Mideastro is a bolt from the blue, er, Vaughan. Mediterranean fusion, Middle Eastern Plus. Chef Benny Cohen is wonderfully brash: He shows just why the Middle East is the spicemeister of the world and he mixes traditions with élan. Fish cocktails are glasses of chopped tuna-tabule salad mixed with… different liquors. Couscous, the ME’s fave starch, is handrolled to perfection matched with seafood, drenched in a rich, winey sauce.
