Mickey Mantle's SteakhouseBar reservation diningThe Bar area is a GREAT place to have your dinner, but, if you make a reservation thru Open Table and even specifically note you want the Bar, you do NOT have a reservation for the Bar. Apparently this can only be done by phone, which is not a user friendly method. The Bar is like a completely different and "hip" experience compared to the refined experience of the Dining Room. If you are going on the night of a big event, like a home Thunder game, get there early, unless you can manage to actually get a Bar employee on the phone before hand. We have never had a bad experience in the Dining Room or the Bar. Great staff and outstanding food are always the norm.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMTrue 5-Star Fine Dining!!!A thoroughly enjoyable treat for all - in a group ranging in age from 14 to 80. On par with the best anywhere, including the Rainbow Room, Morton's, Hallmark's 'the American', or yesteryear's Jasper's of Kansas City. Yes, as many complain, Mickey Mantle's is expensive, but so is every other restaurant of this quality and service - which made it so well justified! From steaks and Lobster to salads and deserts, every course was perfection to every pallet at our table!

My husband & I decided to celebrate our 15th anniversary there. Our steaks were cooked to perfection! Spinach salad was great! The service was attentive without being intrusive. We were even treated to complimentary dessert and given a "happy anniversary" gift card for a future visit. I don't eat at a lot of very expensive steakhouses but I have eaten at a few including, Ditka's and Lawry's in Chicago, and Morton's in Sacramento. I would say that this meal outdid them all. I had the cowboy rib-eye and it was cooked to perfection. That was expected. What put this meal over the top was the side dishes. I enjoyed the mashed potatoes, the macaroni and cheese, and the creamed corn. The potatoes and macaroni and cheese were both just so creamy and had great flavor. The creamed corn was not at the same level but it was good. I also tried the fried pickles for an appetizer which were very good, even with my lack of appreciation for dill pickles. Our server was also awesome!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThe extra mileMe and my husband went here for dinner on our wedding night. Things started out a little shaky but ended outstandingly. We were first seated at an odd corner booth but requested to be moved to a normal booth. They did so pleasantly. The waitress then walked us through the different menus and helped us make our selections. It could have been quite confusing if our waitress wouldn't have helped. We both ordered steak and both where under cooked. My husbands more than mine. We sent his back twice which was very frustrating but they brought us out fresh sides at no cost and waived the price of his beers and gave us a free desert. My wife and I both enjoyed our filets and the sauces used were great. Our complaints with the restaurant were that it was very loud while eating and for the price point we felt that the atmosphere could use some help. The first thing my wife noticed was that the menus were paper. Its a trivial issue but I feel that the nicest steakhouse in town should have the menus covered. It was quite possibly the beast steak I have ever eaten and I have eaten at all the major steak houses. I would for-go any seafood and just stick with meat. The japanese kobe beef and kobe beef are excellent. However, if you have a favorite steak stick with that. It was a once in a life time experience to try both and they were filling. However, after it all being said and done I wish I had stuck with my favorite of prime rib. Regardless it was all excellent but after that experience know no what I would get and what I would not get. The only thing that did not meet my expectations was the seafood. We really enjoyed this restaurant . The staff was very friendly, courteous , and informative about the means. Their service was top notch and the food was sublime. Everyone of the staff from the door greeter to the manager wished a happy anniversary. They made you feel relaxed and the dessert was excellent to top off the meal. We will definitely go back again an highly recommend this restaurant. Some of the high end restaurants charge high and give you little to satisfy your appetite. The seafood appetizer and the ceasar salad were terrific. The salad was not too cold, and not too over-dressed, but not dry either. Very refreshing. The table bread was also very complimentary. The bone-in "Cowboy Cut" Ribeye was cooked right to medium-rare as requested. The marbling was very solid, and the steak was very tasty. The sides of Sauteed Mushrooms, Lobster Rosotto, and Jalapeno Bacon Mac & Cheese were all terrific. We finished it off with a Spicy Chocolate Cake that had a strong taste of cinnamon. Not bad.
