busy. When they called to confirm, once again, I requested they do something special as it was my friends birthday. Nothing. The meal was just fair, - two salads and a sandwich. It cost $120. I don't mind spending that much if I think it is exceptional. It certainly was not."

  • "We went here not knowing anything about this restaurant and were very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. The meats were very tasty and cooked perfectly. The vegetables were also fresh. I would definitely dine here again. Also, we had a few mixed drinks that were all very nice as well. Not your ordinary drinks, but very good."

  • "Missed reservation by 10 minutes. Even though 2 of our party was at the bar waiting, we were alternate seated in the outside area. Sun was REALLY in the eyes of tow of our guests. When asked if the shades could be pulled down, the answer was "no, that's as far as they go down, didn't you bring sunglasses?" Really. We asked for a wine with low fructose and waiter had no idea, we did not feel comfortable returning the wine once it was opened...a $80 or $90 mistake. Food was good, this was our second experience. First time was a whole lot better!"

  • "We had the shrimp and grits which was divine! The pulled pork was a little dry, but overall good. The griddled roast beef was loved. Service was very good and attentive. Overall it was a delicious lunch!"

  • "I have always had a great experience at Miller Union and will continue to be a patron of this restaurant many times over, however I must say that this particular time was less not what I had hoped from an overall experience standpoint due to the host. As far as food and table service, you can be sure you are dining at one of the best in Atlanta!"

  • "I thoroughly enjoyed a quiet Saturday lunch at MU. Perfect after a massage... I thought the concept for the restaurant was great. It felt personable as if I was at my Grandmother's farmhouse. The food was good, the hush puppies were arguably the best I've ever had."

  • "The food is always good there, but the service was even better."

  • "I recently ate at Miller Union for my best female friend's bridal shower. The service was excellent, ambiance was wonderful, and the food was outstanding. I particularly recommend that delicious ice cream sandwiches for dessert!"

  • "Everyone one loved the food. The duck was the best meal and scallop appertizer was excellent."
    Dined on 2/20/2014
  • "Probably Atlanta's greatest cheeseburger - and they will cook it rare. Grass fed beef, hefty bun, crisp fries on the side, house made ketchup. Downside, the slice of raw green tomato does nothing for the already dull "griddled" beef/cheese sandwich, which I would not get again. Soups always a standout. Tables close together, space hard-edged but attractive, ditto the mostly professional, talkative crowd, at least at lunch."

  • "The restaurant didn't look like much from the outside but the interior has an original feel to it while maintaining a classy environment. The menu changes frequently depending on the freshest ingredients. We started off by ordering their Squash based Soup, and Farm Egg baked in celery cream which were outstanding. For entrees my table thought the Grilled Pork Chop, the Pork Osso Buco, and the swordfish were all very good. Desserts were also a highlight; the Chocolate Ganache Cake and the Apple Bread Pudding were great finishers. Service felt great with our waiter offering recommendations and being attentive. Only downside is that prices are a little high for the small portions served. Not a deal-breaker though, we will definitely return."

  • "One of our friends always speaks highly of Miller Union, and he has discerning taste in restaurants. So, when out of town guests visited, we took them to Miller Union for lunch. The Burger and Roast Beef Sandwiches were perfectly prepared and delicious. The Ice Cream Sandwiches were a whimsical treat. Look forward to our next visit to Miller Union!"

  • "This is my 4th visit to MU. I don't know why but I keep going back. I still haven't had a meal that has blown me away. Maybe I should expect more for $100 but I guess not."

  • "We really enjoyed our visit to Miller Union. Our meals were beautifully prepared and presented. Ingredients were interesting and very high quality. Servers were knowledgable, attentive, and professional. We sat in a lovely room - haute farmhouse, sophisticated yet very comfortable. A big thumbs up from four fussy New Yorkers. We highly recommend."

  • "I love Miller Union! It's always amazing as far as the food and service, and the cocktails are to die for. If you're going to Fabrefaction (which you should), then you should do dinner at MU beforehand. It's an awesome experience."

  • "With all the buzz generated by this place, talk about a terrible experience. When paying $25+ an entree, you would think that the kitchen would be able to handle a Valentine's evening even if they are busy. Farm egg in celery cream, the egg came slightly over-cooked. Paired with their overpowering bread, it was difficult to taste anything much. The grit fritters with ham were SO salty, we had to eat them like pills, with glasses of water. The rabbit confit was borderline inedible with salt being the only flavor set against the great vegetables. The coffee brisket was so incredibly dry, it almost made me mad. The only reason why I didn't send everything back was because we were in a rush and didn't have time to risk further failure."
