A word from Miku Restaurant
We specialize in Aburi, or flamed-seared sushi, which was developed nearly a century ago in Japan. The act of applying fire directly and lightly sear is known to enhance the natural flavors of the fish. Miku owner, Seigo Nakamura, innovated the Aburi concept by creating speciality sauces, using non-traditional Japanese ingredients, to complement the unique taste properties of each fish.

Miku Restaurant is within walking distance from the Pan Pacific Hotel, Canada Place, Trade & Exhibition Centre, IMAX Theatre, Cruise Ship Terminals and Sea Bus. If shopping downtown, join us for lunch and re-energize.

It's entrance is at the corner of Howe Street and Canada Place Way, overlooking the east cruiseship terminal at Canada Place.

**Please note: We do not take reservations for the patio as it is a first come, first serve basis. We also only will hold reservations for an additional 15 minutes.

The food is outstanding at Miku. Creative and delicious Japanese cuisine. A real pleasant surprise and different from the typical Sushi restaurant. It's pricey, so for lunch it's a special treat from the office from time-to-time. Also as a business lunch spot a few more combination type menu options would be appreciated when dining along. However, it's a new favourite spot for me - both the Aburi sushi lunch and the Tempeh salad I highly recommend. Can be noisy and staff are sometimes forgetful when you are waiting for a table, or in regards to who last spoke to you about what, but they are always friendly (there is a lot of staff).

Everything we had was awesome! The Salmon Oshi Sushi (Sokeye Salmon) and the Ebi Oshi Sushi (Pressed Prawn) were definitely my favourite. The dessert was also excellent! We shared the Passion Fruit Praline Dome - very light and tasty. The ambience is also very fun and lively. Great views of the Burrard Inlet as well. It is also the place to be seen as we bumped into the Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey team.

2nd time I have been to Miku and it was as good as my first experience. The one and only think I do not like is the noise level, it is so loud. No soft furnishings to absorb any of the noise. Other then that, fantastic restaurant.

Is my wife birthday over the pass weekend, so I decided to bring her to a nice Japanese food restaurant to celebrate, eating out always challenge for family with new born baby on stroller, so I was very very surprised when they put us in their special dinning room that only have 3 tables and lots of room for stroller... they gave us a big table that suppose to suit 6-8 ppls, and that private room has big windows facing harbor view too... my wife was so pleased and my baby girl was laughing and smiling all the way... the food was excellent, different but make sense and taste delicious, will go back many times in future for other occasion for sure....

Our server was from a very small island between NZ and Australia and she suggested that we let her bring a mix of food. It was fantastic. The food just coming and coming. Every course was wonderful. She also suggested a cold saki and generally I only drink the warm Saki. It was wonderful. A few times I started to wonder how much money I had spent but when it was all said and done we came in under the $100/head I was planning on. It is not an inexpensive place but it can also be very reasonable if you order off the menu. I would highly recommend eating there.

Went to Miku for my birthday dinner. I've been to Miku a few times already but never tried their Miku Shokai, which is their presentation of their trademark dishes. If you've never eaten here before, this would be a good option to go as you get to try not only sashimi but also their famous aburi sushi plus some of their other delectable dishes. My server was excellent so my dinner experience was very, very good.

We went for lunch with old friends and spent the better part of 2.5 hours lounging on the heated patio, munching away at the tastiest sushi in Vancouver. Far superior to Tojo's, both in food taste, and quality of service. What a lovely way to spend a sunny October afternoon.

Last time I came Miku with my friends at noon. We really prefer the environment and food. So for my birthday dinner, I came with my parents again. But at night for dinner, Miku is so noisy that make us feel uncomfortable. Food is still delicious but atmosphere is poor. And even I have leave a message for it's a birthday dinner, no one care about it. Actually just say "happy birthday" will make me feel sweet. Anyway I still recommend Miku to my friends for lunch. Food is really fresh and pretty.

The fish is extraordinarily fresh, the presentation beautiful, and the dishes delicious and creative. Our server (didn't catch his name unfortunately) was gracious and friendly. the view is stellar, but if you aren't by the window, it feels a bit pedestrian in terms of ambiance.
