  • "I am not a vegan, or even a vegetarian, but this restaurant was simply fabulous. I do not know how they made the food taste like it did. The meal was outstanding in every way. If I had gone to this type of restaurant many years ago, I would probably not be eating meat now. I did not miss the dairy or the meat at all."

It's perfect for meat-eaters, too: the food is so exquisitely and imaginatively prepared that you won't care that it's plant based. The service was fantastic, as was the atmosphere. I can't wait to go back."

  • "My meat eating husband was blown away by the flavors and appearance of all we had. The July Salad was to die for and so was every other morsel of food we enjoyed - right down to the "cheese cake" of course without the cheese. If you are a vegetarian and need to go out with those that usually only eat meat - take them here!"

  • "The food was good, however coming from the vegan Mecca that is Austin, TX my dish did not wow me (surprisingly enough for finer dinning) My husband enjoyed his meal more, and we both agreed that dessert was awesome! The hotel itself is historic, the ambience inside was nice, though we were seated at a table right below a very bright street-level window, which kind of killed the mood. The service was mixed, the Maitre d' was excellent, our waitress however was kind of annoying and probably the worst part of our dining experience. Overall it is worth a try, just not what I expected."

Great service from the bar, and has such a great vibe. You can talk to other guests and it overall feels great. The food and desserts are out of this world. Fresh seasonal vegan food. You can never go wrong here."

  • "This is an all vegan restaurant that is good enough to show your meat eating friends that food can am does taste great without the flesh nodded animals in the recipe. They have a great take on beef Wellington minus the beef! The important part of beef Wellington remains-pastry puff cover and shallots and taste, just no beef. Ribbon salad was awesome as was their vegan chocolate cake dessert."

  • "The food at Millennium was amazing. Every dish was a fun discovery. The service was not rude--everyone was very pleasant--but it was subpar given this is a fine dining establishment. Things like the servers taking away cutlery but then not bringing replacements when they returned with the next course, sloppily tilting plates so that food toppled over and not at least offering to have the kitchen fix things, and awkwardly stretching across people in pained attempts to deliver and collect plates is not acceptable when you're paying $50+ per person for food (before you factor in the cost of drinks). For the price, the service should be smooth and flawless. It was sadly the reverse of that."

  • "My friend and I enjoyed a delicious dinner last night, June 25, 2014. The dates stuffed with pistachos were so tasty and an original dish. We also loved the beet salad with hazelnuts, the tamale, delicious mushroom dishes and the chocolate hazelnut cake. The waiters/servers were all very professional and attentive. The ambience was very good & you get a feeling that everyone is having a good time and really enjoying the food + the place."

The dates were amazing as well. I couldn't finish my huge portion and really wish I was able to take the leftovers, as they would be fabulous the next day as well. Dessert was the best vegan dessert I've ever eaten. Great spot for a special night out but also just a great spot to dine- I was there on my own whilst in town for a conference and really enjoyed it."

  • "It was the best vegan food I had in my life, especially the dessert- I had the almond midnight, at least I think that's what I think it's called. I also had the Garlic cake. I loved the texture of this entrée and I could even taste the little hint of cinnamon they put in it. It was delicious! I'm glad that I got the cookbook so I could recreate this awesome food!"

Every dish had multiple tastes that made me only want more. We planned only to go once during our visit to SF but we decided to go back two nights later. A great all around experience. Surprising food combinations, and food/wine combination made it an experience. One of my favorite restaurants. Note that it is vegan (which most people would actually enjoy, in my experience) and that they also easily accommodated gluten free."

  • "This latest trip to Millennium (I've been many times), I was taking my sister there for her last day in SF (she was moving away to Oregon). The stuffed dates were delicious but seemed better suited as a dessert, the Warm Salad was unbelievably good (those combination of flavors was impeccable). The Wellington was good but seemed a little bland unless you really covered each bite in sauce. The green garlic Risotto cake was really good but seemed a bit small as an entree (and for the price). The chocolate midnight cake was, as always, incredible. Our server was surprisingly just mediocre. She seemed a bit put out at every interaction we had with her. We were surprised bc the service is usually quite good. That said, the bussers were great!"

Some first-time guests were unsure of what to order for their Main course, and the wait staff encouraged them to take time to think about it while they enjoyed their starter dish. the low-light and spacing were ideal, the noise level allowed for conversation without shouting. the food was impeccable."
