Craig was our waiter and he was such a delight! My husband loved all of the sports memorabilia!

I enjoyed the Ribs which were some of the best I ever had. The Crab Bisque was outstanding. Several of us had omlettes which we all enjoyed. Waiter was courteous, helpful and anxious to please.

Three people in our party of four ordered the meatloaf because it is so good! The food and portions are excellent.- there are always leftovers for the next day! The atmosphere is lively. Great time - Chicago is our kind of town! Ditkas was a surprise, very cool, hopping restaurant. Be prepared to spend $$$$. The food was great. And - the singer added to the atmosphere. We ended up having the best night out we've had in 10 years. The food was exceptional - best steak I've ever had and the chocolate cake was incredible. We also were seated a few tables from Mike Ditka's table. I did not want to bother him, but my wife asked him if it was ok to take a picture and he was incredibly nice.

I had the Seared Tazmanian Salmon, first time having salmon at Ditka's and it was great. I had to share how absolutely wonderful it tasted. We were lucky to be there the same night that Mike Ditka was there and he was very kind to pose for pictures. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and the service was excellent! We asked for bar seating as we were a bit underdressed and don't generally like to sit in the more formal dining room if we can sit in the bar with some sports on TV.
They took us to the upstairs bar - and sat us next to Coach Ditka himself!
Dinner was great, food of the usual expected quality. Service was attentive and not over-bearing. Coach Ditka was very nice to the many people who stopped by asking to take photos with him.
It's not something we spring for every month, but a reliable higher end (but not exorbitantly-priced) steakhouse meal a 2-4 times a year.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was outstanding.The food was outstanding. My wife and I went with another couple and we all got something different, and everything was great. The only downside was our service was a little slow. They weren't that busy, he just wasn't very good. The best part of our experience, besides the meal was that Mike Ditka was at the restaurant, and was very nice and gracious when we spoke with him. He was nice enough to allow us to have our picture taken with him. Management responded to my complaint, and said they would discuss it with their staff. This time, I the pace was more leisurely. The same gentleman who bussed our table the first time was on our table again. He even asked if I was done before removing the plates. Since I am a somewhat slow eater, I really appreciated that he asked.
Once again, the food and service were great, as was the atmosphere. My husband and I split our salad, main course and dessert. The steak and lobster special was delicious. The restaurant was just what we were expecting: Lots of pictures and memorabilia on the walls, which are furnished in dark wood, and the food was outstanding. I had the prime filet, cooked exactly to my request: Medium rare, but on the rare side. My son's medium rare twin filets were correct as well, and his shrimp scampi was delicious. The pictures and painting make the whole atmosphere come alive with the heritage of the NFL and Chicago. The staff was very friendly. They even called me to confirm my reservation. Usually I would have to call. They keep your glass full and your table clean. I was craving the food for the weeks knowing we were going. I've eaten all over the United States. This was THE best meal, best service, cleanest environment and nicest people I've ever had contact with. My chops were fantastic. My husband's filet was the MOST moist and tender ever. He's said he will never be able to order a steak and not compare it to this one. The banana cream pie was phenomenal. I will NEVER go back to Chicago without going here time and time again.
