Michael's - South Point Casino
Excellent food, outstanding serviceMake no mistake this place is pricey but you definitely get what you pay for and I personally would rather put my money where my mouth is than give it to the casino. Excellent food, one of the best veal piccata's I've ever had, Dom P sorbet palate cleanser? Awesome! Our server, (it was my BDay and lots of alcohol was involved so I cannot recall his name) but he was great, he made jokes and had a good time with us, also gave me a few good wine tips. They were very tolerable of our big, loud, obnoxious, intoxicated group for which I am very great full because it was a wonderful meal at a very nice resturant with excellent service, all around a great BDay meal that will not be forgotten. Thanks Michaels :)6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMSimply Fabulous! The food is superb! The staff treats you like royalty and always leaves you feeling special. Everything from the complimentary olive and crudités platter to the "chef's gift" of an enormous bowl of fresh fruit is just beyond anything you will experience in a high-priced venue. This place is very pricey but you will not leave wanting more.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMfine diningAlthough it was pricey (over 200 dollars - for two people), it was a magnificent dining experience. The service was superlative. It was not rushed (about 2 1/2 hours). The entire staff was extremely friendly and made you feel like one of the family. It starts with a pickled relish tray including sugar beets and quail eggs accompanied by two different types of crackers along with a unique and incredibly tasty cheese spread. After lemon sorbet with dom perignon as a palate cleanser, we had wild salmon (best I ever tasted) and the filet of sole (scrumptious). Perfectly cooked asparagus and shoestring potatoes (not oily) were also ordered. Dessert included chocolate dipped fruit and a fruit basket. You don't leave hungry! A class act!6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing food. Some of the best sea bass I've ever had and the lobster was MASSIVE! Great atmosphere. Service gave plenty of time to enjoy company. Relish dish at the start and fruit platter afterward you won't want for anything.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the BestMichael's is a hidden gem in Las Vegas. Though pricey it is an experience.
It is beautiful, comfortable seating, and the food is beyond description.
The service is beyond anything you'll ever experience.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe menu is outstanding includingThe menu is outstanding including lots of favorites--cherries jubilee, bananas foster, etc.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMMy experienceI first note that we Have eaten at many of the top restaurants in Las Vegas but none are even close to the overall experience we had at Michael's. although off the strip a ways the service, the food and the comfort of our time there was incredible. Far worth the short ride and the slightly higher cost. We had filet minon and the bass and both melted in your mouth...cocktails are cocktails right....not at Michael's...the desert tray was magnificant....you have to eat there as it will give you a new norm about how to judge you experience at your other favorite eating places....5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMMemorable dining experienceFor a memorable dining experience, try Michaels. Food and service beyond compare. Pricey, but well worth it. Lots of extras included making us feel very pampered.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing!I was enthralled from the moment we walked in the door. Service is impeccable. Food was outstanding. Very special evening. It is hard to imagine there is a nicer restaurant in Vegas.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMBrilliant eveningThe meal is an experience that includes the best service, table side preparation, fantastic wine selection and a dessert cart worth saving space for after such a fine meal. The Dover sole is not to be missed, nor is the bone-in filet. You barely know the service staff is there, but they anticipated every need.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't miss dining at Michael's...If you haven't ever treated yourself to dinner at Michael's inside the South Point, make time and a reservation now! It was one of my best dining experiences in Las Vegas. The food and service was outstanding - truly an awesome dining experience.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service and food wereThe service and food were both outstanding as always.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMOne QuestionThe food, service and the place is very good. The only question is why there is no price on the menu ?! Luckily Open
Table indicated to me that the price range is $$$$ or I will just stand up and go away. However it is a great pleasure to dine in this ourstanding restaurant, it is so different from the other restaurant on the LAS strip.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMVery NiceAwesome Service,Probably the Best Steak I have ever tasted.Lobster Was Delicious.
But Very Expensive5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMTop Of The LineBest gourmet room in Las Vegas, old school, new school, bar none.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMTop 5 Dining Experiences LifetimeOf all the places we have eaten in the world from Spain to Portugal to the best spots in Vegas, this was one of our favorites if not the best. From the moment you walk in the service is perfect. Every member of the staff was on cue. The table side service was great and the food was excellent. This is not the place if your wallet is light-but when your funds are correct-set a reservation right away. Will recommend to all that ask and those that don't as well.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFine diningMichaels was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Excellent food with very nice presentation, quiet atmosphere, impeccable service, and overall just an outstanding dining experience.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMTreat YourselfFine dining at its best. Excellent food, quality service and ambience rolled into one great experience. We had veal piccata, lamb, and dover sole. All were well prepared. The wait staff were considerate and knowledgeable. Service was excellent. They did everything to make our physically challenged friend comfortable. As senior citizens we appreciated their attention to our needs and advice. We have dined at Michaels previously and will continue to do so. Come hungry as the portions are quite generous.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMOur first time at Michael's.Our first time at Michael's. The experience was incredible. Service was great food was great. And plenty! Make sure you go there hungry otherwise you"ll be disappointed you couldn't try everything. Pricey but worth it for what you get: service, great food, and an awesome experience.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a highlight of anyAlways a highlight of any trip to Las Vegas. The service, ambiance are excellent not to mention the food.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMDefinitely one of the bestDefinitely one of the best meals I've ever had. My wife and I split the stone crab appetizer ($60) and we had the filet mignon ($78) and lobster ($105) for our entrees. Creamed spinach and au gratin potatos as sides were great also. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service is exceptional. Stone crab app, dinner, 4 glasses of wine, one dessert, 2 coffees, and tip ran me just under $500. It's pricey, but as I said the atmosphere and service are top notch and the meal is definitely one of the best I've ever had. Highly reccommended for special occasions or an exceptional meal while in Las Vegas.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything we had heard itEverything we had heard it would be -- which is quite a compliment, considering the great reviews it has!4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMMICARVinny and Christopher. We're excellent, everyone of the employees treated us like royalty
As local we were made to feel very very sprcial
We will be back3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMI always want to go back.I always want to go back. Beside the excellent food and wine, we were treated with respect and care.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMGood EveningWe were there on a Monday night, and were only 1 of three parties. The food was absoltuely great. Staff was great too, but they clearly had a lot of time. I wish the lighting were a bit more subdued. Candles or directed lighting at the tables, and less general lighting overall would make the ambience more intimate. Plush chairs and booths, so I suspect it is quiet even when it is full.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMMy new favorite Las VegasMy new favorite Las Vegas restaurant! Unforgettable experience!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMA very fine restaurant indeed.A very fine restaurant indeed. We will definitely return!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWish we had known soonerVery nice restaurant. We did not discover the reataurant until our last few days in Vegas. This is an "old school" romantic restaurant. You are given more food than you can possibly consume but it is all great. They offer a wine list when seated but you need to ask for the complete list. Service is impecable. When we return to Vegas this will be at the top of the list. Because it is located at South Point Casino, you need a car or enough money for a taxi. Worth the extra effort to get there.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have been coming to MichaelsWe have been coming to Michaels for years. Jose greets you at the door with a smile and kind word then expertly hands you off to one of the Captains who do their job with skilled precision. There is no better food in Las Vegas...period!! Special occasion as the prices aren't for the faint of heart BUT so very worth it!!3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMThere were 4 of us and althoughThere were 4 of us and although it was expensive it was well worth it. The best Caesar salad we've ever had and we travel fairly frequently. Service was impeccable and we would definitely come back.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was really outstandingThe service was really outstanding and of course, the food was great too!3/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
