Great experience. Food was very good and service was great. The only issue I had is that you get soup or salad with your entree. It is a pretty standard offering at hibachi restaurants to provide both with your meal. Kind of felt a little cheated on that part. Otherwise a cute, fun and delicious choice....

We've been coming to Mikado's now since they have been open. The very best thing is that you can always count on a great show, with only the freshest and finest meats and seafood. Great for all ages!! You will find this better than Kobe and/or Benihanas.

This place is AWESOME. I come to Palm Springs often and never miss a chance to go here. Everyone here is amazing I have 2 favorite people who keep me coming back. Sherwin at the bar is my boyfriend. He might not know it but he is lol. He is amazing. He is so polite and friendly. His accent is everything and I love that he knows like 4 different languages. I always come with a different group of friends and make sure that before my dinner reservation I have at least 30 min to an hr to spend with my boyfriend Sherwin lol. Then there is the chef Mike. He is freakin funny as all heck. Not to mention the best cook ever. His singing and jokes make the night so memorable. I had him for the first time on 8.18.14 and then again on 9.20.14 luv him

Great evening! We went as a family of 4 for my husband's birthday. The food and entertainment was a lot of fun. They were extremely accommodating, allowing the kids (ages 6 and 4) to share a combo kids plate. Service was amazing! If you are going to take the boat, I guess they've changed their tours. I would park at the restaurant, walk to the lobby and have the boat take you back to the restaurant. The no longer pick up from the restaurant.

I love the food here, they were short staffed in cooks, no problem. We ordered drinks appetizers! Enjoyed our Company. Our table spent over a thousand dollars and I wasn't even done eating and he was trying to box up my food. Then I boxed it up and kept eating and they asked us to leave! Are you kidding me?? I will go back to Kobe's from now on.

Service was excellent: staff was friendly, attentive, funny & fun. All the seafood was amazingly fresh & beautifully presented. We liked everything except the miso soup. It was our first time there & we were there for a birthday celebration. Along with a special dessert we were surprised with a picture postcard of the resort & the staff which they all signed with nice sentiments. The restaurant was quiet & clean with a beautiful decor. The resort boat ride to Mikado was great for a relaxing sunset ride. An overall great experience!

Have stayed here many times and always enjoyed Mikado. This time was very strange. We had first reservation at 5:30 and only 5 people at our table. The whole place was empty. As soon as they prepared things, they went around with boxes so you could take things home. This was crazy as we were still eating. Then they served the ice cream and told us it was waisabi. I told him I wasn't going to eat it and he said he was just joking. I ordered the fillet mignon and it was so salty and not cut up well so I had to leave it. Left half my dinner and half a drink and got charged $93. Won't go back, which is odd, because I had always enjoyed that place. Also now that I live here you have to pay to park to eat there, won't go back.

My wife and I go to Mikado every time we come to the low-desert area. Been doing so for 10+yrs and are never disappointed with the food and the show. Taking the boat ride over to the restaurant never gets old even though we do it every visit. We shared the combo meal, Filet Mignon and Lobster. They charge you $20 for the split charge, which seems a little high since all you get for that is double shrimp appetizer, double rice, double dipping sauce, double salad or soup, and double ice cream dessert. The steak and lobster is one portion and split between the two of you. All that being said we are still stuffed every time we leave, so plenty of food to share. We will always return to this great restaurant!!

The greeting was friendly. I was a single gal and they sat me with two couples and four guys on a guys I weekend. Smart. We waited 45 minutes for the chef to come to our table while the grill was on and we were roasting in the heat and the smoke from the other grills. It is a fun loud place. The cocktails are good and so is the wine list. The food is good but overpriced. I had fun and will probably go again sometime. I always like the green tea ice cream at the end of the meal. Beautiful outdoor waterfalls, bridge and rock garden. Better in winter or spring.

It was my girlfriend and I's three year anniversary and we had a wonderful experience. The gondola ride was very romantic. The swans and the sunset made a breathtaking photograph. We arrived at our reservation early but were seated promptly. Both family's that we sat with were very nice and respectful. The Chef was very impressive. His shrimp tossing skills were amazingly accurate and we had a few laughs over a bottle of Pino Noir. The food was delicious of course. To top it off they surprised me and my love with raspberry cheesecake at the end of our meal. Life is good. Thank you so much!

We came here to celebrate a birthday. This is a great place if you don't mind the noise level. We noted to be seated on quieter table but ended up on a table with loud 8 guys celebrating a birthday. The food was good and the man grilling the food did a fantastic job. One thing I did notice is that they used to give you a soup and a salad but this time I went they only gave a choice of one or the other. I wish they read my note placed with the reservation to OpenTable to know that I would have preferred a quieter table.

Were seated promptly after checking in . Waitress took order and came back with our drinks but that's it . Never came back to check on us or refill our drinks. The cook was pleasant an tried to make it fun for us but could not make up for the bland food taste that was served. For the price $40.00 per plate I was expecting better service and better food.

I Only wish they sat us with some fun people though, there were only 2 people at out table, and they were very much to themselves. But the our chef made up for it, he kept my husband and I laughing :-) It was a great Birthday Dinner! I would do it again :-) Maybe next time with a Fun Party Group :-)

I love this place, and teppan is one of my favorite meals. You can definitely go somewhere much cheaper. It is $50.00 a person on average (1 drink and dinner with fried rice) will go much much higher depending on the combo you select. The food is great but get ready to pay for it.
