  • "There are NO organic offerings and few, VERY FEW, vegetarian meals,~ NOTHING that looked appealing anyway. I do not eat meats that are not free range, humanely raised and antibiotic and steroid free. I rarely eat meat at all. I saw NO wild caught fish selection. Will not be returning. The only food we could order were the twin tails, hopefully not farmed raised, we were told they were from south Africa. The King crab legs were from Alaska, so that was cool. The salads were ok..... but we took our chance and ate them even though NOT organic. I had a stomachache after, I guess my body is not used to pesticides."

The fish was fresh & cooked to easily break apart with a fork. The waiter was very attentive. Menu is pricey, but well worth it!"

  • "Front of the house management changes and service can be great or so-so depending on the server - but we go here for the FOOD and it is consistently great! Chef Dave and his crew continue to keep the menu balanced between Classics (steaks cooked to perfection with house made sauces for the steaks that are over the top, wedge salad is always crispy and served on a cold plate) and contemporary menu items and specials that are always tempting and deliver"

  • "We've eaten here many times. This time was terrible. One of our drinks was in a foul smelling, dirty glass. One of the steaks was inedible. Tasted like it was soaked in a stick of butter. Very disappointing experience."

  • "We enjoyed every part of our meal. The soup of the day, chicken corn chowder was the best I ever had. Steak was tender and cooked just right. Desert was a deep fried Oreo with vanilla sauce and ice cream. It was to die for. Definitely will be going back."

  • "I took my husband here to celebrate his birthday. We went on a Monday night which was quiet, so our dining experience will most likely differ from those who go on the weekend. We both had the filet mignon which were excellent. He had the Cesar salad and I had the spinach salad which was also very good. The service was a little slow, but we would definitely go back."

  • "We always enjoyed the food in the past. We invited out of town guests to join us on Saturday. The steak was of very poor quality, under cooked and smothered with rizzotto and cheese. This was clearly to cover a lack of lobster on othe top and poor quality filet. I am very disappointed, especially at those prices."

  • "Our meals came out and my steak was cooked to my spec but my wife ordered medium and it came out well done. They did a new steak while I ate my entire dinner, the new steak came out and it was a lousy cut. Bottom line I ate and my wife did not. They offered a third but at this point we just wanted to leave and go home. If you want a good steak try Morton's or the Palm."

  • "We went there for our Anniversary - actually went a day before so we could enjoy the Surf and Turf special. Our filet was cooked to perfection, one of the best meals we had have in a long time. My lobster tail was so tasty and my husband loved his crab cake. We will be going back soon. This was our first visit to the dining room but not our last."

  • "I have to say first and foremost the food is delicious. The service was really good but I do believe they should have more waiters on weekends. Andrew was absolutely wonderful. He just had a very large group right next to us of 8 that were definitely taking a lot of his time, but he was right back at our table as soon as they would let him free to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. The prices were high but it definitely matched the quality of the food. It is out of our way driving there from Philadelphia but I would eat there again. In fact we purchased more gift certs to do just that. I have read some reviews that were not too flattering but I do like to form my own opinion and I am glad I did."

  • "The only good things I can say are that the portions were ample, the vegetables cooked properly, and the service was good enough. Other than that, a pesky fly buzzed around the entire time I was there (made me suspicious), the bread basket, although good choices, tasted freezer burnt. Everything was over-sauced and greasy with butter. The Delmonico steak had perfect grill marks, but was tough. The calamari appetizer had a nice crispy coating, but was watery on the inside and lacking in flavor. The lobster mac N' cheese was not good at all. For 2 people without drinks or desserts and a shared appetizer, the check came to $107. I also had to ask our server how much the specials were."

  • "I had reservations for another restaurant in the area, when my party decided to try out the Mile High restaurant. I was hesitant at first but was willing to give it a chance. We walked in and were happily greeting and sat down in a beautiful dinning area. It was very spacious, clean, and well decorated. After looking over the menu for a few minutes a waiter came over who was very friendly. When it came to taking our order he was a bit slower as when asking about a food allergy he needed to check with the kitchen. Our dinner came and everyone enjoyed theirs, I wasn't too impressed. I ordered the lobster bisque, which was great. But my entree was average. The entree really turned me off from the rest of the experience."

  • "As always, cannot find anything negative to say. Dinner was as expected. My wife had the seafood (Chilean Sea Bass, if memory serves) and I had the prime rib, medium rare. It was brought to the table as ordered, my wife pronounced the seafood as excellent. Drinks were well poured, and the Sean Minor went well with the beef. The doughnuts for dessert were a great finish to the meal. We keep coming back"

  • "We have been to Mile High a number of times since we live nearby, and have never been disappointed. Food is fresh, well prepared and delicious. Service is attentive without being overbearing. Steaks are prepared perfectly, and the surf and turf special free seafood add-on keeps us coming back without a special occasion. My husband and I split a Caesar salad (portion was perfect for our first course), and each had petite filet and lobster. Others at our table had rib eye and rack of lamb with other seafood additions. All the food was delicious. Our waiter (Steve, I think) knew the menu and answered questions well. He was available whenever we needed him. We're happy to have such a good, non-chain steak and seafood house nearby."

  • "I had tried Mile High with my sister last fall and had been wanting to go back with my husband for our monthly date night. We finally made it this past Saturday. We had a 5p reservation, so we arrived and ate most of our meal before the dinner rush started. The food was fantastic, the service stellar, and the atmosphere soothing (we have 4 young children, so we really appreciate that last part of the experience). We had dinner and dessert in the dining room and then we moved to the bar area to watch the Belmont Stakes. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and we will return!"

  • "Went to MH for Happy Hour which is great but decided to have dinner at the bar. The filet I ordered was like a piece of butter. Cooked to perfection with a complimentary FULL SIZE lobster tail makes this hard to beat. My dining partner had the shrimp tempura with lobster fried rice which was exceptional. How a steak and seafood restaurant can be so diverse with quality and excellent food is a testament to a talented chef. He knows how to cook!!! Needless to say, there was no take home container as the food along with the excellent service of Andy the bartender made for a great midweek break. Try the rest of these so called steakhouses in the area and then go to Mile High. You will wonder why you every went anywhere else."

There are also some nice touches that make for a great dining experience, like their flavored butter, sorbet palate cleanser, and a bit of chocolate with the check. I usually choose the strip steak while my wife prefers the filet; neither of us have ever been disappointed. "
