"I've been dining at Mill Pond for years, either on a special holiday such as Easter, Birthday or Mother's Day or just for fun. I love the food and I love dining on the deck. I love the food and the service is great."

"we recently had lunch at mill pond house. the hostess was pleasant & our request to sit outside on the patio area was met. i was dissapointed that the plastic coverings were still down on the windows, which takes away from the atmosphere and view. it was a lovely day and it would have been much nicer to have them open - at least a few of them. it was extremely crowded & tight and without any of the windows being open, it did create a very stuffy feel without any air flow. tables are very close & with the crowd, it was quite noisy. the menu offers a very nice choice of entrees. our lunches were good, not great. the service was adequate."

"I have tried the steak on 2 seperate occasions and it has been terrible, it is over priced for the quality of meat served. Very disappointed so I do not recommend Mill Pond if you are craving a delicious steak, it won't happen there."

"Nice experience for a special occasion. I had requested a table next to the window on Open Table and then called to try to verify since it was a special occasion. We got there a little early, and I think should of made a bigger reference to our requests in regard to a table next to the window with a view because although we were seated on the patio, we did not get one of the tables with the nice water front view for a 60th birthday, nor was there any recognition of the special occasion."

"We have been to Mill Pond many times and always found the food and service to be excellent. It is one of our favorites on Long Island. The sushi appetizer was nowhere near as good as we had before. The main course entree of fish (one of the specials for the day) was also very disappointing -- just a hunk of fish that smelled fishy and was not tasty. It was so different from our experiences of the past. We will return, hoping that this was just an off day."
