Miel at the InterContinental Hotel BostonGood Night OutGreat food, our waiters were very attentive. Wine list a little overpriced, but worth paying for the view and people watching. Large number of outside seating, so plenty of table options.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMPaul was exceptional for usWe would like like to say what a delightful evening we had at Miel.
The table set up outside when we arrived was perfect.
Our server/host Paul was wonderful. Paul catered to our every need and anticipated questions as well. Paul's gracious hospitality and professionalism made our evening complete and we shall certainly return to Miel and recommend it to our friends and family.
The Robert Rizzo Family Party of 85/30/2013 12:00:00 AMVery Elegant and RomanticAlready a very fancy, but not over the top restaurant, if you come here on a nice day you can sit outside and have a beautiful waterfront view. The food is excellent and drink and wine list expansive. An excellent place to go for a date or special occasion.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMVery niceWe had a very good time at Miel.
The decor is beautiful.
This restaurant is the only place in Boston, where I felt I was having dinner somewhere warm, perhaps even Mediterranean.
The food was good, as well as the service.
We will be back.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Food with a Nice ViewThe food was very good and it is a good location. The decor could use a total overhaul - it looks it has not been done in a long time. We had the steak frites and the lobster orzo pasta, both of which were excellent.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMLimited time makes a good findWe were hard pressed for time and needed a quick meal. This was that. For me, nothing 'earth-shattering" but good just the same.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat brunchThe food and service were great, we are looking forward to going back.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time here - I will definitelyFirst time here - I will definitely be back. Service was top notch. Food was better than I expected. Would absolutely recommend the restaurant for lunch.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMWas very enjoyable! FYI theWas very enjoyable! FYI the chairs where oversized and hard we needed to ask for cushions for comfort and to reach the table with ease.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Food and Service! This was my first time at Miel. It is located within the Intercontinental Hotel.
Pros:
Outstanding food, service and view.
Cons:
This applies not only to Miel, but the rest of the Intercontinental's main lobby. It is somewhat plain and uninspiring. I'm not sure what I expected when I arrived but the design is not well though out. The opulence I thought I'd see was replaced with a mediocre design that made me think a well intentioned general contractor did the job without any help from design consultants.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful dinner. Food wasWonderful dinner. Food was excellent!! View could have been better positioning tables differently and eliminating some draperies. Service was very good. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Definitely would return to this restaurant.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMFrench food loversWe tried Miel during restaurant week and were extremely surprised! Loved the soup and scallop appetizers. Entres lamb and short rib were phenomenal! We weren't too keen with the desserts, which shocked us since this was a French restaurant. Would definitely come back though and perhaps try dessert on the regular menu.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was great and theThe food was great and the service superb.
We would definitely go back again.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely loved it! TheAbsolutely loved it! The staff treated up like royalty from the moment we arrived until the moment we left!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFour of us were at Miel FridayFour of us were at Miel Friday night for restaurant week. They had a decent restaurant week selection compare to some of the other French restaurants. Everything was delicious, with the exception of the short ribs, which was a bit salty. We were offered wine pairings with each course for $15, which was a great price for getting to try 3 different wines. The wines were also expertly paired and went perfectly with the food! Even though it was 9pm on a Friday night on restaurant week, the place was relatively quiet offering us plenty of privacy and a lot of space between tables. It was definitely intentional, as we saw a group being turned away as we were arriving. Overall it was a great experience and I would go therea again!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMsurprisingly good. salads, surprisingly good. salads, sole and salmon entrees all tasty & not overly rich. but best part was we asked for a few cookies for dessert (not on the menu) and they baked us 3 fresh cookies. awesome customer service!3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMa mixed review for a restauranta mixed review for a restaurant i usually enjoy. we both got the chicken club sandwich, and in both cases the bacon was fatty and cold, as was the egg, which made for a somewhat bland, congealed consistency. that aside, everything else was very good/great: bread, salads and the best pommes frites in Boston.12/26/2012 12:00:00 AMbest place for French inspired mealthe service is wonderful as usual! Awesome place to go for breakfast, brunch lunch and dinner. The menu is fabulous, I highly recommend this place!1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
