Diner Reviews
  • "Dinner was great and service was fantastic! I will return soon!"

  • "Every time we've dined at this restaurant, we have been more than pleased. The food is melt-in-your-mouth delicious, the service is attentive without being intrusive, and we never feel rushed. It's upscale without being snooty. This is fast becoming a favorite place for my husband and me to dine."

  • "So, the food was great. Good taste, presentation, etc. Mixed drinks were excellent. The rolls, cornbread, and the hushpuppies that were part of my dinner were not great. I was expecting at least the quality I would get at my local grocery store. Not good. Mile High, if you want ro come full circle, work on the baked goods."

  • "Several times a year the chief changes the menu. Between the new menu & the daily specials we had a wonderful dinner. The clams with chorizo appetizer was amazing. I sure hope the chief decides to add this as a regular item on the menu. The scallops wrapped in bacon was another pleasant surprise, much better than most other restaurants. We enjoyed our appetizers so much we would have loved to have had much larger portions and made them our dinner. Maybe a tapas approach to dinner next time. My wife had the daily fish special Ono, which was cooked perfectly and was so yummy. I had one of my favorites the veal chop, which was stunning as usual, and with the free lobster tail as part of the surf & turf special. What more could I ask for. Yum!!"

  • "The hostess hollered at me because moved my chair around to the side of the table. This woman should not be working in a restaurant!"

  • "We had a little trouble in the beginning getting a waiter, but once we got one he was very good, and the food, as always was delicious. The manager even came over a couple times, apologized for the initial wait, offered us dessert. Really great. Will go again."

  • "Have been coming to Mile High for several years and dinner on Wednesday was fantastic! Steaks were cooked to perfection and the service was perfect. Dessert was homemade cinnamon ice cream"
    Dined on 4/2/2014
  • "Overall the night was very good. The food was very good (prime rib outstanding), drinks were ok, service was a little slow. I would go back."

  • "My only thought when leaving this restaurant was, "That was NOT worth the money." The food is good but nothing special, the portions are too big, the service is exceedingly slow and the ambiance is standard strip mall. We will not return."

  • "When you want to be sure to have an exceptional dining experience this is the place to go."

  • "Been here several times: learned 1 big lesson - dont go when they are busy. First lesson - took 15 yr old son who love burgers (who doesnt?) and figured high end steak place will have high end burger - they do, but ONLY if you sit at bar. 2nd lesson - Daughter ordered clam chowder expecting white and go red chowder. while we know the difference, server gave us the verbal without the Manhanttan vs New england Clam chowder explanation. Last lesson: they have a special for free lobster when a steak is ordered. my lobster tail was WAY overcooked (dry) and lobster mac and cheese with son's steak was left under warming tray so long the cheese sauce had dried. We do love the place and will go back and are assuming this is an anomally."

  • "We go every few month to enjoy a nice filet but this time we were dissapointed. My hubby's filet was tasted burnt bc it was over chard & mine was rare rather than medium. My in laws didn't care for the extra stuff on the prosciutto scallops plate but did like the scallops. The apricot butter is fantastic as always. Our was hard to understand and did not explain your filet deal to us correctly. He left out it was the 6oz only. We missed the bacon wrapped scallops!"

  • "The overall experience was very good. The free lobster tail deal was perfect timing and was appreciated. My Med Well fillet was more well than medium, only draw back for the evening Servers were all very nice."

  • "Mile High does have very good food but it comes at a very high cost. Even if you use the buy one get one free gift cards, it still comes out to a good chunk of change. You can easily expect to pay over $100 for 2"

  • "Nice meal, good service. We ordered cocktails and an appetizer. The lobster bisque was awesome. Then a couple steak dishes with a glass of red. Steaks were cooked exactly as ordered. It was a good experience, but doesn't quite live up to the prices. I'm not talking about serving sizes. The sides and mushy veggies just don't scream high dollar dining."

  • "We celebrated a special birthday, we were a party of 6, because it was Friday (lent) we all had different fish dishes, all were delicious. Our waiter was very good, well informed, very helpful. One of us has shell fish allergy, there were very good in preparing a dish without shell fish. The only negative, we were seated in last room, the room is one big open room with tables, it would be nice if it was broken up, to give a more intimate appearance. Highly recommend the restaurant."

  • "This restaurant has become so popular, it's difficult to find an evening when they're not packed! The true reason is that they offer superb food, good drinks and excellent service. Yes, it is a bit pricey but it is our favorite "go-to" place without having to go to the city and spend $30 for parking and 8% tax and, if it is one of the better city restaurants, the bill would be twice as much. We are glad to have MHSS in our neighborhood. Their Bogo cards help."

  • "Sadly...Mile High has taken a downward turn. The best things we ate were our steaks. Everything else was over seasoned or under seasoned. Service was slow...we waited and waited for everything including our check. This was our Mile High good bye...Brandywine Prime is so much better...that's our new go to place for steaks."

  • "Party of 2: Order : appetizer: scallops, dinner: hanger steak and crab imperial with mashed potatoes and asparagus Filet and lobster tail, mashed potatoes and greenbeans and carrots All if the food was perfectly cooked, knowing it's a steak place I always order my steak more done than I want. I ordered medium and it was medium rare which was perfect! The service and most if all the pace of the meal, nice and slow was exactly what we were in the mood for."

  • "First, I'd like to congratulate our favorite server Mary Ellen on her promotion to manager. We always start with the Lobster Bisque and wherever we go we compare theirs to Mile High's. None has been close and once again we were not disappointed. The three-way lobster was very tasty and fresh, as were the oysters on the half-shell. Our crab cakes and sea bass dinners were prepared and served to perfection. The chocolate covered cheesecake dessert could have been thicker. It was hard to taste the actual cheesecake. Our server, Brian, was efficient, friendly, professional and attentive. Although I've seen a few negative reviews, I've never experienced a restaurant that so consistently provides great service and food."

  • "MH is the place to go for drinks and happy hour. Drinks are generous (cold, full pours) and the new bartender Andy has created some new top of the line drinks. You can get your standard martinis and manhattans but if you want to push the envelope with some top notch creative center city drinks, ask Andy to make something for you. You will not be disappointed. If there is a problem , Andy knows how to make it right. This is why by 5:15, there is not a seat available at the bar. MH is the place to go for Happy Hour. Stay for dinner and that will top your evening off. The secret is out!. MH is the private club for people in the burbs. It is our favorite place to go and unwind. Try it you will not be disappointed and will soon become a regular."

  • "It has a very nice feel/amibiance, crowed but quiet enough to hear each other talk. My NY Strip w/au poivre was excellent. I would definitely like to go back and try more of the menu. Service was very good."

  • "Nothing stands out from this time that we ate here. I had the Rack of Lamb and ordered it med rare-- it came out medium and was a bit overdone for my liking. I have reviewed this restaurant many times and usually have a better experience so I think they were a bit off their game this last time. One of my dining partners had the 10 oz Filet which was very good, but my other partner ordered a wedge salad that was drenched in dressing and then had French Onion soup which was poor at best. The soup lacked much cheese and was a bit salty for our liking. Overall, not one of our better experiences here and I also get quite annoyed at restaurants that call back my cell number to confirm a reservation that I made through Open Table!!"

  • "Delmonico was a but grisly for an aged meat, and slightly chewy ( Med. rare ) . We ate at Bobby Flays in Atlantic City last week and it was melt in your mouth. However the Filet my guest had was excellent and actually better than B. Flays. The lobster tail and crab cake, add ons because it was a Thurs. nite , was a great treat. Server did a very nice job."

  • "The food was very good, but it is a small place and there was at least one large group who was very loud. It is normally a quiet place, but this time it was not. I'd still recommend it for the food and wine."

  • "Always a great meal at Mile High. A little pricey but well worth it, especially on Surf & Turf specials night. Sometimes service can be a little slow but it makes for a nice relaxing meal. Don't go if you're in a hurry."

  • "Having dined and many fine restaurants across the country, I rate this experience as one of the best. Not only was the meal excellent, but the service was perfect. We will definitely be back and have recommended Mile High to family and friends."

  • "The down side of our experience was the waiter, who couldn't understand American. First time I have run into this at this restaurant. He had no idea what I was ordering and apparently didn't care."

  • "This was our first time here and celebrating a romantic Valentine's Dinner. The atmosphere, food and the services was what we expected - fabulous!!! we will definitely come back for the fine food, drinks and desserts."

  • "Awesome experience start to finish. The lemon sorbet to cleanse the palate before your entree (steak) was a nice touch."

  • "Our whole experience was wonderful. We arrived 15 minutes early and were seated right away in a table that was tucked away. The waitress was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food came out quickly and was superb. My filet mignon was the vest I have ever had and cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend Mile High to anyone looking for a beautiful restaurant with great service and the best steak you will ever have!"

  • "From the soup through desert a truly perfectly cooked and prepared meal we both enjoyed. To have such quality local food was a great discovery for us. We just never knew the quality that existed just around the corner from home. We will be back for sure! Don't miss out if your really looking for a spectacular meal. Don't try the veal chop...leave it for me!"

  • "Nice atmosphere, I would stay away from the booths in the bar area. Food was excellent. Service was excellent and very attentive. Both lobster and mushroom bisque apps were tasty, thick and hot. Surf and turf and rack of lamb were excellent, prepared as ordered. Special occasion restaurant, a little on the pricy side."
