Diner Reviews
  • "The food and staff were great but the high prices (2 orders of tacos, 2 mains and 4 drinks) keep this from becoming a regular spot. Drinks are fantastic, try something that might be new to you off the menu like the michelada or the macho mojito."

  • "This restaurant boasted wonderful reviews - it was between Milagro and Margaritas on Baldwin which did not enjoy the best reviews. Without any question, Margaritas blew Milagro away. No doubt, if it wasn't for the 'upscale' location of Milagro, the reviews might tell it like it is - strictly mediocre."

  • "The first time we dined here we enjoyed the food coz we ordered only appetizers and tacos. Iwe still enjoyed the queso fundido and will come back for it but our main entrees didn 't meet our expectations. Would not recommend the ahi tuna. There's no mexican twist other than the avocado at the side."

  • "I've been a few times now and always enjoyed it. I think our own menu choices left something to be desired for our friends that were not huge fans of mexican cuisine to begin with. Overall - I still like the place and the food. La Rosarita taco - the best !"

  • "The food is great. Fresh & top quality ingredients, in a very diverse Mexican menu. So many varied options that I sometimes just order 3 or 4 appetizers instead of a single entree. It is not in my neighbourhood, nor is the downtown location. BUT I will definitely be back!"

  • "Milagro is always a good time. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The food is always fresh and full of flavour. I just wish the menu rated how spicy some dishes are!"

  • "My wife loves Mexican food and we e have been to several places but this little place surprised us. Loved the extra kick in the food and service wasn't that bad"

  • "It was a good experience. High expectations were not met, but it was still enjoyable. Service was lousy. We were trying to eat while all of the wait staff drank and ate at the table beside us."

  • "Their tacos are not as tasty as seven lives, I find mine dry and bland. But service is good though."

  • "When I let the waiter know that my ceviche was too spicy, he mentioned that it was mexican food (insinuating that I should not complain since mexican food is spicy) until both tables on each side of us complained as well. If the food is very spicy, clients should be made aware of it..too bad, I enjoyed the first few bites of that ceviche but couldn't finish. I understand the ambiance theme is relaxed and that the waiter did not mean to be sarcastic or offensive but he was at the limit of being rude sometimes. There is a fine boundary between friendliness and being rude. We are glad we tried this restaurant but it will not be worth the detour again for us."

  • "The food was okay, definitely not even close to the best Mexican I've had in Toronto but the service was really terrible. It was a half hour before anyone even came up to our table, then we ordered a drink with our order and it didn't arrive, so about 45 min later (after the appetizer, when dinner arrived) and the waiter finally came back I asked about it. It took another ten minutes before we got it and the waiter charged us for it. Even after waiting an hour! I also asked for a side of sour cream. I finished over half of my meal before I actually got it. Do not waste your money."

  • "This was our second visit to Milagro and it was fantastic. The service with which the staff greeted us was pleasant and welcoming. We were seated on the second floor on a single table as requested. For drinks we ordered to traditional Mexican Beer preparation called Mechelada a must have if you are adventurous. For the main course my wife ordered the chicken Enchiladas and I the seared Tuna (which was absolute perfection). Despite it being Valentines days the service was prompt and courteous which shows well for an establishment"

  • "Monday night was not a busy night but that was the birthday so there we were. Chips and guacamole were great. Could have ate that all night . Try the Hawaiian spearhead on tap ! The margaritas were too small but were decent. Overall bill a bit high but we are on yonge street after all."

  • "Food was good but overpriced. Paid over $20 for battered cod tacos and wasn't even sure there was any cod in the taco. This is my second time at Milagro. Service is great. Guacamole and chips were great. As was the fondido. I tend to prefer the appetizers at Milagro to the mains. The food is good but can get better food for the price. My partner always seems to enjoy his main so maybe he should write a review too ;)"

  • "I have never been disappointed by the food or the service here before. My experience has always been spectacular. I am especially delighted to see that the octopus cerviche is back on the menu. However, my level of disappointment was insurmountable upon seeing that the crema de chocolate has been removed from the dessert list. I ordered it at every single visit except for my last one. The churos are wonderful, but can never replace the creme de chocolate for me. It would be fabulous if you could bring it back."

  • "Loved the mojitos - food is very tasty- we go for the cerviche which is freshest on the planet and tasty tacos. Yum!"

  • "The food was great but the server was not very nice. She had her moments, I don't know what was wrong with her. I asked if they could remake my pina colada because it was too strong for me and she looked like I offended her somehow. There was a table of women sitting in a corner and they were extremely loud I wish someone would've told them to keep it down, I couldn't hear my boyfriend who was sitting right across from me and I'm sure i wasn't the only person in the restaurant that felt that way. Other then that the food was great, their guacamole was amazing. I would go back but only for special occasions I found it a little pricey."

  • "I had heard what a renowned menu and selection of quality Mexican food Milagro had based on their other two Toronto locations, but had never visited this one in my neighbourhood. Am I glad I did. The food was outstanding, the staff very attentive and it's a fun energetic atmosphere. Great for a long meal, a quick bite or just a get together with friends for snacks and drinks. Huge cocktail menu and a very extensive tequila selection in all grades. I'll be back."

  • "I've been to the King location of this restaurant, and so I expected an equally positive experience here. Unfortunately, the rude attitude of the server and poor service (i.e., messing up orders and adding surcharges for little things like hot sauce) really spoiled our experience and turned me away from this restaurant. Among mexican restaurants, this one does not have the best food - it is also at the pricier end! If you're looking for AUTHENTIC mexican food and experience, this is not the place to go (try La Mexicana instead). If you are looking for a good-looking, pretentious, over-priced restaurant, then go here. I was willing to go b/c it has a good atmosphere and we were there for a group event...but the service there was a turn-off."

  • "The food is hearty and flavourful (mojitos and mole poblano are both musts), and the staff is pleasant and personable. We had a very nice early evening dinner."

  • "Guacamole was fresh and tasty. Lots of taco options. Tried the shrimp tacos and they were delicious. Salsa had a perfect amount of spice and the shrimp were a good size and perfectly cooked. Complimentary chips and salsa were good although I've had better."

  • "Loved the guacamole and the ceviche right off the top. The shrimp tacos were also delicious. The drinks are very pricey which is kind of annoying but I'll definitely go back for the food. I've been to both the Queen and Yonge locations and the service was excellent both times."

  • "Milagro is a great restaurant for anyone who likes Mexican food or who wants to try something different. The service is wonderful and the food is delicious. You can't go wrong with the guacamole and the queso fundido as appetizers."

  • "Typically the food is great and the service mediocre, but this time the food was mediocre and the service terrible. Our waitress left to pick up a coffee at Starbucks while our food waited to be served. Likely the last time we go to this restaurant."

  • "I do not recommend this place AT ALL. It took forever to be acknowledged seated even though I had a reservation. The server was always absent and inattentive. It took an ion to even get drinks or chips on the table. EAs a former server, I felt obligated to still tip her 15%, which she accepted with an air of entitlement. The food was just OK. The Ceviche was good. The Shrimp tacos were so dry I had to ask for hot sauce. The pulled pork and cheese enchiladas were forgettable. If it wasn't my friend's birthday dinner and if it weren't so late, I would have walked right out of there right at the beginning."
