Mike's Wine DiveSurprisingly Yummy!From the outside, Mike's Wine Dive looks less than impressive in it's location on Douglas street not far from Old Town, as the shopping center in which it's located utilizes quite a unique color scheme. Once you are inside, however, the atmosphere is warm & inviting, and the servers are attentive and helpful. The wine list is a bit daunting but provides options for tastes, glasses, & bottles with prices ranging from quite reasonable to WOW! Our food arrived promptly and was both attractive and delicious. Since my husband is a serious carnivore and I am an almost vegan who occassionally breaks down and eats dairy while dining out, finding a restaurant that suits both of us can be a challenge, but Mike's did a respectable job.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAll food was deliciousI had the sea scallops; very good but a little too much cracked pepper. My husband had the fajitas which were delicious (he even liked the avocado slices in them, & he doesn't eat avocados). Our son had the chicken quesadilla, & he loved it. We each had different desserts that included a scoop of ice cream, & those were the biggest scoops of ice cream we've ever had anywhere! On Mother's Day we went for brunch. The food was divine! I prefer a sit down brunch to a buffet so I was happy. The brunch is new so they had a few quirks to work out (someone refilled my husbands coffee with brewing tea, but it was resolved quickly and with humor).
