This was our first time at Michael's and it met all of our expectations. We were seated promptly, the atmosphere is on the darker side with high backed chairs in the middle for a more private atmosphere and booths around the outside. Red velvet - small and intimate. I haven't experienced this in a long time... the ladies menus had no prices and of course the men's did. We started with cocktails and wine (cocktails $30 each and wine by the glass - anywhere from $30 and up). They have a complimentary type of relish tray which had quail eggs, baby vegetables, marinated olives and a spread of some kind. They also had 2 types of bread. One couple split the shrimp appetizer (which was made tableside and they split for them), I had the crab cake ($35) which was one of the best crab cakes I have ever had. My husband had the snails (marginal). In between courses they served us a sherry glass full of sorbet and topped it off with Dom Perignon (nice). We shared a Chateaubriand ($200) which was served beautifully. The side of vegetables were some of the best I have ever eaten served in a "basket" of shredded potatoes. Another person had the sea bass ($98) and the other veal (there are a lot of veal choices). We also had au gratin potatoes and creamed spinach as sides. We ordered the dessert trolley which had a lot of tempting choices. We had creme brulee (not much you can do with that), cheesecake (excellent) and rum cake (excellent). The also brought a large fruit bowl out with grapes, apples, etc. All in all a great experience -- but be ready to pay the price (over 1K for 4 people without tip). If you want a really special experience, I would recommend this.

Reviews highlight birthday accommodations (complimentary cake, candle, celebratory service), recognition of regulars and attentive personalization. Call the restaurant when booking to request seating preferences, dietary needs, or celebration details so staff can prepare.

Families do dine at Michael’s, and guests often celebrate birthdays and anniversaries with children and teens. The focus is classic steaks, seafood and tableside presentations rather than a kids’ menu, so for younger children consider an early seating and call ahead to discuss menu flexibility. The room is intimate and quiet, so many families choose it for special occasions.

Yes, families and multi‑generation groups dine here, and guests regularly celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. Portions at Michael’s are generous, guests frequently note very large servings and leftovers to take home. Yes, Michael’s is a classic, romantic choice for a special date night. Guests praise the intimate, old‑Las Vegas dining room, red‑velvet booths, stained‑glass ceiling and soft, quiet atmosphere that encourages lingering conversation. Expect tableside preparations (Caesar, chateaubriand) and a theatrical dessert cart (Bananas Foster, Cherries Jubilee). It’s a pricier experience, so reserve in advance and dress business casual for a memorable evening.
