Mignon - Prime Steaks, Seafood and Cocktails
One of a kind!Unique for far North Dallas where everything else is part of a chain.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day Brunch - 2013We attended Mother's Day Brunch at Minginon. It was by reservation only, so there was no crowds to contend with at the entrance and no waiting around for your table to be ready. The restaurant's website advised of a two hour period for brunch which appeared to be too much for some small children. The wait staff was excellent and very prompt. It was a three course meal, prix fixe & all three items were ordered at the start. I had the bibb salad, eggs benedicts and steak with potato hash, and completed the meal with the cinnamorn creme brulee for desert. All three of my offerings were excellent. My dining companions had similar high opinions of their meals. Overall, an excellent experiences.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA true gemFood, service, and ambiance combine to make this a great place to eat, drink, and relax. Comfortable bar, and a relaxing interior, as well as a GREAT patio for Texas evenings. Excellent salads. Steaks are great, but be sure to try the seafood dishes and the pork shank. Service is very smooth. One of our favorite places to eat. It also has great spaces for group dinners.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMour anniversary :)my husband and i celebrated our anniversary brunch there with several friends and had a lovely time... they made one of their private dining areas available to us and the food was excellent and the ambiance perfect !!! mignon is one of our favorite spots... brunch was excellent and everyone had a good time :)5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Anniversary DinnerPatio overlooked a little water feature. The service was very attentive and friendly. Crab cake was large and not oily like so many are. Wild boar was tender. The arugula&fig salad was awesome. One of the best salads I've had. The mozz&tomato was ok. The filet oscar and the prime rib were cooked to our specs. The filet was medium-well, but still very juicy. The ribeye was med-rare, well marbled and seasoned perfectly. The lobster mac&cheese was ok but not worth the price. The bread pudding & creme brulee were dissappointing. Martinis were very good. I recommend this restaurant but you may want to skip dessert and head over to Breadwinners next door for coffee and cake instead. It was a wonderful meal. Don't expect it to be cheap though.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious Weeknight ExperiencePhenomenal food, excellent service, pleasant atmosphere. As another reviewer stated, I don't understand why this restaurant isn't packed every night - the food is to die for! Appetizers and salads were delicious. Entrees: I ordered Filet Deux, my husband ordered a bone-in filet - all cooked to perfection! Desserts: creme brule and apple strudel - delicious!! Thanks to Dustin, our server, and Nick, the restaurant owner, for a delightful evening. Can't wait to go back!4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMDo not understand why MignonDo not understand why Mignon isn't packed every night of the week.
We caught a slow Tuesday night dinner, and it was excellent from go to stop.
Food was - as always - outstanding, service was attentive and prompt but never over-bearing. The Filet Deux was perfect, and the lobster Mac N Cheese is a must-have.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMEven after all the years,Even after all the years, Mignon still delivers: service, food and ambiance. After being away for several years, we returned to mignon for brunch and dinner and have found consistency in the food execution, and a moderately-priced wine program and generous cocktails. unstuffy, sometimes too much so, but has the right ambiance for differing meals.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love this place. Not justWe love this place. Not just basic steakhouse because food is gourmet.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWhile the food was perfectWhile the food was perfect - the waiter seemed to be having an off night. Don't let thgis stop you from dining at this GREAT Plano Gem!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a great birthday dinnerHad a great birthday dinner for my husband. Only complaint is that they did not offer a free desert for his birthday as many other restaurants do. No biggie as I will definitely be back.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
